I'm intrigued. It has the characteristics of a Eurorack module. An element of control, but with constantly evolving and surprising results. Moving on now to watch the video entitled 'Gecho _ Fidget Spinners = Fun'.
It's tiny, yet so large in terms of possibilities. It makes a great place to explore. One thing that i've always admired about double digit oscillators it that they're so huge they can make the most beautiful sounds. You just don't want to anger them :)
I love mine... nothing sounds like the Gecho... it's the audio meditation device of your most advanced dreams. The future comes in a wooden box. Those mics are super sensitive. The granular is super fun. Everyone should own one.
This thing is just incredible!...I have to play my electric violin through one. Also...I'm inspired to pick up another melodica. I had one about 50 years ago, around the time I played accordian. Wait a second...I also played an electric accordian..................
I have been watching this company for a while, and love the design and complexity/simplicity of this looper/sampler/synth. Although of course it seems to be even more than even all those descriptions, and totally like an invitation to explore sound. I am going to save up and order one for my birthday, to keep my Polyphonic Whale company. : ) Thanks, Bo, for this fantastic demo.
Wow... Dreamy... Also i have to thank you soooo much! That distro kid vid has given me a massive head start! So helpfull! I would be no where with out you!
I think its for using it outside to hear your suroundings in a new way. Its let you experience the sounds of nature or where else you are, in a pretty intense way. Just how you said. It's to meditate or chill out. Sorry for my language. I hope its understandable.
That's actually the main use case I had in mind. While it has potential elsewhere (even in the studio, after those few missing things will be added, like sync modes or proper midi implementation) in the further development I want to focus more on the meditative experience - think evolving soundscapes, less control from the user, more randomly generated elements and variations.
Michael Smiley .....Hey Michael . I ordered it from Gechologic many months ago and now it has finally arrived. In fact, I have the polyponic whale as well. You can try to find Gecho on Reverb.com or ebay....? Anyway ... good luck 🎼
Imagine doing a recorded ambient set the way amulets or hainbach does but with this giving out an echo of the literally ambient sounds of you interacting with the other instruments
exoterica and exotica and talk of metaphysics meeting physics, etc aside, Firmware updates are definitely in order; and mark 2 might feature a small ribbon controller. Put it through an Empress pedal??
It does look cool. I can sure see it next to a pocket operator in action. Maybe you should tryout a jam session with these small synths. That would be a fun video to see.
Nice little alien synth module. It’s almost like a mini micro pitsburg Modulator. Or a monotron x20. I’ll add this to my monotribe and volca collection for sure. That wind keyboard is a lot of fun as I only played one of in a jam last week. So easy. But through this thing you could busk till the sun goes down. 👍
I still play mine. The volca sample is easy the best volca to go with keys and bass. as for the all in one monotribe. Nothing analogue thats all in one apart from the leloop exists. Everything else is dependent on other boxes. This thing looks attractive though and a cute little wooden case. I’m Tempted. 👍
Huge noise floor on those built in mics. Sounds like it has a built in limiter/volume control, which is increasing the noise floor on quiet source material. Ergo, you should record into it louder, or better yet just bypass the mics and use the line input. Cool device, I like the minimalist box.
This is a pure soundtrack machine! So powerful in such a small box... well who needs medical treatment anyway, time to spend my money on this instead haha
I actually used it to make a soundtrack for the Kickstarter ad (with no additional editing or added effects whatsoever). But the timing / syncing it was quite hard to get right :)
cool little box ... Kind of like they took a boutique form factor ... and re-boutiqued it ... yeah I'm copyrighting that term :) Nice for portability but I would probably like something a little larger format and higher audio quality for the studio.
For me, being a total newbie to these gadgets, let's say I buy this thing and I want to record as I go, how do I do that? How do I, for example, record what I make on the go onto my computer? Or, are there ways where I can record my works onto, for example, an SD-card?
Wow now that looks very innovative design. Nice to see you share some unusual gear on the channel. Thou not sure it would be freindly for my fingers :-) Thanks Bo 👊👊
Probably not ideal for precise controls... but at least ears can connect well! :) Working on an "expansion board" with larger controls (like a docking station for the smaller board).
I’ll have to watch this a few times, I got all distracted by the melodica, I have the alto (red) version, I’ve been wanting to do something cool with it. 🙂
Bought mine and just after found out it was out of production... Big fan of Kraftwerk I always had some desire to one day own one. The VP-03 also has this string section (string ensemble) with blippity bloppity vco sounds. Now there is also a Waldorf Streichfett that does these sounds even better (think Solina Eminent). Probably my next purchase. Just for fun a great song imho, done with the REAL KRAFTWERK VOCODER!!!! ruclips.net/video/Z6iEHUHoSwA/видео.html The story behind the vocoder and more: ruclips.net/video/GebhGs_LUIU/видео.html
Have you ever messed with the granular freezer patch on the Critter and Guitari Organelle? I just wanted to see if you had any experience to compare this with.
