She has been caught lying many times before and has changed her story several times, how can anyone believe anything she says. I don't justify Manuela, but by the time she started a relationship with Prince, he and Mayte were beyond reconcile. Those two had deep marital problems that Mayte failed to mention in her book, she blames everyone but herself for her failed marriage. What happened between those two must have been severe because he had nothing to do with her for almost 20 years. Before his death he was suing Mayte for the return of his property and was trying to stop her from publishing her book. Those are not the actions of a man that loved his ex wife as many believe, and Mayte's actions prove she didn't love him either. She spoke ill of him in Hollywood exes, never returned his property and she published their personal life, the one thing Prince always tried to protect. And now, she's using his image to make money, she can't make a living out of her own merits without using Prince.

I love Prince, but he made it sound as if things were fine between him and Mayte. During the time this interview took place, he was already separated from Mayte and he had gotten their marriage annulled. He sent her to Spain and Manuela moved in with him, a couple of months later he was divorced. It must be real hard to pretend in front of everyone that everything is OK in your life, but I guess we all do that at one time or another.
Lilia Cantu I mean dude pretended on Oprah that life was fine right after losing his child .... if he can pretend after a death, a romance being over is nothing... and you're right about it all. He was done with mayte...
And what makes you think Mayte's book is a reliable source of information? She has been caught lying many times before and has changed her story several times, how can anyone believe anything she says. I don't justify Manuela, but by the time she started a relationship with Prince, he and Mayte were beyond reconcile. Those two had deep marital problems that Mayte failed to mention in her book, she blames everyone but herself for her failed marriage. What happened between those two must have been severe because he had nothing to do with her for almost 20 years. Before his death he was suing Mayte for the return of his property and was trying to stop her from publishing her book. Those are not the actions of a man that loved his ex wife as many believe, and Mayte's actions prove she didn't love him either. She spoke ill of him in Hollywood exes, never returned his property and she published their personal life, the one thing Prince always tried to protect. And now, she's using his image to make money, she can't make a living out of her own merits without using Prince.

I never knew that he even appeared on this show at that time cuz abc nor the media never promoted it and now I see it almost 20 years later and I bought rave unto the joy fantastic albums as well as others throughout his career on its first day of release.....
I called into work just to see this interview back then... Watching it now makes me nostalgic and served as a reminder to me. 💜

While Wife was in another country. Did he keep his vows? Nope. Is he being honest during the interview? Nope. Did he die alone? Yep. I love Prince but he sucked at relationships. Common problem for musicians. He wasn't faithful to anyone. It is what it is. He promised to love, honor and cherish his wife, be faithful... till death do us part. He remarried and she did not. She is still unmarried by choice. He is now passed. So did he keep his Values? Nope.

Ya know how when a chick breaks up with a guy, one of the first way she disses him is to attack his prowess in the bedroom?
