Beauty can really be a curse. Like Bjorn aptly says, people treat you like a trophy, and give consideration to your feelings only insofar as it permits them to possess you. It is a sick function of the culture we live in, that treats people like objects to be used for one's own selfish purposes and gratification.

People on the streets starring at me. Mostly men.
Getting jealous looks , sometimes even behaviors.
Hate. Then you have people who want to talk to you about anything. They want to hang out with you only because you are good looking.
Want to be seen with you because of it.
And when you are not what they expect you to be they drop you like a piece of cake.
You are not a human anymore you are an object of desire.
And they think you owe them attention and your time.

@@cindyj5522 Well, so many of us inquire into the fate of Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Judy Garland, River Phoenix, Cory Haim, etc, but is it just exploitation of a person who suffered? In a way, yes, but I believe it draws you closer to these notable people. It makes you more sympathetic to them to know what happened.

For too long, powerful abusers got to paint the narrative in the media while the victims barely had a voice, but with the internet and documentaries like this one, victims of exploitation, sexual abuse, etc finally have a voice.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but from what I can gather he was only about 16 or 17 at the time. That's pretty young still. And in the clip even Bjorn himself admits to being really naive to how the world worked back then. So it's obvious that he didn't knowingly or intentionally allow himself to be used and objectified by all these people he was just too young and naive back in those days to know any better.

From what I can see from these footages he had a very symmetrical face, which even now is considered a metric for beauty Add to that that he had blue eyes and long blonde hair and you'll get what the director saw in him.
