Been studying singing for 4 years and I still can’t comprehend how agencies can’t afford good teachers 💀 they just don’t care, even going to a vocal lesson once a week is enough
Unfortunately, singing is the one skill that's "acceptable" to hide. Pitch correction, lip syncing etc. That, and having a gruelling schedule can't be healthy for the voice.

I think the folks making the shorts have agendas and also want to engagement farm by ragebaiting Carats. DK and Seungkwan just released an album full of ballads showcasing their technical prowess and there are a ton of live performances of those songs. In South Korea and greater Asia, they're known as technically strong vocalists. Seungkwan also just sang on Tiny Desk and the viewers who didn't know Seventeen but saw the performance were impressed. Agree that it would be great if they got more global recognition.
Xiaojun is criminally underrated for his vocals (even more so for his dance and visuals, truly an ace idol). He has a wide variety of techniques and incredible control over his voice, but he definitely has room for improvement in terms of his stability and projection in his lower register. I think he could push to 5 very easily in the future.
Yes I was happy with where he ranked though I agree he could be bumped to 5A. He really has a lot of skill and talent. I think back to his performance in WayV’s Blame it on my Youth and its heartbreaking beauty.

Lee hong ki, max, uknow, Junsu, Jaejoong, ryewook, yesung, Kyunhyun, Lee Jaejin, Onew, Jonghyun and Hweseung are missing so they have to be level 8 or 10.
@Lupita311Max is on the same level, not higher, Uknow, Junsu and JaeJoong aren't Dimash, so they don't surpass Chen. KRY are top vocalist, but an 8-9-10 level? That's operatic level Pavarotti, no one you mentioned can touch that lane
Thank you once again for reminding everyone of Luna's existence. She's still my favorite K-Pop vocalist among the women, and I'm still so sad how dirty she was made by both her company and the public. f(x) in general deserved better, but the fact even people who usually like SM groups forget about her or call her mediocre sometimes...
F/x deserved a million times better. Every single member was robbed in some way 😢 They are SM's 'mistake' that they always try to sweep under the rug, but they are the reason we have a lot of experimental music in Kpop. It's always the groups that try being bold and different that get pushed to a side by companies rather than being supported and believed in.

Im sure this channel already discussed him somewhere. IMO Jonghyun is overrated. He had a powerful voice, but little variation in tone and live he was often off key.

they are not that far from each other technically speaking. Lily is often commended because she is given more high notes, which she can sing really well. Haewon on the glides midbelts with amazing dynamics and not to mention, her tone is easier on the ears.
the tier with rose, seungmin and liz was so accurate because I’ve always been associating those three as the same flavour of vocalist for awhile now lol 😭 great kpop main vocals with pleasant distinctive tones and a good grasp on the basics of technique but not super standout singers in the grand scheme of things. You picked really good examples for that tier because I totally got what you were saying with it 👏👏👏
I felt that with all levels of tier 4 actually! I was confused a bit with NingNing's placement but then those who were chosen for 4C were showcased and then it definitely make sense comparatively. Especially with Seungmin and Liz, but even recent Rose made me happy realize that yeah, they're in a similar vein! So interesting
I think Solar and Wendy missing is strange, but they are probably (in their prime) both level 6s. He did a video stating that Solar has dramatically improved since her musical showcase. He also did a video a few years ago noting that Taeyeon and Wendy are on a similar vocal level but for different reasons.
@SMTLLthey probably wouldn’t be anymore, they all seem to have been a little overestimated and had some slight regressions, theyre not a bad vocalist but she’s not an “amazing” one either rn and there’s a clear technical gap between those 3 and Baekyhun.

@PurplePaisley1292 She had to go on hiatus bc she had a hole in her lung. If she would have continued her normal idol lifestyle Rami would have ended up with a collapsed lung. (It’s not permanent but it was dangerous bc of air leaking out of the lung)
doyoung immensely improved over the past years especially when he went solo and also had his musicals. the difference between his roles in marie antoinette and tmwl is incredible, i’m soooo proud of him. he always works hard to improve and it clearly translates to where he is today. people should experience his concerts live or musicals at least once. hoping they’ll release tmwl online soon.
i'm so glad u made this video because i have many idols from the low-tier level that i love and some vocalists from high-tier who I'm not too big of a fan of. Vocal skills are such a touchy topic in kpop that it doesn't even feel like an actual thing anymore. Some fans always use it to drag idols they just have beef with for some reason without actual knowledge of vocals. Like 'lipsyncing = doesn't know how to sing' or 'singing high notes = best vocalist' when there's so much more to vocal techniques than just the surface
real sht!! i am especially annoyed with "highest notes = best singer", it's the most egregious example of not understanding even the fundamentals of how singing works.

