Lindey, love your channel and all your advise. Taking the step into retail will have its challenges. I used to resource some of my selling from a bin store near a relative and they had to close down (not due to the pandemic). When I asked the owners why they were closing this is what they said (so keep this in mind). 1) Theft - there was a lot of merchandise being stolen and they could not recoup the cost 2) Organization - people would open all the packaging and then just throw it on the floors or leave it in the bins which made it hard to sell those packages; they had to hire additional help to clean. 3) High end items - initially when they first opened they let the high -end items go at the same price as normal items; they changed this model and pulled some items (laptops, XBoxs, etc) to the side and charged about 50% retail value - helped them recoup more cost 4) The model started to low, but went like this: Friday $10, Sat $8, Sun $7, Mon $6, Tue $4, Wed $2, and Thur 9am-12 $0.50. Eventually they changed it to start at $15 an item on Friday. They were closed on Thur after 12 to restock. Good luck in your new venture!
Congratulations Lindey 👏! Your dream of opening a store front is becoming more of a reality. Your husband and friends built some awesome bins. Great to have family and friends help you through this process. Great seeing your mom! Wishing you the best success! Continue to be a blessing!
Just wanted to toss out some pros and cons from someone who's been there. We opened a $1 Only store before it was 'cool'. This was 1996 and I was just out of school. We purchased from dollar suppliers and shelf pull/closeout liquidators. Stocking was fun and finding the great deals were the pros. Cons: the hours. This was a family business, and we quickly found the hours burnt us out and if you hired employees all the profit went out the window. #2 was shoplifting. Craziest memory...I personally watched a lady pull a handful of screws out of a plastic mixed pack and add them to another before going the the register. The extra screws might have been worth a few cents. We put in a little more than a year, sold the store and went online. Good luck!!
Have a spot where you can open the mystery boxes people will open these boxes by themselves & have a security guard there’s a lot of theft in these places.
I started following you like 4 years ago. Just want to say good job with all the progress you’ve made in the last 4 years! Cheers to the next step and keep moving the game forward!
Wow, what a great service to your community! Blows my mind, all that resell stuff. We are consumers, born and raised! Congratulations on your great looking big store!
Re-order as soon as you are financially able. The delivery supply chain will be slowing down in another month through spring, and you don't want to end up with empty tables and nothing to sell. Also, remember "Dollar General" just had to raise its prices. Make sure your costs are spot on. Looks good. You got this. Congrats!
How do you price things? Are you not keeping up with inventory counts? Several unopened smaller boxes. Aren’t you curious what’s in those? Interested in seeing how this works
That's my question too how are you going to keep up with inventory how are you going to keep shrinkage from happening all that theft opportunity and how in the hell are you going to price this stuff
Nice video! Just wondering if you're checking lids and expiration dates on all that medication and those consumables to protect yourself and your business.
Also, now that I have seen the layout of the store, it at least a peek at it, and after seeing the Amazon bins store you went to before… I am VERY excited to see how you will operationalize. How often you will get truckloads, what prices on what days, etc. I could never do this so I am going to live vicariously through you!!!
That looks well organized which keeps your customers moving and not digging all day. Excellent. Get a bunch of cameras and watch those splinters on the wood bins.
No, yours is better than other bin stores lol. Your merch is clean, new in box and I love that you’re organizing it. I expected more of a boutique with larger items but I’m getting your vibe. Best of luck to you!
Wow. Pretty great. I assume the items are $1 each or cheaper? I've been to several bin stores at this price or cheaper. Just like the Goodwill stores that charge $0.70 per pound.
I am so impressed with the direction you have gone with your reselling and your business. It is so refreshing to see a reseller break away from the drama and the poshmark trap. I am currently trying to get away from it now. Wishing I could get my ebay biz off the ground again
Lindey awesome store we are doing this also next year so We are praying you have a blessed opening and you rock this your incredible you got this girl. Love your Chanel !
Wow, it's going to be quite a job keeping those bins stocked regularly. Are you going to take on some employees or try to run this with just friends and family?
yea there is no way this will fail, the deals are too good ( via the products I see). What do the signs on the wall say? What is your pricing strategy? Will you have various prices on various days?
Just had a thought….you should give subscribers a pass to your first day open and advertise that in your town! What an amazing way to really up your subscriber count. Anyway…just an idea that I thought of and thought I would share it with you. :) best of luck on this journey…it has been so fun watching you evolve. You’re such a energetic positive person and I have really loved watching you through the years. :)
Such a variety of stuff and so much of it. If you price it well it is going to empty out fast. I hope you do a video of the grand opening. I wonder if it will look like the sales Reseller Rabbit does in his warehouse.
It will be nice when you get everything lined out so that we know where you are I'm in Wichita but I might make a trip to come up and Shop in your store oh yeah
Your shoppers will ignore the neatly organized bins and want to find a treasure from the unorganized bins. The time to organize will soon become an apparent waste of time.
Agreed, but it looks like they mostly just organized the liquid items, or at least tried to stand them all up. Probably the best idea, so they can make sure lids are tightened. Spillage could ruin lots of surrounding items if it was just tossed in a pile.
hey looks like fun...lol...are you still answering questions about ebay? I have one how does the buyer choose a shipping method different from what my measurements and weight indicate?
Like other people commented on, I'm interested oh how you price and sell. I understand the book keeping end and P&L statement. But I like to see how you know the price of items because it looks like id a lot of categories there a a large difference in value between items. Resale Rabbit does this every few months. He collects products. and has a few price points, Like $1, $2, $5, $10 & $20 on the first day and marks down over 3 day. I don't know of any bin stores except Goodwill bins in this area which is sold by the pound. I like your set and selection of merchandise. Wish you success.
Holy cow, Lindey! 1) I got severely exhausted watching you guys work so hard. Such a feat. 💪🏻 2) What an accomplishment! So proud of you! ❤️❤️❤️ 3) Did you hubby build all those bins? 😱 4) Now I need to come shop!! Like seriously, even though I don’t sell HBA anymore, beyond obsessed with WSN and HBA! 😍😍😍

