Inspired by the Love of Jesus Christ
Verse of the Day (as related to the topic of this video):
"Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [greatest] reward. It is the Lord Christ whom you [actually] serve." - Colossians 3:23-24 (AMP)
A movie I highly recommend: The Gospel According to Matthew (starring a very animated and engaging acting performance by Bruce Marchiano, who plays Jesus). This is a word-for-word adaptation that has a unique take on the body language and charisma of Jesus, and also makes it easier to understand and quicker to read the story. I am hopeful that this movie gives you peace, love, hope, security, comfort, and answers, as it did me, and continues to do to this day. God bless you.

Couldn't agree more with this. The moment when Uncle Iroh hugs him after everything, Zuko's face in shock is just, absolute proof that this poor boy was convinced that he was unworthy of love and that is a terrible thing for someone to live with, while also Beautiful to see that he had his Uncle there for him, to prove to him that of course he's worthy of love, and most of all. Forgiveness.

To this day, Zuko's arc going from angsty antagonist with so much emotional baggage and trauma to his emotional confusion to finding his true path in terms of redemption and finding true friends and family in Team Avatar, i.e. Aang, Toph, Katara, Sokka, and Suki, as well as forgiveness and unconditional love through his surrogate father, Uncle Iroh, to ascending the throne as Fire Lord is the most beautifully woven story I have ever witnessed on the small screen.

The best thing about Avatar is that the story goes about a 112 year old boy who gonna save the world. Anyways what makes the show great is that every character has his own storyline and how it shapes his/her personality. It feels like it’s not always about the Avatar but people around him need to be praised like everyone got a piece of the Avatar in them selves too

Exactly the reason why I'm never satisfied with Legend of Korra. I love Korra's Saga. But it was so wasted because there were so many potential for background exploration such as the remaining Equalists, Red Lotus, etc. Mako and Bolin had terrible childhood and never got explored how their lives were before firebenders struck their parents down. Asami never had anything on her despite seemingly like a good character to be explored. Zaheer and others also, and many more. It's like the series was rushed.

Zuko is definitely a character I related to the most as someone who tried to please someone who didn’t care for years, struggled with anger and trauma, suffered abuse from a family member, ex friends, and ex boyfriends, and had issues with my father who wasn’t around. Just like Zuko I only had one person who “ grounded me “ and gave me advice and that was my grandmother.

What I LOVE about Zuko is that he's such a relatable character. The voice actor for him, Dante Bosco, did a great job expressing Zuko's emotions, especially his anger. We're all like Zuko. Sometimes, we all make mistakes, we all get sad, we all get angry, we all can get emotional and tend to have anger issues. We sometimes go through traumatic experiences that can affect us deeply as we get older. Heck, even I can relate to Zuko. I have anger issues and get angry often and I can get emotional sometimes, but that's okay. I have flaws, just like Zuko, and I embrace them. Zuko also has flaws, like having anger issues, and he embraces them because that's what makes him who he is and that's what makes him human.

Great video, I went through a lot when I was a kid and had many pent up emotions. I honestly love Zuko and his story
Also can you do a video on Sokka? I think most people over look his story because it was more subtle but he went from being an arrogant, sexist and insecure boy that had so much self doubt and had amazing people around him (he couldn't bend) to a confident man. He didn't realise how valuable he was coz of his doubt and I think a lot of people had a lot of insecurities and do relate to him but in a much more subtler way. Relatability in general can be very subjective depending on what person you are or what kind of struggles you deal with.
Objectively speaking there are many characters in animation that can be considered as reletable but as far as"the most reletable character"goes, that is an entirely subjective matter in it's own way.

The writer is a human being like us and just like us he also has his own way of perceiving and expressing the idea of reality and how he views it.
In the end it all comes down to who can relate to that reality and if it impacts their lives in a meaningful way.
After all fiction is simply a way of self-expression and it's because of that, that fiction is capable of touching our hearts because it gives us something inspiring or something to relate and learn from.
It's not really a matter of what's right or wrong but how much faith you're willing to put in that reality that's what decides your future.

