Being an Ori main myself, my input on this is that comet is just more damage, Aery gives you more utility for your team. Usually if Ori is leveling W first, which is the recent trend, then comet is more reliable, because you spam your W for poke, and the slow helps hitting comet too. If Ori is leveling Q first, comet becomes less reliable as it's usually not worth using W when it's not leveled. Also levelled Q has very short CD, making use of Aery the most. TL;DR: If you max Q, Aery is better. If you max W, Comet is better.

@@bestiana780 Phase Rush is overall Orianna's best Rune, no matter how you look at it. Only in some matchup is it really not that good, specifically against other high range champs that counter her. Phase Rush does 2 things: 1, either can make your escape against a sticky enemy, or 2, can give you chase potential and rush down enemies that you know you can kill or catch off. Phase Rush is advised against champs that can stick to you without problem, for just some examples: Warwick, Ekko or champs that rely on slows such as Nasus, Zilean. You usually dont take it because of the matchup on midlane, but because the enemy team is full of melees. So in short: against mainly melee teams, take Phase Rush so that you can survive easier. Otherwise a good rune for offense too.
8 AH Shard? Do you value AH more now, after it was nerfed across the board? Or do you just not value the AS Shard as much in a long range match-up like Syndra where trades don't involve much AAs anyways?

How do you feel about phase rush on orianna?
Scales well but for difficult lanes comet is the way.
I usually use it when the enemy team has a lot of engage champs (irelia, nocturne, ekko, etc.)
