I met Grof´s work at the beginning of this century after a powerful psychedelic experience I had with 19 years and it was a blessing to stumble with his book "The Holotropic Mind" on a book store in my home town Fuengirola. That book put into words and did more manageable and understandable the confussion my mind was living on at the time after the experience, it made much easier the integration of the experience. That book opened the door to Grof´s work for me, that I´ve followed since, and allowed me to know about the Transpersonal movement and deepen in the mystic traditions of our world heritage. I really, really hope that Australia approves access to psychedelic-assisted therapies in medically controlled environments so that a domino effect follows next in other countries in time. The world and the human race really needs this. From the heart.
That will NEVER happen in Australia. Marijuana is still illegal in this country!!! I was given 3 months prison for 1/2 a seed husk.....!!!! If we can't research THC how will they allow more than that? Remember when Gilliad commissioned a multi-million $$ study on whether to legalise marijuana or not & when the vast number of experts all said legalise Gilliard said "We won't be going down that road in Australia"! If this is the response of a government to a study they commissioned that taxpayers paid for is that not an indicator of the absolute terror the politicians in this country have of just legalising weed!! Imagine the quaking terror of any mere thoughts reguarding using the amazing medical powers of psychedelics for healing when they could goal people for psychedelics rather than allow specialist psychedelic help!!! Also psychiatric patients are very hellpful for the monetary growth of the Pharmacutical industry & the governments here are all on the payrolls of the companies so I'm sorry but just forget the concept of ever having any studies at all regarding psychedelics in Australia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