One thing i love about this show and it's why i keep rewatching it is bc i can connect with every character somehow. I have Aang pacifism and spirtuality, Katara rebelious sentiment, toph individuality and Sokka's sense of humor.
But one of the characters i most deeply connect is Zuko. His jorney and development inspire me on life. I was a jerk, lots of times, i lied, i was angry, i betrayed people i loved, i messed up real bad some times. But at that period, like you said, i was "brain-washed" by others ideas, but when i passed through deep comtemplation and reflexion i lighten my way up. And it wasn't one time or two, it requiered and still require A BUNCH OF TRIES.
Today i have people whom love me, and like me. But i was alone before, thiking i would be forever lost, in the dark, confused and living on a meaningless life. Finding my on way of restoring my honor, is what saved me. And i can only get better and better from here.
We all change, we just need time.

Amazing vid. I struggle w self doubt a lot cause I'm a perfectionist and my Dad never really meant to but was hard on me making me feel like I could never live up to his expectations. Later on I realizied that trying to be like my father was the problem, instead of being me. RUclips and the community Im a part of has really helped me realize its okay to be me & I do have something awesome to share; I just had to realize that all I had to do was put it out there and go from there regardless of the outcome (within reason of course).

Excellent video! Probably one of my favorites though the Confidence one was also a great one. More of these Avatar videos please! ;-)Very thought-provoking and such a universal message and show. What I wonder is what path would Zuko take if his father hadn't banished him?

He was one of my favorite characters throughout the show. I really related to that early anger and confusion. But overall identity crisis. Excellent character Growth.

I have a theory that when he was trying to make lightning and it explodes in his face. That might just be combustion bending. So maybe combustion bending is an subset of lightning that for those not in line one way or another spiritually it's more powerful than firebending generally but has not reached the lightning level or whatever

You should do an analysis on aang! I think he’s such a great and underrated character and not many talk about his character, great video tho!

Since his mom disappeared and especially after he was banished he probably didn't talk to a girl for two years. Since he was so focused on finding the Avatar. The first interaction we see him have with a girl is when he captures Katara in the waterbending scroll.

i understand where your coming from. there are times where we all go through this. there are times i almost or do relapse into my dark past behavior, but i still get over it quick because its not worth hurting myself or others the most. going through self destruction or inner battle like Zuko did or went through is a reminder that we can change OUR OWN LIFES. its like at times there no one that can help or save you, but the the person that can is you: i say that because i went through that about 5 almost 6 times. the reason i say self destruction because at times you will do anything or hurt anyone for what you want or get what you deserve.
but Zuko saved himself but realizing what HE needed to do and do what is right. but as we saw him going through the Earth Kingdom he sees and understands whats going on and what the Fire Nation has done such: the girl that was burnt and the family that had a son that was in the war and was captured(i know there is more, can remember ATM). but as Zuko and Iroh lives him life in the Ba Sing Say, Zuko then sees a new form of life working as a civilian(even though he hates it). but after he goes through the metamorphosis state, he changes into a calm, humble and loving young man: he became a calming flame of life instead of a unstable wildfire of destruction.
then though Zuko turned, part of him had regret and uneasiness but he finds the answer and goes the right way. it wasn't easy but he learned and had help from the others around him. in a way he found his center of himself and became a true hero in a way or life a real phoenix: he was reborn a new in many ways to be strong not just for other but to HIMSELF. i do agree and say Zuko is the most relatable and more realistic character of the series. i was poor as a child, grew up with the real world struggles and facing what's going on(mentally and physically).
we all have our share of: backstabbing, lying, trauma, issues showing emotions and more. but what we can do is try to remember is not to loose ourselves and our own way that we make for ourselves and stay to it, if we are lost. stop, sit down and gather your thoughts. try to remember where you are, find that direction again and go that way. if you want to change your direction to better it, think hard and well because you won't know if it will be good or bad.
Zuko was lost through each road of his life but in the end he found his way: like finding your way home. i think we all should remember that as a true life lesson and/or experience. i been through this and i bet others have. lets all remember life is hard, times will be harder, forgiveness has to be earned and remember you are strong and never give up.