I hear ya. It's too expensive for me to do on my channel (focused on $200 and below), or else I'd cover it. But I too have kids and it's impossible to find time AND make music! Keep up the good work mate.
Hey Bo I have been watching a lot of your videos lately. Due to the fact that I really want to get into making music and synths and etc. I’m looking for some place to start with and what I’d need to jumpstart my venture and to get everything out of it. My friends have been helping, but I find myself lost in the depth of everything that encompasses this whole experience. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks for the great videos as well!
Something like an Electribe 2, Circuit or Digitakt could be a lot of fun. Self-contained and some what easy to use. You can make ”entire songs” on them w/o anything else. I have a video coming next week that addresses this kind of question
There is an app (windows only for now) that allows configuring new patches in the scope of what is available - setting chord progression, melody and parameters (tempo, delay, lo-pass vs hi-pass, default inputs) and storing it under a new "channel" (a numeric combination you key in to start certain patch) for easy access. Not that it allows to create completely new patches though - for that you need some c++-fu :)
Looks cool, but not as cool as that melodica! 🙌🏻 .. one part is missing? I have the same melodica, and I actually picked it up yesterday! 😊 Nice vid Bo!
DrBuffaloBalls Open it up on the backside. There should be some philips screws. It should be easy enough to spot the problem. It probably needs a thorough cleaning from all the built up gunk inside. Some isoprophyl alcohol shuld do the trick, be careful though the parts could be more delicate because of wear on them, good luck
Wow. Where did this come from? Taking sounds from this and sampling them in my Digitakt seems like the perfect thing to do... ordering once it’s back in stock. Thanks for bringing us something different Bo :-)
Mr BoBeats how come you haven't gotten into the Mono Station yet with all it's CV capabilities? I'm amazed you haven't with you being a soldier for the Circuit.
I love what this does but will hold off until I see what sync options get added down the line. I see on the site that the dev has started some work on this. Although I imagine that will probably take up the line input.
seems like every ambiant music/noise music producers dream box
I just got version 2 in the mail today! It's a fantastic thing indeed.
This is divine! The water is my favorite
Thanks for this video, I doubt I would've heard of this machine without it. It sounds lovely and I'm definitely going to have to pick on up.
Ambient noise monster of note! Love how you didn't get bogged down in the technicalities and let the device speak for itself.
Thanks! My aim exactly
ooh, i gotta get one of these and run some nice brassy bladerunner esque synths through it
Thx for a very clear demo, Bo...I ordered one Gecho after watching it !
I'm intrigued. It has the characteristics of a Eurorack module. An element of control, but with constantly evolving and surprising results. Moving on now to watch the video entitled 'Gecho _ Fidget Spinners = Fun'.
This thing is exactly what I've been wanting. It's the missing piece of the kit I've been trying to put together.
"This is a 24 OSC Synthesizer" o_o Awesome!
That looks PERFECT!
Great to see a happy owner here! :)
FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT ONE ......
Boutique innovation so it seems. Awesome. Love these little home made looking devices.
This thing is just incredible!...I have to play my electric violin through one. Also...I'm inspired to pick up another melodica. I had one about 50 years ago, around the time I played accordian. Wait a second...I also played an electric accordian..................
Oh very nice. I could listen to this all day. Ordered !
Any chance you could do a full track with this - I'm finding the sound very nice for programming to !! :)
Awesome. When I saw this I was scared at how expensive it might be. But 149 euros? Wow. Very cool.
Wow.....this is a must have for anyone interested in producing PsyTrance music, getting some very psychedelic vibes from it.
You should check out the Bastl Softpop then. It's soooo cool.
Wow... Dreamy...
Also i have to thank you soooo much! That distro kid vid has given me a massive head start! So helpfull! I would be no where with out you!
Thanks man!! I am happy you let me know. This is what drives me
BoBeats no prob m8!
I love the design
GIVE US MORE!!! Damn Bo, What a good vid.
Very cool and unique little box. Thanks for sharing!
uh yeah you made a seperate video about this. it looks so great! considering to get one sometime. i love the ambient soundscapes.
I think its for using it outside to hear your suroundings in a new way. Its let you experience the sounds of nature or where else you are, in a pretty intense way. Just how you said. It's to meditate or chill out.
Sorry for my language. I hope its understandable.

amazing. that's just what I love
My Gecho arived to day....no sleep to night !
