In all honesty, I always thought that Zoomer meant a member of generation Z 😂😂. I had no idea it was as specific as Destiny said (same for Boomer). I don’t think any black person who isn’t part of reddit culture knows that if I’m being honest lol. This is clearly where the disconnect is coming from and I’m just realising that.
Same a literally thought he was saying ‘young black creators’ but the guys like 30+ in a niche community of course most people won’t understand his terminology lol
Its NOT as specific as destiny is saying. He has a total misunderstanding of what Boomer and Zoomer is. Zoomer came from Boomer, and those boomer memes with the goatee he refers to is NOT a 30 yr old thing. My understanding is that Boomer is like 30-40+ where as zoomer is like below 30. I don't know why he's being so retarded about this
I dont believe that for the boomer part... everyone has heard the phrase "ok boomer". And everyone knows that its not only referring to baby boomers (1946-64) but people older than young adults in general (I'd say like 35+ or something). No one would "ok generation x" they would just say "ok boomer". I think the same applies for zoomers maybe not as strongly. People born in 1997 are zoomers but no one is calling a 25 year old a zoomer at least in terms of humor etc. If someone said "Yeah I was coming back home from work and these annoying ass zoomers were fucking around in the bus" you would think they meant some teenagers not 23 year olds... Or would you actually disagree with me on this
@@kara5202 I would think they were teenagers because I wouldn’t expect 23 year olds do be fucking around on a bus, not because of the word Zoomer. My 2 cents.... Our lives have become so stable and boring that people have become desperate to find purpose. They seek out controversy like it's buried f*ckin treasure. I remember there was a brief period of time when people were trying to label Bill Burr (The Comedian), as an alt-right racist. When responding to these accusations, he asked his black wife and daughter to come on his podcast and offer their thoughts on the subject. The irony of these nonsense controversies is that people ACTUALLY direct racism towards any black people who don't support the accusations. I don't think I've ever cared about anything, the way these people pretend to care about racism.
its interesting to see how many hoops people will jump through to defend anyone who isnt white when their actually being racist. even when the person doing it doesnt realize it, and then realizing their being racist without even think about it. its like their trying to preserve the idea that racism is only a white vs black thing and that the rest of the racism isnt actually racism
@Marian Kula What more could be said? You're replying to a reply of a comment under a Destiny video. Do you want that to dominate the conversation instead of this guy implying there's a concerted effort to diminish other forms of racism?
It's so cringe that when people react to clips they don't go to the source and watch at least 5 minutes before and after the clipped part from the source (vod or highlight), not someone who can easily cut it out of context or edit it. I don't care if it's Destiny or Hassan. Anyone who reacts to something needs to see the original context before throwing down the gauntlet. 90% of drama would be over in a day... unless they want the drama... oh...

Well, Aba might be invested for more than one reason beyond a friendship. Remember, Destiny is proudly in an open relationship, and Aba already asked Steven how he felt about well endowed gentlemen having sex with his wife. To which Steven replied, "People act as if I'm just some cuck, who isn't having sex on the side too." Maybe, it might be a business venture of Aba reaching a different demographic, but if he was a real friend he'd just call out his bullshit, and tell him to carry himself better. Now, interjecting may be the thing a friend should do, but I'm confused, because Aba should've just let those who felt offended question Destiny. The biggest being YourRage. He should've been here. Rage defended Destiny, and what did Destiny do, bite him straight on his ass. (Pause) Rage rightly felt betrayed, but he didn't go further than expressing how disappointed he felt for defending someone who would do that to him. 🤷🏾♂️

When people are so critical of destiny community and character but on the other end no one gets held to the same standard. Maybe it is just who has the more followers :
Tf you on about? These comments are insane. I’ve watched Kai for a long time, since he was back in his old house and he’s always been very accepting of anyone. Especially when it comes to the LGBTQI+ community. Speed is a different story, he’s someone who grew up in an environment where they’re not so opened minded to the LGBTQI+ community, yet he was willing to date a transgender. He expressed loved for her even when most of his community was against it. Finally, Kai and speed are very young, speed is 17 and Kai is 21. Compare that to destiny who is almost damn near 40. All I’m saying is that sure it’s fine for speed and Kai to take accountability for their actions and they have. Speed already apologized for a lot of the things he’s done. But Destiny should do the same. I don’t think he will though and that’s horrible for his community because they look up to him and everything he says and does.
