Deutsche Bank downgrades Tesla stock, analyst says robotaxi move 'extremely risky'

- Deutsche Bank has revised its rating on Tesla (TSLA), downgrading the stock to Hold from a Buy rating as the automaker shifts its focus to the production of a robotaxi. Deutsche Bank Lead US Autos Analyst Emmanuel Rosner joins Market Domination to explain the downgrade.
Rosner says "there's a strategic change" occurring within Tesla, saying that the company's new pricing strategies could potentially boost margins and overall profitability. However, he cautions that if Tesla redirects all of its resources toward the development of a robotaxi, it could face prolonged challenges.
For long-term investors, the concept of the robotaxi remains "exciting", but Rosner expresses concerns about Tesla's new direction. He emphasizes the risks of concentrating the company’s efforts solely on the robotaxi, moving away from its core electric vehicle production. According to Rosner, this strategy "is extremely risky for investors", as "it's betting the entire company on robotaxi", an unproven market segment that other automotive competitors have faced setbacks in.

Analysts downgrade Tesla to sell at 150 when they upgraded it to buy at 250 a few months ago? There is no more certain way to lose money than blindly following analysts recommendations.
Tesla is a dead company
I disagree with the analyst. Who said that the entire T. strategy is folded around the RoboTaxi project? Nobody. The RoboTaxi thing is just something working sideline, not the main focus nor the only pulling factor for the next years.
Elon essentially said Tesla’s main focus is on this robotaxi nonsense. His word is largely meaningless though.
Elon himself said that "Solving self-driving is the difference between Tesla being worth a lot of money and being worth basically zero." This was in reference to robotaxi. Without FSD, Tesla is just a regular old car company but worse because they focus primarily on EVs.
imagine how terrible a 25 thousand dollar Tesla would be.
It won't be, because that's never gonna happen, just like "robotaxis". 😂

When these Analysts say "hold", it's time to sell the f out and run away from the dumpster fire that is TSLA.
We went from everyone owing a tesla to .. everyone getting picked up in a robo taxi .. every generation gets burned in the stock market .. i had 2 generations of learning the hard way .. I see the same thinking I had years ago here .. if it's such a great stock .. sell it and if things turn around.. buy it again .. trying to make money costs money also
The P/E is still 34. Stock price can go down to 20 and the p/e would still be pretty good. So, no worries...

Exactly, Tesla P/E is still way too premium when compared to its peers. And they absolutely don't have any MOATS either. In fact, they look really vulnerable in front of the Chinese EV onslaught. Tesla stock will continue its downward spiral for the foreseeable future.

My guess is Zero.
FSD might turn into Robo-Taxi 2025, but with only 6 Million Teslas on the roads, maybe 7.5 million by then, that is a very HIGH RISK BET. The $25k Tesla to full or high market penetration FIRST, then ROBO-TAXI would be safer, better and overall helping Tesla achieve their goal FASTER.
Elon can afford to get that pure stuff by the pound....
