A beautiful city on the western shores of Lake Ontario, Burlington was named the Best Place To Live in 2019 by Maclean's magazine as well as the Best Place To Raise A Family.

Burlington is a city in the Regional Municipality of Halton at the northwestern end of Lake Ontario in Ontario, Canada. Along with Milton to the north, Burlington forms the western end of the Greater Toronto Area and is also part of the Hamilton metropolitan census area.
The City of Burlington is conveniently located between Toronto and Niagara Falls, at the centre of southern Ontario’s “Golden Horseshoe.” The city boasts a population of 183,000. (2016 Census)
Nestled between two defining geographical features - the Niagara Escarpment and the northwest shores of Lake Ontario - Burlington’s total land area is 187 sq. km (73 sq. miles or 46,300 acres). While Burlington’s urban area is located mainly south of the Highway 407, its agricultural, rural residential, several golf courses and conservation areas are in the northern reaches.

Burlington is beautiful with so many amenities! They really have done a lot of home development so it’s getting crowded. Homes r in high demand driving prices up!

it is not really safe I have been into multiple violent situations in Burlington born and raised you just haven’t seen the crime your self that don’t make it safe because u don’t know what’s happening

Beautiful photo of the pier and that royal botanical garden is super amazing. Lovely bike trail too and the sceneries simply outstanding. Beer Festival sounds great and the views are just priceless. I live in the north end of Burlington. (The newer side of town). It’s filled with nice subdivisions, schools, parks and lots of amenities. A great place to raise a family. The south end of course has all the wonderful attractions you depicted. Love Burlington. A nice mid size city with a home town feel. It use to be very “Waspy” but that’s changing with more immigration.

On a musical note, Burlington is the original home of the World renowned Burlington Teen Tour Band, Sound of Music Festival & Internation Opera Diva Adrienne Pieczonka. One reason not to love Burlington is getting caught in traffic on the Burlington Bay James N Allan Skyway Bridge. LOL

Burlington is overrated. I used to be proud to call it my home and birthplace. I'm leaving and can't wait to be gone! Busy, loud, and lacking character. It's losing its identity quickly with all the new development. Its a shame.