Agreed and also because of the multi skill nature of Kpop and how vocals get utilized, there are a lot of idols I love, mostly rappers, in the 2A-B range that are not highly skilled, but whatever they have to offer is used effectively and fits the role so their limitations aren’t that big of a deal. I’m OK if a rapper in a group is just competent enough because they tend to get small parts which they can do justice to. I have the rap line of NCT Dream, excluding Mark, in mind. Jaemin, Jeno and Jisung have some very effective vocal moments in songs though even as a fan I would never suggest that any of them are beyond a 2, very similar to Felix.
yeah exactly like some of the low tier vocalists i still like their vocals for their tone or color, especially within the context of their group (like red velvet as a group, maybe not each one of them are the strongest vocally individually, but their voices each bring something so unique to the songs they sing together on that i really enjoy!)
Joy's really average, only around Karina's level. I'd say even Tiffany let alone Seohyun are above her as fellow subvocals in their group. One high note on Umpah Umpah/Cosmic and she couldn't recreate it live at all.
absolutely, I feel like in tv5xq days Jaejoong was the by far more frequent "lead" of a given song, Changmin outshone just about everyone when a song actually used him properly, but Junsu was crucial in "gluing" the vocals of everyone together, he's extremely versatile with his range and technique and has kept that versatility over the years.
zhang hao, haewon and keeho is a technique-based grouping that makes so much sense even if you're not that familiar with the technical stuff! and ofc listening to level 7 is basically ascending
Yes! I was a bit surprised actually with Zhang Hao over Taerae but I can definitely see what they meant. So this grouping as well as the 4A grouping of Liz, Rose and Seungmin makes lots of sense to me. You would think of these trios in the same vein! So that was indeed pretty cool

8:15 Heeseung is my favourite vocalist out of male idols and I just KNOW that if he was in a company like SM or idk just ANY company which prioritizes vocal lessons, his vocals would have improved a lot. I still love his vocal tone and he makes his parts in songs so addictive. On a good day, his vocals are so good that I think that i underestimate him. But it's just a matter of inconsistency. BUT it doesn't mean I would not like to know how higher he can go with the correct guidance.

Many of such cases tbh. Even for an amazing vocalist like Jung Eunji, i believe her voice sounds so much better singing non-kpop songs. But it also shows versatility of what these kpop vocalists can do.
im honestly so proud of groups like babymonster, nmixx, zb1 having amazing vocal improvement and skills while also being young in the industry(also in general lol)
@taeraesplanet999d Hao and Taerae are the main vocalists for a reason and are undoubtedly the most skilled in the group vocally, but do you really have to downplay the rest of the members? They have arguably the strongest vocal line in 5th gen, with Hanbin and Gunwook being on par with a lot of other groups’ main vocals, and the rest of the members out singing many other group’s lead vocals. Your tone implies that the rest of the members don’t contribute much to the group when this couldn’t be further from the truth. There are so many groups for which you could validly claim that 1 or 2 members carry skill-wise, but ZB1 really is not one of them.
Same! And KRY, Yoojoo and so many others! I didn't watch all the way through because of this, but from just the pictures I'm definitely missing Eunkwang, Youngjae, Taeyeon, DBSK and the girls you mentioned, especially Wendy, who always amazes me with how powerfull her voice is.
Fun video! Everyone has to remeber that the skills we can judge is the one the companies let us take part of. Some groups and companies got hidden gems we might miss out on. A idol like chaewon or winter in aespa might be more skilled right now than we know about. But the companies choose to release songs that isn't vocally challenging enough the past year. I for one hope a group like Aespa will release something new that require more skill for the girls! Because they can sing, they just need a opportunity.
It doesn't work with Chaewon though, we all know none of Le Sserafim can sing. even the president of South Korea himself said they embarrass the country abroad

Yunji was an opera singer and the fact they don’t use that skill on her for a pontentiall main vocalist it’s wild and Chaewon was on Izone in which everyone singing so high pitched cause that’s how all songs were, she was one of the main vocalist along side Eunbi, Jo-Yuri and Yena I guess I don’t remember but I remember her hitting high notes very often and controlled , just saying this as a bonus extra information , I agree with the ranking it’s just sad that some idols really were doing so much better before becoming and idol If you know what I mean 🧍🏽🧍🏽🧍🏽 or even did better in other groups

