Lan Midea , directed by Gaau Leung Guk and Zou Jicheng, script by Bian Zhihong, Wu Nan and Chou Heyang, starring the incredibly handsome and talented Hong Kong actor Wallace Chung.
The story, based on the movie Bodyguards and Assassins (produced by Peter Ho-Sun, directed by Teddy Chan), is an HKFA winner for Best Motion Picture in 2010.
The story sets its background in the late Qing Dynasty, the early 1910s, not long before the Xinhai Revolution. It was the worst of times. It was the best of times. It was the season of light, an era of patriotism. Many industrialists were doing their best for what was best for their country, Li Chongguang being one of them.
Born in an old and well-known family, Li was brought up to be a gentleman. But he did not follow the path chosen for him. He secretly joined the revolutionary political party and became a faithful follower of Mr Sun Yat-sen. He died for the noble cause. However, his death was not the end of everything but the beginning. Tieshan, the Imperial envoy, who killed Li, was on to his family. Li Yutang, Chongguang's father had no choice but to hire someone to take Chongguang's place. The stand-in, whose name was Wang Asi, looked like a twin brother to Chongguang. It was a perfect substitution. Before long, Asi was appointed General Office of Huanan Arsenal. In this clip, he was to make an inspiring speech. This clip is one of the most exciting moments of the whole show.
