Now that years have passed, I'm beginning to appreciate this era of muscle car. I owned a '95 Mustang Cobra for 10 years until 2019, now own a '96 LT4 Corvette. They are enough power to have fun with, and not too new to have too much tech causing reliability problems- pretty simple and reliable cars.

@@user-oc8sr3ml9m I was grouping all pony cars and muscle cars together rather than stating both. The 60’s and real early seventies was known as the “Muscle car era” encompassing Pony cars. It wasn’t known as the “Muscle car and Pony car era”.

I’ve said this before, this is the most under appreciated designs Camaro has had.
Had a Sebring silver 98 z28 6 speed....almost identical equipment...leather and t tops. Miss that car very much. This thing looks almost perfect.
This is a pretty nice example. Very clean underneath and throughout. That's a good price as well. I had a 99 Trans Am for almost 13 years (original owner and wish I still had it). A lot of performance for just under 15k. I think they make reproduction headlights that are more smoked looking. I would do that and respray the front bumper and this would be real nice.

I owned a green 2000 V6 Camaro and then I upgraded to a red 2001 Z28 all stock with 59k miles 6 speed owned it for couple years and had to sell it about 9 years ago I was 21 at the time , to buy a property and start a family I set my priorities that way, now that I have a kid and I am almost 30 I can’t wait to purchase soon again my dream car some Camaro with low miles and from a first owner all stock and keep it forever, because I’ve had such great memories, was such a fun car , not the quickest but good enough to get your heart beat quicker from 0-60 in a little over 5 seconds and fairly reliable those ls1 naturally aspirated will outlast any modern car, yea build quality could be better some cheap plastic here and there but with the T-tops down on a nice summer day just cruising was one of the best feelings in the world! some people hate this Fbody I definitely appreciate this Fbody, one of the best, sure there are better faster more attractive cars but for my 20k budget this is just my perfect spot, love the Fbody till the end of my life ❤

man these cars got expensive, i remember when i bought mine back in 2008 for only $6000 with only 58 thousand miles on it.

@tylerfabish5578 doesn't mean you have to pay double for a car like this, these cars are cheap everything is plastic inside and they are pretty slow stock, so it doesn't make sense for these cars to be so expensive they are not the classic camaro and firebirds of the 60s 70s or 80s and they never will be.
@@maximusX_ sure they aren't classic BY TODAYS STANDARDS but they also arent slow like an IROC or a 70s Z28 either. You get an LS1 and even with the crappy auto transmission they are plenty fast and will have no trouble pegging the 155mph speedometer. Guess what, fast cars demand higher prices. LS1 good for half million miles and make in the 300s hp out of the box. And auto trans is out of a silverado, also solid. T56 manual is even more better but the price goes up.
I still have my 2002 Z28 ... and I'm keeping it ...
Worth every penny if you ask me. I would Leave it stock and get a fast 20 mi per gallon until the engine dies ls3 time after.
That's gonna fly off the lot in no time for that price. Man that's a Deal!

I'd buy that car just for the drivetrain. I'd rip it all out and put it in my IROC. The price for that car alone is a lot less than buying a new motor, tranny, ECU, and accessories to make it all work for my IROC. Then again, that is such a clean example of a 4th gen, it'd kinda be a shame for me to do that.