ZHANG HAO is literally one of the best vocalist of 5th gen....having unique tone and wide vocal range.....this guy know very well..how to execute his vocal account to songs genre....his vocal control are insane.....having stable vocal with intense choreo..
I would argue that your level division can be uneven, especially during first tiers and very last ones. 1. Level 1 should be divided into sub-tiers: There r idols who r closer to tone-deafness, consistently struggle with the most basic concepts like tones, pitch, tempo like Sakura, Shuhua,...(1A), and then there r idols whose basic skills r quite like a gamble like Momo, and then there r idols who show somewhat acceptable capabilities of the most basic singing concepts but lacked abilities to do anything more than basic like Sana, Wonyoung (1C) 2. The examples u used for 2A and 2B r way too different in skills. People like Tzuyu and Lisa r way too instinctive in their singing. They showed decent intonation, okay breathing but underwhelming development, musicality and range to execute anything more than basic. But people like Yeji and Chaewon showed far better understandings in these basics and with much better development, muscality, allowing them to execute much more challenging parts even when their executions can be flawed. Placing these in the same tier seem unfair. I would honestly place Tzuyu and Lisa in 1C and call this sub tier Singing class students. 3. Meanwhile, the examples used in the upper tiers (6-7) r way too CLOSE in skills to be in separate tiers. I would call Taeyeon 6A and Ailee Luna 6B. And save tier 7 for the actual legends like Son Seungyeon and Sohyang

I believe there should be more singers in Level 7 like Baekhyun from Exo, Jonghyun and Onew from Shinee, Max from TVXQ and many more second and third gen artist that still rock and evolve till today ❤ Taemin is a great example how you can start from level 1 and work your way to a strong vocalist as well in time, best vocal progress in kpop history for me.

Perhaps this is the core diff in cultural tastes. I ❤ EXO vocals not because they are kpop. But the versatility as individuals & grp they bring. Whether in korean, english or even spanish. Hwasa vocals is probably the only other Korean artist i would listen as opposed to watch.
I think Baekhyun and D.O are level 6. As much as they are well-rounded they have noticeable gaps in their technique. Baekhyun's belting technique is the most inconsistent out of the main vocalist line to be ranked higher. D.O's upper register is not developed and his belting and vocal agility generally greatly eclipse the skills in his upper register. They have what it takes to be level 7 but they cannot match the consistency and well-roundedness of the vocalists in level 7 mentioned here.
I love this video and I know you said you can’t include all the vocalist but Pentagon, Shinee, and Btob have really impressive vocalists that are in level 6 and higher categories. ❤
Onew sang "Nessun Dorma" and I guess that was impressing. You have to be skilled and talented but it needs a lot of education. That is way above Pop. He sureley was not mentioned as often as Jonghyun cause this guy was a pro in emotion and voice cracks. Maybe Onew is a bit too perfect for this KPop World. But him singing Nessun Dorma made me cry in an instant. The first notes hit me cause he got me.
You can see SM vocal qualities just by listening that their sub vocalists are technically better than many lead or even main vocalist of any other labels.