Bro this man literally put a BOX AROUND BLACK STREAMERS talking about all they do is scream as a matter of a fact nobody said anything about white people screaming destiny is wrong on this one heavily
@@KevDog140 a few things. The fact that you have to say that speed has taken accountability is crazy. At least for this incident he took the opposite of accountability. He literally pushed everything off. Im asian but I don’t really care about what speed did. Not really a big deal on an individual level. It is a big deal for his audience though. A lot of his rhetoric can spread quickly if not taken care of properly. An example is the sui and barking. Not problematic examples but it has grown massively in popularity just because of him. Another point. You said that he’s taken accountability for a lot of the things he’s done. It’s very true that he’s done a lot. He keeps having problem after problem and he hasn’t been streaming for that long. Bro still hasn’t learned anything which I think is crazy. I like speed I think his content is funny but god damn is he stupid. Another thing is Kai may be “accepting” but the jokes he makes aren’t. Bro keeps taking shots at trans people like it’s nothing. Also says a bunch of “anti-gay” things in response to anything gay happening around him. I personally don’t think he’s homophobic but again rhetoric can be transferred easily. They’re called influencers for a reason. They influence the people watching them. Growing up I said a bunch of gay shit that would definitely not be okay today. I don’t think you should be cancelled for making a mistake. But the problem for these creators is their mistakes go viral and influence a whole generation that’s watching them. An example of this is when I was growing up if you played any online first person shooter game you were exposed to massive amounts of racism and homophobia. The internet was a different place. And what would happen is the kids that played those games would learn from the people they played with and start to use the same phrases and words. Then they’d carry that to school and extracurricular activities. I have a bunch of friends that said the n word 50 times a day that weren’t black and thought it was cool and chill. And me growing up around that I didn’t really think anything of it. Obviously now I understand that that’s probably not okay thing. Although I personally don’t care if anyone uses the n word because why tf would I care I’m not black but I understand that a black person might be offended if the word was used around them or the person used it in a mean or demeaning way. All this was to say that streamers and RUclipsrs need to understand why they’re called influencers and the words and rhetoric they use can shape their audience.
@@KevDog140 DGG is not the same as Speed's community. We are not a bunch of teens that 'look up to Destiny'. Destiny does dumb shit sometimes, less often than Kai and Speed, but he still does it. The difference is that Kai's and Speed's audiences are made up of these teens.
People constantly use "Boomer" to insult people with certain viewpoints. Aba is using the dictionary definition but Destiny is using the colloquial definition.
@@Ykthevibe35 lol he over generalized he wasn't being racist, especially when most clips from that community are Kai, Aiden, and I only halfway count speed
02:33:29 I think Destiny should really listen to that specific argument from Aba another time. If a majority of people outside your social group have a different understanding of a term than you, you should consider that term, the way that they understand it. There are groups were its totally cool to say the n-word for example but in the outside world it's not and you need to understand that. When Destiny said "zoomer black streamers", i definitely thought he was talking about online people of a specific age range. People who were born between 1997 und 2012. That seems accurate to me. Chronically online, always phone in hand, deepfried memes, loud = funny, fast humor. Certain words like lit, cap etc. And yeah that's what Destiny meant. And Speed definitely fits that description perfectly.
A young person often call themselves a "boomer" if they fumble with tech like the camera, the sound etc. The term is coined for a group of people born within a time span, but in parlance it's a reference to behaviors. This whole conversation is about "intentions" - it doesn't matter what the dictionary or google says, its always about intentions.
I mean the thing is dude you brought up race out of nowhere in that response to the speed situation. It’s not like people are “finding and reaching for racist things you said” you literally brought up black streamers out of nowhere. Whether that makes you an overall racist or not is another thing, but you honestly can’t be surprised that you’re getting the race card pulled back on you. It’s like why even bring up “black” streamers specifically in the first place when even you acknowledge it’s probably not a large quantity of them that are “loud, takes shirts off, screams, etc”. And the whole “it was a throwaway comment” doesn’t mean people shouldn’t speak on or respond to that. Like I said you literally pulled the race card and went on a whole tangent out of nowhere, ofc people are gonna criticize your take.
It’s just blows my mind how they can call destiny racist while completely disregarding the fact that destiny is in fact, without a doubt, a girls name.
Wow the internet has so many mentally unwell people! imagine me going to send someone death threats over a stranger. Yes i like Destiny, Aba, etc, but I would never in a million years go threaten people on their behalf. These people are strangers to you bro.
@@courtneybrock. No, I didn't say they should call other people that, I'm saying context matters. How does abbreviating it into "The N word" change anything?
People tend to Generalize when frustrated for example, if your arguing with your parent and you start a phrase with “you always” or “you never” which most likely for most things is never true. So what could be frustrating enough for him to generalize like that. He’s contempt with seeing young black successful steamers that have reached a status bigger then in under 2 years while he’s been in the business for ever. Simple
While I think Kai truly believed that Destiny's comment was unfair/racist, I don't think Kai really believed the second part of what he said about Destiny being jealous and mad that black streamers were gaining popularity. Seemed like Kai just got triggered and wanted to trigger Destiny back by making his own unfair comment.
