I have to say, Denji's and Asa's interactions in the Infinite Aquarium make for some of the most effective emotional interactions I've ever seen in a Shonen. I think part of it is seeing how far Denji has come, from being utterly self-centered and borderline feral to being able to empathize with someone he initially found not only annoying, but who reminded him of the trauma Makima inflicted on him.
His ability to grow beyond his own pain and see when someone else isn't hurting him on purpose, but because she herself is lonely and in a lot of pain herself is some of the best character development I've ever seen, and the confirmation he's saving up to send Nayuta to college is just so good to have. I've never, ever in my whole life been so emotionally fulfilled by seeing a Shonen manga protagonist go to high school.

I have to agree, the aquarium has been the best Part 2 has to offer so far! Denji has shown a lot of growth and I’m EXCITED to see what his relationship with Nayuta is like!

In my personal opinion Fujimoto took a big risk in part 2 with Asa as a protagonist for many reasons ( female mc in shonen, switch in POV) but I do think that he has something planned with it as we already saw a lot of development from Denji and Asa as a protagonist shows a different side of this world how an actual "normal" teenager would behave in fact how Denji would have been like if he lived like a normal kid.

100% he took a MASSIVE risk in doing this. And I HOPE he can pull it off, it’s just not doing it for me right now. And yes I agree with the different perspective of the world from Asa.

To be honest this video doesn't really make much sense. You say that chainsawman part 1 was at its best when there were quiet character building moments and not the epic fight scenes, but later you say that the slower pace (more character building moments) is worse than part 1. Complaining about the 4 horsemen being overused is fair, but how is that supposed to make you uninterested in the devils? The only real critisism that I can find in this video is the fact that you don't like Asa as much as Denji and wish that Denji was the mc in part 2 aswell. That's fair, but it's not surprising that Asa is not as interesting as Denji when there are only currently 20/21 chapters. Denji was not that interesting around that time compared to later in the manga. Either way, you're completely fine to be dissapointed by part 2, but your arguments aren't very well thought out imo. My main problem with part 2 is the fact that there are very few side characters, and the ones we have we know basically nothing about. Yuko was amazing though, but since she's dead I don't count that.

I think maybe the message of the video was a little over exaggerated - I am actually enjoying Part 2 and am continuing to read it each week - but I’m disappointed in certain aspects. I didn’t say the slower pace was worse than Part 1, instead said it left something to be desired in the SWITCH between Fast and Slow pace. There wasn’t a gentle decline. I’m not a fan of the Four Horseman trope but am interested in seeing what Fujimoto can do with it. I also mentioned that I’m sure Asa will grow - because I don’t doubt that.
It’s definitely I’m disappointed right now, instead of I outright hate this.

Valid takes, and I can't totally say you're wrong because we won't really know what's what till we're at the end of Part 2. And I agree, the change in pace is jarring, and there's a big sad Denji-shaped hole in the story that. But I'ma argue for a bit anyway.
In defense of Denji vs. Asa as protagonists, Denji's character arc in Part 1 was veeeery drawn out. He made such miniscule changes and over such a long time that it only really becomes obvious in hindsight. I wasn't reading along when it was coming out, but I think there were people who were really frustrated with how little agency he showed up until the last arc. Meanwhile, Asa has been doing a lot of growing over a much shorter time span She's very active in the plot, making a lot of decisions for herself and actively trying to get her way. She's different from Denji, and I think if we give it time we'll see why Fujimoto thinks she's a worthy successor to Denji.
And we have to keep in mind, it's felt like a long time because of the much slower pace and the fact that it sometimes releases weekly and sometimes biweekly, but right now it's only just over 1/5 the size of Part 1. Look no further than where the anime has finished, and you'll find no end to anime-onlies who still don't get why we hype it up yet. Because they haven't gotten deep enough into the story to know how masterfully it's crafted. They've barely scratched the surface. Fujimoto isn't afraid to lead his audience on for a long time and then annihilate their expectations. I trust the guy.

Arguments always welcome! It’s definitely a very good opinion that the pacing and progression will feel different due to the comparison in size of the Parts. Also I binged Part 1 once it was all out - so that obviously aided the fast pace. Same as you, I trust Fujimuto!

The pacing is actually basically the same if you look at part 1 arcs and part 2 they are heading in the same direction structurally with the arcs but the story is just most focus on Asa situation and slowly reintroducing us to Denji and how he's changed.

I think some people think part 2 is slow cuz they think reading and waiting for a manga chapter week by week should feel as intense as binging 97 chapters in a pair of days at the 21 chapter of the first part we were only seeing the top of the iceberg