Bro i lowkey think many zerose will agree that though zb1 songs are good it doesnt showcase their abilities enough. I saw in reddit about their Run run cover having a lot of views bc its in their vocal range, every member could shined w the right parts and so people including me (been obsessed since it came out n i finally understood why..) genuinly go back to rewatch it cause we love it so much. Also zb1 songs are sooo high when their lower legisters are so beautiful. doyoung was always great but ever since he started doing solo music he's truly improved and become more confident. i'm so proud of him. i feel like he doesn't get praised by nctzens and non fans enough ( the former because of solo fans and arguing ...) but i wish more people knew how great he is. i also love clips of doyoung doing his two musicals. i would love for you to check out his recent encore that came out a few days ago from his last tour, or some of his tour performances.
I don't vehemently disagree with the rankings, but it's when people turn vocal struggles into a moral failing on the part of the idols that I get angry. Idols are for the most part micromanaged to the nth degree - if they don't get vocal training or the opportunity to develop their voice, it's because some executive has decided that it's more important that they film 97 Tiktok challenges, share the content of their bags, do this or that advert, do even more exercise on insufficient calories to look a certain way, and dance as well as possible. Of course not everyone's going to be Ailee, but it's also no disgrace to only be able to dance well - that's not exactly easy either. And then we have the choice of song too - again a choice made by some executive - which will often favour some members at the expense of others, and the obsession with high notes at the expense of having some dynamic range and using different voices for different parts and a different feel. "Ooh they can hit an F#5!" So can I if you electrocute me in the gentleman vegetables. It still won't sound that good.
Agreed. Some people honestly cannot improve their singing beyond a certain point, either 🥲 and with the average age of idols continuing to get lower, there's no way to expect these kids to all have developed voices.
very happy with Zhanghao and zb1 as a group, it's very nice to have a very popular and vocally dominant MALE group in newer generations. i dont stan them but their performances are always extremely enjoyable
Not the group, only Taerae and Zhang Hao. Listen to that one stage of Out Of Love, Gyuvin and Jiwoong were trying to chase the beat but failed miserably, it was very unlistenable, Zhang Hao developed backpain afterwards from carrying the entire song on his back
I’m not a carat but i have a friends who are super fan so I casually see updates about seventeen and I really gave them focus when DK and Seungkwan realease their latest song. I love it, i love their vocals!
I mostly agree with this ranking Chen & Ailee are beasts , Sungkwan Doyong are soo talented , but I believe level 5 are my favourite I will always enjoy listening to Lily and DK ❤
As much attention as Karina gets for seemingly everything else, I find her vocals to be underrated. For one who is considered a sub-vocal in their group, I really think she holds her own. And I know you don't have as much time these days for videos, but I also second another video or short that lists some other examples of vocalists in each tier!
That is cuz most idols don’t even get proper vocal training.. they mostly get restricted, remain at the K-pop level; so for actual passionate singers in the industry that is really sad, SM at least seems not to be doing that

Singing doesn't matter, it's the plastic surgeries that's most important, as long as Kpop idols have plastic surgeries, the fans will eat it up
They just need 1 popular member like YoonA, Suzy, etc to push the whole group. So if it's due to visual/acting, that's that.
Unfortunately, singing is the one skill that's "acceptable" to hide. Pitch correction, lip syncing etc. That, and having a gruelling schedule can't be healthy for the voice.

I think the folks making the shorts have agendas and also want to engagement farm by ragebaiting Carats. DK and Seungkwan just released an album full of ballads showcasing their technical prowess and there are a ton of live performances of those songs. In South Korea and greater Asia, they're known as technically strong vocalists. Seungkwan also just sang on Tiny Desk and the viewers who didn't know Seventeen but saw the performance were impressed. Agree that it would be great if they got more global recognition.
Especially because they‘re not only amazing singers but because seventeen has many harder dances they can also dance pretty well
Xiaojun is criminally underrated for his vocals (even more so for his dance and visuals, truly an ace idol). He has a wide variety of techniques and incredible control over his voice, but he definitely has room for improvement in terms of his stability and projection in his lower register. I think he could push to 5 very easily in the future.

F/x deserved a million times better. Every single member was robbed in some way 😢 They are SM's 'mistake' that they always try to sweep under the rug, but they are the reason we have a lot of experimental music in Kpop. Haewon's vocals compared to lily are very underated. I personally like her voice
they are not that far from each other technically speaking. Lily is often commended because she is given more high notes, which she can sing really well. Haewon on the glides midbelts with amazing dynamics and not to mention, her tone is easier on the ears.
dont get me wrong, i love lily and she is great, but haewons voice is genuinly so beautiful and she is able to really put me in awe when she sings
I like Haewon's vocal tone more, it sounds so pleasing.
All of Nmixx is close to one another in terms of vocals imo. Even their "weaker" members vocal wise sound amazing when given the spotlight.
the tier with rose, seungmin and liz was so accurate because I’ve always been associating those three as the same flavour of vocalist for awhile now lol 😭 great kpop main vocals with pleasant distinctive tones and a good grasp on the basics of technique but not super standout singers in the grand scheme of things. I felt that with all levels of tier 4 actually! I was confused a bit with NingNing's placement but then those who were chosen for 4C were showcased and then it definitely make sense comparatively. Especially with Seungmin and Liz, but even recent Rose made me happy realize that yeah, they're in a similar vein! So interesting

I think Solar and Wendy missing is strange, but they are probably (in their prime) both level 6s. He did a video stating that Solar has dramatically improved since her musical showcase. He also did a video a few years ago noting that Taeyeon and Wendy are on a similar vocal level but for different reasons.

