Hi guys! Here’s a great recipe for hot wiener hamb sauce. Try this! It’s fantastic! 1lb of Hamburg (80 - 85% lean), 3tbs butter or margarine, 1 onion chopped into small pieces, 1 1/2 tbs chili powder, 1tbs garlic powder, 1 1/2 tbs allspice, 1 1/2 tbs salt, 1 1/2 tbs celery salt, pinch of black pepper, 1Cup water. Have the Hamburg ground at least 2 or 3 times more when u buy it. Mix the Hamburg and butter in a stock pot. Simmer until we’ll mixed. Do Not cook the meat at this time. Next add the water and mix. Add the rest of the spices and simmer until most of the water has boiled off. With the spices used, season to taste. To build the wiener toast the bun if desired. Steaming the buns is the Rhode Island Way! Put wiener in bun, put mustard on wiener, put the sauce on mustard, put raw onions on wiener, and finally sprinkle celery salt on top of onions. Recipe multiplies well. I usually make about 3 times the recipe and freeze in small containers. Delicious! Enjoy

Those are "loose coneys", using ground beef or chuck. The original coney dog is a sausage made of beef and pork, in a natural lambskin casing, in a steamed bun, with the special chili, mustard and onions. Snaps when you first bite into it...hey...I'm from Detroit! Thanks for a great video!

On this cook we used Kayem pork & beef hot dogs. In the future I would probably use Pearls brand all beef. jeff turned me onto those things and I love them,,, which is ironic becuase I usually do not like all beef dogs. The Kayem are pretty mild, I wouldn't go out of my way to get them but if you come across Pearls brand all beef, give em a shot,,, really nice flavor.

Absolutely awesome! I just bought the Blackstone 36 without the air fryer (already have one of those). This Coney Island sauce looks great! New subscriber as well. Here in Perth NY we just got 24 hours of freezing rain followed by a foot of snow. Glad I got the hard top and the cover... Can't wait to try this and about 27 of your other ideas as soon as I can get to the new griddle. Thanks for saving us new griddlers a ton of food and heartache with your great tips. I'm hoping it works half as well as the monster we had at the restaurant I ran 35 years ago...

2 points: 1) I'm from Cincinnati and worked at Skyline Chili for about 5 years so Cincinnati Chili is similar but better than the "Coney Island" style and should be sampled. 2) I HATE HOT DOGS. Try these with spicy Metts (sausage). Local hole in Cincinnati, Mr. Gene's Doghouse does this well.

So here in Cincinnati we have several places we can get Coney Dogs, ......Skyline, GoldStar. Bun with a dab of mustard, the dog then the special chili sauce over the dog. Onions are optional, then grated sharp cheddar cheese on top. A CINCINNATI TRADITION!!! We also serve the chili over spaghetti with the grated sharp cheddar cheese.......If you are ever in Cincy or close by stop by a Skyline and try it!! Good Job Guys!!

I’m going to make the sauce next time, have been using chili. Will switch it out.

Appreciate the video, dogs looked great! Next time sprinkle some feta cheese on top of the coney(or slime sauce as we call it in western NY)sauce. You’ll thank me later. Keep having fun and making videos. I know I’ve been getting together with close friends, cooking and drinking all along through this just like you all!

Finally..some normalcy! You guys remind me of my three brothers. They love to cook and talk smack. Being the only girl, I got to hold my own with them. So I pick on them and they pick on me. Lol. What can I say? We're from NY but currently living in Florida. Stay well you guys. Tfs 😁 Miss Coney island sauce. Now I can make it myself.

Looks delicious 🤤. How many propane tanks do you keep on hand? That’s a beautiful kitchen, by the way!

That looks absolutely wonderful guys!! Would a good description of the consistency and taste be along the lines of a "sloppy Joe"? Being from the southwest part of the U.S., I would be inclined to include several kinds of chili pepper type spices and give it some "zing". Missed not seeing you guys for a while. Please keep yourselves and you families safe!! Cheers!
