quick recap of jay’s career: • born in seattle and was part of a dance crew called Art of Movement (AOM) • went to korea, signed under JYP as a trainee, debuted as leader of 2nd gen kpop group, 2PM. • later would step down and leave the group due to a misinformation scandal that tarnished his reputation within the kpop industry. • continued to make music and then founded his first label, AOMG. • after great success within the k-hiphop and k-rnb scene, jay park would sign under Roc Nation (yes, as in Jay-Z’ label) in 2017, making him the first ever asian-american to be signed under RN. • he would also open another label, H1ghr Music, that same year with his long-time friend and producer, Cha Cha Malone • over the years he would continue to grind out his career through the business side and talent side with a notable reputation for success and an all around great artist and person through the eyes of his fans and supporters as well as his seniors (finally giving him his credit). • around new year’s, with the release of his song “To Life”, also would come his announcement that would shock everyone. he officially stepped down as CEO of both AOMG and H1ghr Music and stated he would continue to remain as an advisor to both label while of course still being the founder and owner as well. • now we are here in 2022, officially launching his soju brand, Won Soju, and also launching his 3rd label now, More Vision, which of course makes “GANADARA” ft. IU his first release under the new brand. this is a very rough timeline of how someone defied the odds and norms of what was thought possible at the time within the korean entertainment and music industry. what is not listed, but definitely better if you who are interested in his story to do more research on your own time, is the process of what would not just become the making of success for Jay Park, but also an amazingly talented, supportive, and ever growing family of fellow artists. Jay Park, a legend💯
@@infinitelocke of course my guy! still sooo much to this man’s life to say, but i would end up writing a whole encyclopedia lol. this dude really lost everything in korea and bounced back through posting covers online while working at a garage back in seattle, only to go back to korea and the rest is history. even if some kpop stans don’t wanna admit it, he is a lot of idols’ idol, absolute legend
My talented king jay i mean he's a bboy a rapper a singer an entrepreneur a CEO and hamble as fuck with people around him all his back up dancers are with him for 13 years now❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I will forever respect Jay for that freestyle. That was his manifesto and whatever people say about his controversies if you come back to this you know he means well. He just talks too damn much😁 but otherwise, he's a good dude with a lot of talent.
I love Jay, he’s such a talented & honest guy. He does a lot of rnb, pop & rap, & the man can dance. He owns 3 labels, stepped down as ceo from 2 of them, & just launched his own soju brand this year. He has lots of bops so if you could check out more of his music that would be awesome. Pls react to “Me like yuh” mv and “All I wanna do ft hoody & loco” mv!
Sooooo glad you reacted to this this is one of my fav video it really showcase his versatility and he performs some of my fav music ! He indeed got vocals lol he started off as a bboy and always liked rap but he got super famous for his singing skills, most of his rnb songs are where his bag come from they’re super super popular anytime he releases an rnb tracks it hits off the charts. He did rap way later and wasn’t really respected for it at first, that’s why he stocked for a while to rap I guess to impose himself and that’s what he did since now it’s the opposite a lot of people knows him from his rap lol. For what you talked about the start of the video keep in mind that a lot of people made a lot of false accusations and a lot of stuff where twisted according their own narrative so…
Not only is he a talented rapper, singer and dancer but he is also a savvy businessman, not only does he own the 2 biggest Khiphop/KR&B labels in Korea AOMG & H1ghr Music ( H1ghr has both Korean & American artists)but he also just opened a third label MoreVision and he recently had an exceptionally successful launch of his own brand of Soju ( a very popular Korean alcohol) called Won Soju manufactured at a company he owns, Won Spirits, he is well respected and loved by Korean hiphop artists, he's had some controversies but everybody screws up but I genuinely feel he is a the kind, generous and down to earth person which is why I'm a big fan of his.
He was owner of H1GHR MUSIC Label and also Roc Nation artist. You should be check the Jay Park's H1GHR MUSIC songs. H1GHR MUSIC- Cypher, How we rock, The purge
I love Jay Park I got into after I got into Rain who you should also check out. Jay can definitely be problematic however his music is amazing. Plus he's American so there's always that slight arrogance with us. Also he's the oy Asian artist signed to Roc nation
@@infinitelocke absolutely. He's an excellent performer and even more important is that he always looks out for his people. That's why he's respected as he is by other idols.