Thx Bo ! 🎼
Did you buy your Gecho recently? Where did you get it? I'm desperately trying to find one! Hope you enjoy it, I have the Glo Whale and it's AWESOME!
Michael Smiley .....Hey Michael . I ordered it from Gechologic many months ago and now it has finally arrived. In fact, I have the polyponic whale as well.
You can try to find Gecho on Reverb.com or ebay....?
Anyway ... good luck 🎼
Just lovely!
The new V2 is nearly done. think preorders go up in the next couple of months
truly a magic box. great demo! looks a bit like a japanese puzzlebox and i guess the interface is like a puzzle, too :)
Ultimate synth ever !!!
OH MY GOD BO! THIS VIDEO IS AMAZING!
I've been waiting for a video for this for so long. I saw this like a year ago and I still have no idea what it is :3
...when your cables are heavier than your synth. Lol nice vidjo Bo!
It's so cute!
Imagine doing a recorded ambient set the way amulets or hainbach does but with this giving out an echo of the literally ambient sounds of you interacting with the other instruments
i dunno what it is but dang your voice is soothing af
Will have to get myself one.
Finally! There aren’t enough hardware granular samplers on the market at the moment
It's like a music box with an entire synthesizer stuffed into it
Very cool, they've got themselves another sale!
exoterica and exotica and talk of metaphysics meeting physics, etc aside, Firmware updates are definitely in order; and mark 2 might feature a small ribbon controller. Put it through an Empress pedal??
Oh my...I think I’m in love
There are similar synth sequencer machines available but this one to me is the best choice. Peace Christo
I want one---as soon as they make it twice the size.
It does look cool. I can sure see it next to a pocket operator in action. Maybe you should tryout a jam session with these small synths. That would be a fun video to see.
Good idea!!
BoBeats yeah please do that👍🧐
Cool tiny thing! I guess this is perfect companion for MicroGranny
Pretty cool, a little Zen machine.
I'm gettin Red Means Recording vibes from this video...
Love it.
yup, I confirm that I'm going to need one, for science. :D
Nice device to throw into the bag with my OP-1.
BeAuTiFuL
That's awesome, this makes me want to make music with my melodica more.
Nice little alien synth module. It’s almost like a mini micro pitsburg Modulator. Or a monotron x20. I’ll add this to my monotribe and volca collection for sure. Jlbmixes90210 the monotribe and volca mix sounds like a great idea.

would love to have one!
Doing a giveaway soon for one :-) stay tuned
What in the living poop?!?!?!?!! Very interesting. That would be awesome with the Koma field kit.
Very cool video Bo. This unit reminds me of a small Swarmatron what with the 24 oscillators.
Huge noise floor on those built in mics. Sounds like it has a built in limiter/volume control, which is increasing the noise floor on quiet source material. Ergo, you should record into it louder, or better yet just bypass the mics and use the line input. Cool device, I like the minimalist box.
yes it is a lovely synth..am tempted...
Me too
This is a pure soundtrack machine! So powerful in such a small box... well who needs medical treatment anyway, time to spend my money on this instead haha
I actually used it to make a soundtrack for the Kickstarter ad (with no additional editing or added effects whatsoever). But the timing / syncing it was quite hard to get right :)
(check the "freedom of creation" video)
Spoken like a true American lol...
Aww now i gotta buy one of these,,,,running outa space and money,,gas big time,,,,nice one Bo..lol.
Fortunately, space wont be much of an issue with this thing. :P
Ordered 👍🧐🎵
Cool vid & funny synth :-)
Wow, so mystical and Harry Potter like 🙂 Cool...
0:15 Sounds like down with the dm.
cool little box ... Kind of like they took a boutique form factor ... and re-boutiqued it ... yeah I'm copyrighting that term :) Nice for portability but I would probably like something a little larger format and higher audio quality for the studio.

Could record onto anything handheld that records a line in audio. Then upload to your computer
Nice!
Wow now that looks very innovative design. Nice to see you share some unusual gear on the channel. Thou not sure it would be freindly for my fingers :-)
Thanks Bo 👊👊
GECHO could save you 15% on Loop Insurance! With gear this small, the question is: can the hands / eyes connect with it accurately?
Probably not ideal for precise controls... but at least ears can connect well! :) Working on an "expansion board" with larger controls (like a docking station for the smaller board).
I’ll have to watch this a few times, I got all distracted by the melodica, I have the alto (red) version, I’ve been wanting to do something cool with it. 🙂
Hey that is even smaller than my VP-03!
A little intro to my question...
Bo are you into vocoders, did you try any?
Vocoders are cool but I have really limited experience
Bought mine and just after found out it was out of production...