Your leap of faith is very encouraging. You got this!

Thank you I made my first sell today because of your helpful videos and 💖! 🙏😍🤩🎉🔥🔥🚀😃🥂
You are my spirit animal! You are definitely a beast!. I would love to learn how you set this up in bookkeeping and how you priced items in the bins.
How do you know how much each item costs when it's strewn into the bins?
I'm so proud of you!!! It's so exciting and we all want you to succeed!
Lindey, you are living my dream (and yours of course!)! So exciting to watch it all unfold! You got this!
That was so much work. I truly wish this to be a huge success and your customers flood in!! You deserve it!

How do you price the items? Is it bin one items this much, bin 2 this much... how do you know which item comes from where, how do you track inventory?
Beautiful store Lindey, and so inspiring!! I would totally shop there daily!!
Whew! I’m tired just watching you all work. Looking great!
Your dream becomes reality!! Congratulations Lindy and Family. 🤗🥰🤩

I’m curious to but wonder if it’s done when items are purchased. I do see skus on items.
Everything is one set price(like $7) and goes down daily until all the bins are empty, usually weekly
That’s amazing, congratulations! Greatest of luck to you!
Nice video! Just wondering if you're checking lids and expiration dates on all that medication and those consumables to protect yourself and your business.
Is this a law everywhere? My liquidation store sells expired anything
@@nfldshorty21 in most states all items that have expire dates can be sell up to 6 months out.
So Amazing!! God Bless you in all you do!
?????Hey Lindey boo! Will you be filming your grand opening day? Also will you still be selling with your online store?
Fly lady. Looks wonderful. What are you doing with your Ebay store?
Is your hubby now working with you full time? Everything looks great.

I've been to a few bins stores and this is by far the nicest and most organized I've seen! Way to go Lindey!!! Can't wait to watch u grow even more!!!
Disorderliness happens after customers unfortunately
@@nfldshorty21 I was thinking the same thing, a lot of nasty people digging through unfortunately
Wow! What an initial task getting it all out there on the shelves. That looks like the hard part. Do you have things in any order/ categories?
Great vid! Congratulations on your store!
Just wondering how you plan to keep your carpet clean? All that foot traffic is going to make it dirty fast.
A vacum
That looks well organized which keeps your customers moving and not digging all day. Excellent. Get a bunch of cameras and watch those splinters on the wood bins.
Wow what did I miss? Last time you was buying from these places
Soooooo Awesome Lindey!!!
No, yours is better than other bin stores lol. Your merch is clean, new in box and I love that you’re organizing it. I expected more of a boutique with larger items but I’m getting your vibe. Best of luck to you!
Yes! I like the organized sections better, it's just so overwhelming otherwise
Best of luck to you Lindey!!! Your such a go getter. I am inspired by you. God Bless!!!!

That's what I would do.
