I wouldn't use an impact gun on that the nut isn't designed to take the stress which is why impact socket attachments are made from a different material from what I remember.
acording to the manual, there 83nm and then 90 degree. witch i found inpossible to do. i got the 83nm but would not go the 90 degree. and yes i was scared of stripping the nut as there only soft alley
To get the seals out you could drill two small holev180° apart and screw two self tapping screws into the holes and use these to leaver the seal out .
Agree, most mechanics use this method, I suppose he could also try a small slide hammer to knock it out too.
Or Eden buy the seal pry tool for less than £20.00