doyoung immensely improved over the past years especially when he went solo and also had his musicals. the difference between his roles in marie antoinette and tmwl is incredible, i’m soooo proud of him. he always works hard to improve and it clearly translates to where he is today. people should experience his concerts live or musicals at least once. hoping they’ll release tmwl online soon.

i'm so glad u made this video because i have many idols from the low-tier level that i love and some vocalists from high-tier who I'm not too big of a fan of. Vocal skills are such a touchy topic in kpop that it doesn't even feel like an actual thing anymore. Some fans always use it to drag idols they just have beef with for some reason without actual knowledge of vocals. Like 'lipsyncing = doesn't know how to sing' or 'singing high notes = best vocalist' when there's so much more to vocal techniques than just the surface
real sht!! i am especially annoyed with "highest notes = best singer", it's the most egregious example of not understanding even the fundamentals of how singing works.

Agreed and also because of the multi skill nature of Kpop and how vocals get utilized, there are a lot of idols I love, mostly rappers, in the 2A-B range that are not highly skilled, but whatever they have to offer is used effectively and fits the role so their limitations aren’t that big of a deal. I’m OK if a rapper in a group is just competent enough because they tend to get small parts which they can do justice to. I have the rap line of NCT Dream, excluding Mark, in mind. Jaemin, Jeno and Jisung have some very effective vocal moments in songs though even as a fan I would never suggest that any of them are beyond a 2, very similar to Felix.
yeah exactly like some of the low tier vocalists i still like their vocals for their tone or color, especially within the context of their group (like red velvet as a group, maybe not each one of them are the strongest vocally individually, but their voices each bring something so unique to the songs they sing together on that i really enjoy!)

In older generation of kpop, I would mention Xiah Junsu(Former TVXQ) as one of the best vocalists
absolutely, I feel like in tv5xq days Jaejoong was the by far more frequent "lead" of a given song, Changmin outshone just about everyone when a song actually used him properly, but Junsu was crucial in "gluing" the vocals of everyone together, he's extremely versatile with his range and technique and has kept that versatility over the years.

8:15 Heeseung is my favourite vocalist out of male idols and I just KNOW that if he was in a company like SM or idk just ANY company which prioritizes vocal lessons, his vocals would have improved a lot. I still love his vocal tone and he makes his parts in songs so addictive. On a good day, his vocals are so good that I think that i underestimate him. But it's just a matter of inconsistency. BUT it doesn't mean I would not like to know how higher he can go with the correct guidance.

Zhang Hao's and Taerae's skills are the ones carrying the group, the rest are far below
@taeraesplanet999d Hao and Taerae are the main vocalists for a reason and are undoubtedly the most skilled in the group vocally, but do you really have to downplay the rest of the members? They have arguably the strongest vocal line in 5th gen, with Hanbin and Gunwook being on par with a lot of other groups’ main vocals, and the rest of the members out singing many other group’s lead vocals. Your tone implies that the rest of the members don’t contribute much to the group when this couldn’t be further from the truth. There are so many groups for which you could validly claim that 1 or 2 members carry skill-wise, but ZB1 really is not one of them.

Fun video! Everyone has to remeber that the skills we can judge is the one the companies let us take part of. Some groups and companies got hidden gems we might miss out on. A idol like chaewon or winter in aespa might be more skilled right now than we know about. But the companies choose to release songs that isn't vocally challenging enough the past year. I for one hope a group like Aespa will release something new that require more skill for the girls! Because they can sing, they just need a opportunity.

Yunji was an opera singer and the fact they don’t use that skill on her for a pontentiall main vocalist it’s wild and Chaewon was on Izone in which everyone singing so high pitched cause that’s how all songs were, she was one of the main vocalist along side Eunbi, Jo-Yuri and Yena I guess I don’t remember but I remember her hitting high notes very often and controlled , just saying this as a bonus extra information , I agree with the ranking it’s just sad that some idols really were doing so much better before becoming and idol If you know what I mean 🧍🏽🧍🏽🧍🏽 or even did better in other groups