So sorry he doesn't breakdown crying on his knees and begging for an apology. He's not like these other white streamers who are afraid of hurting insecure black people's feelings
2:30:50 Aba you're just wrong here lol. Destiny saying these new black Zoomer streamers is limiting the action he's saying to a subset of a subset of the streamer demographic . He generalized a SPECIFIC subset. Anyone grilling him on that is being obtuse and willfully ignoring that part
only so-so. Destiny seems to not understand that "zoomer" and "young" absolutely do mean the same thing in the minds of most people, because Zoomer is the generation most young people belong to. So Destiny's relatively specific use of the term (for a culture HE associates with Zoomers) is not going to reflect how most people use the term.
Speed doing what he did was a racist as shit act. Does that make HIM a racist? Fuck nah, but the act itself was racist, simple as that. People fucking trying to shield it behind "black people can't be racist because they have no power" or saying that he's only having people blow up on him because he's a successful young black man is fucking idiotic.
Destiny trying to argue that Zoomer as a term has nothing to do with age when he's refering to "black Zoomer streamers" is such a cope. If he already believes that Zoomers are crazy, off the wall ADHD people, why would he need to clarify that the content that Zoomer streamers do is crazy screaming shirt-tearing antics? Is he implying there's a 30+ year old black streamer doing that content, or is it solely the young black content creators that would fall within the Zoomer generation?
In the way he’s using it. It has nothing to do with age. It’s a way to describe a style of content. In the end it’s just a disagreement on definitions since most people just use the real definition of words and not the esoteric definitions that are formed through internet culture.

In all honesty, I always thought that Zoomer meant a member of generation Z 😂😂. I had no idea it was as specific as Destiny said (same for Boomer).
To which Steven replied, "People act as if I'm just some cuck, who isn't having sex on the side too." @@KevDog140 a few things.
I think they're against you because they're friends with Kai
Nah because he’s racist and being brought up black streamers for no reason nobody was worried about him
@@Ykthevibe35 lol he over generalized he wasn't being racist, especially when most clips from that community are Kai, Aiden, and I only halfway count speed
Destiny is just dead wrong on the zoomer thing
02:33:29 I think Destiny should really listen to that specific argument from Aba another time.
If a majority of people outside your social group have a different understanding of a term than you, you should consider that term,
the way that they understand it.
I love how Kai says you know who I am then proceeds to who destiny 😂
The victim mentality of a ton of the people in this whole situation is insane. It's really not that deep whatsoever.
Black fragility is real
It’s just blows my mind how they can call destiny racist while completely disregarding the fact that destiny is in fact, without a doubt, a girls name.
Say a black guy did something objectively racist and you become the racist for pointing it out
1:09:31 LMAOOOO DESTINY IS PEAK CONTENT
🤣💀
Wow the internet has so many mentally unwell people! imagine me going to send someone death threats over a stranger. Yes i like Destiny, Aba, etc, but I would never in a million years go threaten people on their behalf. These people are strangers to you bro.
Americans saying "Ninja" or the "N word" is so cringe to me. You all need to grow up.
@@courtneybrock. No, I didn't say they should call other people that, I'm saying context matters. How does abbreviating it into "The N word" change anything?
So true ma nigga. But whities are SHEEPS dawg. They fear us and they fear our words. Keepin it real here niggas. OG style.
How can an entire community be so painfully insecure
Blacks
Pride
Because he said some racist shit out of nowhere💀💀💀
Trying to be sarcastic in this situation isn’t making it any better☠️
So sorry he doesn't breakdown crying on his knees and begging for an apology. He's not like these other white streamers who are afraid of hurting insecure black people's feelings
2:30:50
Aba you're just wrong here lol.
Um, Destiny pointing out someone is Black IS the main crux of the issue. He didn't say dumb streamers but had to say BLACK dumb streamers.
Destiny watching his clips and marveling at how based he is ... peak content.
Seeing Hasan, a 30+ y.o. man, say he’s in the “poggers community” was one of the cringiest, most embarrassing moment I’ve ever seen.
what a strange thing to get so triggered by. hope you recover
59:23 Bruh this destroyed me 🤣🤣🤣
The most racist shit I heard in this video was Hasan saying that most rappers are losers.
“I got binders full of black people” lmao I love it
Who would've thought the Zoomer/Boomer thing would be were the biggest disconnect is
Yeah man. I’ve never seen Destiny have a take that is so terminally online
@@SEVRR it's obvious he doesn't watch the stream PSA watching a clip won't show a streamer personality. Either way all these dudes are a distraction so you don't meditate (kemet)
@@SEVRR That's the dang problem. His head is too far up his bum to acknowledge that most people are going to (reasonably) interpret it as an age based ruling, because "Zoomer" means "Gen Z" for most people.
@@SEVRR There's the cope. Zoomer is literally gen Z. The primary characteristic of the group is their AGE. Zoomer = teens/young adults (at this time) and anyone who doesn't know that is being intellectual dishonest. Destiny is being extremely defensive and doesnt want to admit what he said was essentially dog whistling adjacent.
