Route 1) Delhi se direct bus le lo (check on paytm travel/redbus) for timing.
Ya Delhi se train lo Una ke liye jo ki 3 hrs pe hai NIT se then waha se regular buses hai

If you belong to North east then can prefer it ,don't just merely beleive in placement stats in web or just NIRF, Agartala may be very far from your home causing great inconvenience.Also Hamirpur has better connect to Big cities like Delhi, chandigarh And has a v good location in Himachal.

1)come to Delhi ->Direct bus to hamirpur/train to una(3hrs from NIT last train station) then bus.
2)or direct bus from Chandigarh

First always put your interest.if you want to go more of placement oriented then chemical can be good and for government side civil is better.

There are , one's near first year hostel and other one near final year.
Not sure though ,they allot single rooms.