Level 1 should be divided into sub-tiers: There r idols who r closer to tone-deafness, consistently struggle with the most basic concepts like tones, pitch, tempo like Sakura, Shuhua,...(1A), and then there r idols whose basic skills r quite like a gamble like Momo, and then there r idols who show somewhat acceptable capabilities of the most basic singing concepts but lacked abilities to do anything more than basic like Sana, Wonyoung (1C)
2. The examples u used for 2A and 2B r way too different in skills. People like Tzuyu and Lisa r way too instinctive in their singing. They showed decent intonation, okay breathing but underwhelming development, musicality and range to execute anything more than basic. But people like Yeji and Chaewon showed far better understandings in these basics and with much better development, muscality, allowing them to execute much more challenging parts even when their executions can be flawed. Placing these in the same tier seem unfair. I would honestly place Tzuyu and Lisa in 1C and call this sub tier Singing class students.
3. Meanwhile, the examples used in the upper tiers (6-7) r way too CLOSE in skills to be in separate tiers. I would call Taeyeon 6A and Ailee Luna 6B. And save tier 7 for the actual legends like Son Seungyeon and Sohyang
But honestly, very entertaining, interesting video. I love this! And this would be a really good format and hope u use this more when analyzing different vocalists

@NightmarePikachu well there is still idols better than (current) luna and chen in t7 like kyuhyun, lina, ryeowook, hyolyn but they arent as good as naul, jung dongha, park hyo shin, sohyang, son seungyeon etc. also alot of these idols have regressed technically, ailee massively, shes like T5 nowadays, and wendy hugely regressed, taeyeon slightly and luna also

I believe there should be more singers in Level 7 like Baekhyun from Exo, Jonghyun and Onew from Shinee, Max from TVXQ and many more second and third gen artist that still rock and evolve till today ❤ Taemin is a great example how you can start from level 1 and work your way to a strong vocalist as well in time, best vocal progress in kpop history for me.
Baekhyun would prolly be somewhere in level 6
Max is not (and never was close) to the level of the main vocalists of the old TVXQ (Junsu and Jaejoong), so he wouldn't be at level 7 or 6.

I think Baekhyun and D.O are level 6. As much as they are well-rounded they have noticeable gaps in their technique. Baekhyun's belting technique is the most inconsistent out of the main vocalist line to be ranked higher. D.O's upper register is not developed and his belting and vocal agility generally greatly eclipse the skills in his upper register. They have what it takes to be level 7 but they cannot match the consistency and well-roundedness of the vocalists in level 7 mentioned here.
I love this video and I know you said you can’t include all the vocalist but Pentagon, Shinee, and Btob have really impressive vocalists that are in level 6 and higher categories. ❤

Onew sang "Nessun Dorma" and I guess that was impressing. You have to be skilled and talented but it needs a lot of education. That is way above Pop. He sureley was not mentioned as often as Jonghyun cause this guy was a pro in emotion and voice cracks. Maybe Onew is a bit too perfect for this KPop World. But him singing Nessun Dorma made me cry in an instant. The first notes hit me cause he got me.

doyoung was always great but ever since he started doing solo music he's truly improved and become more confident. i'm so proud of him. i feel like he doesn't get praised by nctzens and non fans enough ( the former because of solo fans and arguing ...) but i wish more people knew how great he is. i also love clips of doyoung doing his two musicals.

I don't vehemently disagree with the rankings, but it's when people turn vocal struggles into a moral failing on the part of the idols that I get angry. Idols are for the most part micromanaged to the nth degree - if they don't get vocal training or the opportunity to develop their voice, it's because some executive has decided that it's more important that they film 97 Tiktok challenges, share the content of their bags, do this or that advert, do even more exercise on insufficient calories to look a certain way, and dance as well as possible.
Of course not everyone's going to be Ailee, but it's also no disgrace to only be able to dance well - that's not exactly easy either.
And then we have the choice of song too - again a choice made by some executive - which will often favour some members at the expense of others, and the obsession with high notes at the expense of having some dynamic range and using different voices for different parts and a different feel. "Ooh they can hit an F#5!" So can I if you electrocute me in the gentleman vegetables. It still won't sound that good.

Not the group, only Taerae and Zhang Hao. Listen to that one stage of Out Of Love, Gyuvin and Jiwoong were trying to chase the beat but failed miserably, it was very unlistenable, Zhang Hao developed backpain afterwards from carrying the entire song on his back

As much attention as Karina gets for seemingly everything else, I find her vocals to be underrated. For one who is considered a sub-vocal in their group, I really think she holds her own.

The video has male and female idols in all the levels throughout, but I do find it strange how the thumbnail has only women as the lower levels, while men occupy the higher ones. Probably just a coincidence, but I think it is strange looking.