Big fan of Kraftwerk I always had some desire to one day own one. The VP-03 also has this string section (string ensemble) with blippity bloppity vco sounds.
Now there is also a Waldorf Streichfett that does these sounds even better (think Solina Eminent).
Probably my next purchase.
Just for fun a great song imho, done with the REAL KRAFTWERK VOCODER!!!!

The story behind the vocoder and more: ruclips.net/video/GebhGs_LUIU/видео.html
what is that other device you were using at the start of the video?
Its an old Melodica
sounds so much like the fez soundtrack
Which channels (modes) are you using in the beginning of the video?
how many patches does it have?
Seems like it would feedback like hell through a PA
Yepp. It is even stated in the manual.
A one-button press toggles the on-board mikes off, and over to line-in [or off altogether].
How much?
Have you ever messed with the granular freezer patch on the Critter and Guitari Organelle? I just wanted to see if you had any experience to compare this with.
I havn't touched it unfortunately! But maybe in the future!
I think you'd love it. Great video! I'm checking that little guy out more.
yeah I am thinking about contacting the people behind it but I need to get some other stuff of the 2DO list first
I hear ya. It's too expensive for me to do on my channel (focused on $200 and below), or else I'd cover it. But I too have kids and it's impossible to find time AND make music! Keep up the good work mate.
Whats your channel Brody? I didnt see any vids on this account
Hey Bo I have been watching a lot of your videos lately. hey , how would you activate the granular sampler ?
I've tought it has a breath controller. That would be cool!
This guy makes such controller - check it out: instagram.com/p/BniwNa6AYhX/
Do you like the arturia keystep with the circuit?
You talked about new patches being made, is there a way to import patches from a computer to the gecho loopsynth?
There is an app (windows only for now) that allows configuring new patches in the scope of what is available - setting chord progression, melody and parameters (tempo, delay, lo-pass vs hi-pass, default inputs) and storing it under a new "channel" (a numeric combination you key in to start certain patch) for easy access. Oh, that's great. Thanks for answering !
Want pls
Looks cool, but not as cool as that melodica! 🙌🏻 .. one part is missing? I have the same melodica, and I actually picked it up yesterday! 😊 Nice vid Bo!
Thanks man! The melodica is awesome
I have one of the same model from like the 80's or some shit. Either way super old and broken, wish it still worked :P
DrBuffaloBalls Can it be repaired? Mine is working fine and I’m actually planning to use it in a future video 😊
Yeah, I have the same melodica, too!
WTF? Insane! super monotron! On acid and steroids! Peace Christo 👽👽🛸🛸🎶🎶👏🏻👏🏻✌🏻✌🏻🐕🐕🕺🕺🔦🔦👍🏻👍🏻🙏🙏
Hey I like that description, can I use it in marketing? lol :D
That’s some serious delay in that unit. What is the name and make of the synth though?
Its all in the description: Gecho Loop Synth from GechoLogic.com
Wow. Where did this come from? Taking sounds from this and sampling them in my Digitakt seems like the perfect thing to do... ordering once it’s back in stock. Thanks for bringing us something different Bo :-)
Glad to provide!!
can i control it with a standard usb keyboard?
WHEN ????
Looking for a synth like this as a starter analog synth to sample, out of stock however, anyone recommend anything like this something simple
hm, maybe for a starter synth I would look at Korg Volca Keys, Monologue or Minilogue
Bo is just Mescaline around. Come back Bo. Come back.
Mr BoBeats how come you haven't gotten into the Mono Station yet with all it's CV capabilities? I'm amazed you haven't with you being a soldier for the Circuit.
I asked Novation to do some videos on it but they didn’t really follow up on it. Thats the reason. Very cool piece of kit!
The Behringer Neutron would be my Paraphonic synth of choice. Behringer keeps bringing the heat this year.
does anyone know the brand of melodica he's using?
Im pretty certain it's hohner
Can I sample this sound?
I love what this does but will hold off until I see what sync options get added down the line. I see on the site that the dev has started some work on this. Although I imagine that will probably take up the line input.
That's literally the only thing holding me back from buying one. I wonder how it would integrate with my PO-33/Kastle/SQ-1 setup.
Currently supports MIDI - just needs a connector wired to it. Details on the manufacturer's website. Awesome little device; I love mine.
Wantttttt!!!!
Whats with the fades? I thought my apple batt died :-D
He he he
Bo, JD-Xi - Snog/Marry/Avoid?
I am not a fan of the JD series. Feels very dated to me.
Thanks Bo.
Thanks again for helping me dodge a bullet there, Bo. Am trying to talk my wife into letting me buy a Mother 32. I will keep trying...
