This was the original hit em up, then B.I.G took the beat and used it for his Get money remix and then 2pac came even harder on the official hit em up lmao.
but I don't get how people actually think this beat is the Get Money beat? It's not even close to being similar. Yea I mean the remix but hey that's a remix from later than Hit em up.
Lol, I’m imagining them all in the studio listening to this over a blunt when they were done recording, and then pac tellin outlawz “get back in the booth niggas, still ain’t right!”
I've been looking for this for years. About 15 years ago I bought an underground CD titled "When I Rise" that had this and all kinds of other great Tupac songs that were never released and it was so good but I lost it
@@rydernigga8751 the instrumental is called "bank heist". Lot of people dont realize that when dr.dre realizes 2pac was making hit em up, he said 2pac that he wanted to make a beat and be involved in hit em up too because dr.dre realized how popular hit em up will since dre had a very good ear for things.
THIS NIGGA SAID ALL YALL THAT WANT TO BE LIKE FRANK WHITE AND AL CAPONE , that's all movies , fool frank white was a movie al capone was a real gangster . but he said tupac was an actor who's acting now ?
Yeah ,in this old Vibe magazine I read, Edi said Tupac said if you wasn't done writing after he was, then you wasn't on the track. That's why you hear some outlaws on different record than others.
Perhaps he called in "sick" to work that day? Sore throat, dry cough, runny nose, sinus headache... and if it was on a Friday, that would give him the whole weekend off too!!!
The Official Version of Hit'em Up is obviously a classic but at the same note, I personally think it is an overrated Pac, Deathrow, and Outlaw diss track in my personal opinion. Runnin on E', NY'87, Watch Ya Mouth, Bomb First, Troublesome 96', Friendz, and more Pac songs whether he went solo or rode with the Outlawz on those tracks were lyrically and sonically better to me and harder. But I even like this version better than the official. There are so many diss tracks Pac did to Biggie, Jay-Z, Nas, Mobb Deep, and other East Coast rappers that are so undermined
Hell yes, Hit Em Up is essentially the most commercially recognised and hyped joint. If we're talking straight lyrical assault, then it pales in comparison to Against All Odds, NY87, Bomb First, Watch Ya Mouf, etc.
