Excellent reaction! I saw in one of his 'making this song" that since he was born and raised in Mississippi, the State bird is the Mockingbird, hence "I've always been a mockingbird, but now I'm a Mockingbird with a microphone" It blend perfectly in this song! Epic!
Hardy is his own style. He will do some straight up country, but also does some rock and "yallturnative". This song is the middle song on the album where it switches from country to rock. Since you like rock, id suggest you do "Sold out", "Radio song" , "Kill shit til I die" and "Jack". For his counrty id suggest "A rock", "Give heaven some hell", and "Wait in the truck". Good reaction. Do more Hardy 😀 plus his music is blowing up and will definitely get you some views and new subscribers.
Hardy is kind of a give the finger to the establishment artist. If you want to hear a real mixed up song by him listen to “Radio Song” featuring Jeremy McKinnon from Day to remember I think it would be more to your liking.
Man check out any of his capitalized song titles, RADIO SONG is a great one to keep going down his path. You’re literally his target audience 😂 all of us who grew up listening to our old man’s “classic rock” and all our musics from the mid 90s to mid 2000s. Check out any of his sit down interviews he credits every band we grew up on for all his rock inspiration
Hey, you can easily sing country, you got it 🙃. I don't listen to country music that often, but they're some good old ones. At first this song sounded just like one of the Swedish - in my opinion - boring songs we can hear on the radio everyday. But then... 🤘 a little metal makes everything sounds better! Not bad at all, agree about the guitar solo, or what we should call it 🤭😂. The sound reminds me of Smash into Pieces, a Swedish band, their 'Six Feet Under' and the latest 'The Tide' are soo good! Maybe you like their music. We have a guy who calls himself The Swedish Cowboy, he's always been country, since he was a kid. He's pretty good, sometimes he sounds like Johnny Cash. He actually sang Ace of Spades - country style. I heard it on Instagram. I think he just do it live, it's not recorded. Sometimes he hangs out with Tobias Forge and some guys from Candlemass, so I guess he's a rocker too 👍
I get it dude. I grew up in a very country family but I'm the metal head. I'm your stereotypical Texan, I just have my taste in music. I dig this song but to me it sounds like he's trying to be Kid Rock.
just a little heads up if I may? BTW as a new sub, you'll find i am a bit chatty. Sorry in advance. I have brain damage in 2 places from 2 stroke and I'll think of something I would like to say/share after already commenting.🙃😳😵💫 I'm ok! LOL! Just tell me to STFU! If you like guitar solos try these when you have time. From the song JACK: HARDY - JACK (Guitar Video ft. Rhett Smith) and HARDY - JACK (Guitar Video ft. Justin Loose)
So despite him not wanting to be the mockingbird, every single reaction from a metal head has compared him to at least 3 different bands that "sound the same." Kind of antithetical to his message. lol
Hardy would really love you, man. This reaction is one he needs to see.

Hardy does a great cover of “Blurry” from Puddle of Mudd

I agree with crowd, do “radio song” next 🤙🏻
Wow. I learned more about your life than I did about what you thought about the song.
Check out sold out

Hardy has written like 12 #1 for other artists. He said no more cause he wants to make rock. Check out “radio song”, you won’t see it coming lol.
