Our totals Q's and Matches are very similar, also DXCC worked, I'm lagging behind on the Challenge only at 2250 I need to do a lot more on the low bands, thanks for taking the time to make the video hopefully it will encourage more people to use LoTW
Thank you. Yes, the idea is to give people not familiar with LOTW a look at it. If you are an awards chaser, it's a big advantage to use it. 73! de WX0V
It can be a bit daunting to set up and use, but once you master that, not that hard...more need to use it, especially rare entities..not so much dxpeditions, but small countries with few ops that only do paper QSL...great tutorial
Nice video Scott. Got me wondering when I used LOTW last. April 2020. Ouch. So I uploaded all the new QSOs. Now I have to figure out what to do with the thousands of Qs I've made as K2QO/r. If we'd only get another 5' of snow I'd have lots of extra time!!! -73, K2QO
I made this with you in mind...seriously...if one hasn't seen LOTW or are new to it, this gives you a basic look at the main features. Anything more than that, then you're on your own! 😀 Thanks and 73! de WX0V P.S. Love your channel!
Excellent question! Two part answer. Anyone can register and upload QSOs to LOTW; no ARRL membership is required as of 8/2023. However, ARRL membership is required to apply LOTW credits to an award, such as DXCC. 73! de WX0V
Just my opinion I think LOTW is out dated they should make it somewhat like QRZ log book. Yes I do upload to LOTW but only so that the LOTW user may credit for it. And they make it so difficult for ppl to sign up for it. Like I said just my opinion. But good informative video.
Another great video, Scott. LotW $ave$ so much money and eliminates the chance of mail theft (a significant problem). GL in the chase, VY 73 DE KA8SYV🍻

Do you need to be an ARRL member to use LoTW/TQSL?

Yes, the sign-up process is clunky, to be sure. Probabaly more than it needs to be, so I agree. 73! de WX0V
