This was amazing... I have those boxes and brown paper and I was looking for an easier way to do the cubes... THANK YOU... I was on you FB page, but didn't see any decisions with the"Trolls" movie theme... My daughter just told me today this is what she wants... So I'm starting to look around for ideas, decisions, costumes etc...
Lisy Olivo Glad you liked the video and I saw you followed my page! Glad to see you there. You’re always welcome to ask any questions by messaging me on Facebook. Another great place to search for ideas is Pinterest and sometime even Etsy! Thanks for the view, I hope you will subscribe to my RUclips channel!
I haven’t made one larger than 12” however you could! Basically the smaller squares are approx 1/3. So 1/3 of 12” is 4, (I cut them a little bit smaller to allow the look of the “seam”so if you had an 18” box, make the squares 6”. If that doesn’t make sense let me know and I’ll try to reword it. Hope that helps :)
Unfortunately I didn’t make a list to reference but my video does talk about what you need and sizing to make a 12” cube :) you’re always welcome to message me when n my Facebook page and I can try to describe it better to you. My link is in my bio and video description 😘
Feel free to contact me on Facebook here m.facebook.com/CarisCreationsEventandHomeDecor/ I take orders from there if you asking for help via me assembling some for you :)
Of course you can size down :) So for example this tutorial shows a 12” box. If you wanted to make an 8” box cut 8x8 squares, and the smaller squares I’d suggest cutting at just over 2.5”. See if that works and hope that makes sense :)
Is there a way to make this a wearable as a head? I have a character that has a Rubik's cube head and I'd love to dress as her for halloween or something!
Emily Marie I am so very sorry! I am just realizing I missed your comment! I would imagine you could cut eyes and bottom out to make a hat/head. But I would practice on a box before you decorate it :)
If you are making the box at the size in the video (12” box) you would use a 12”x12” base layer in black and the small squares would be 3.75” x 3.75” each
Good morning! If you don’t want to make the boxes yes I do offer making the panels and ship them! It’s much less expensive for you to get your boxes locally than to have me ship those. If interested in having me assemble the panels we can chat more by sending a message to my Facebook business page at m.facebook.com/CarisCreationsEventandHomeDecor/
@@latoshiatravis6610 feel free to follow my page as well! Lots of inspiration and you can see all I do on a daily :) looking forward to helping your vision come to fruition 😘
Hi there I think I spoke to you on my Facebook page :) but just in case you’re someone else this video shows instructions for a 12” cube. The 9 squares to go over top are 3.75” and that allows a little bit of space between each square :) hope that helps answer your question.
Hello there I’d be happy to write it out. For each set making one rubix cube you will need: A paper cutter Adhesive (I suggest to use either tape runner or two sided adhesive squares) 5 sheets of Black cardstock (for this tutorial I used 12x12 paper) Cardstock in red, white, green, blue, yellow, and orange Cut into 3.75x3.75 squares (cut approx 8 of each color) you need a total of 45 smaller squares for this project. Foam squares 12x12x12 sized cardboard box taped closed That’s it :) the tutorial will show you at each step when to use them 😘 Hope that helps
Hello Julia. In this tutorial I used 12”x12”x12” boxes. You can Alabama modify the cuts if you want smaller boxes used but in this specific one it was 12” :)
Michael Manuel I have learned for those who would know rubix cube layout, I guess there is a particular pattern! I guess for the nonrealizing gal like me I thought it didn’t matter. Sorry about that.
It’s meant to be used as a decoration for a party or backdrop. Sorry if you thought it was a moveable or functioning cube. It’s meant to be as a decoration/craft
@@gettingcraftywithcari949 please don't be sorry...I had to buy larger paper and cut it down...then after using double sided table and a glue stick, old-fashioned Elmer's Glue did the trick.
