Dave is very smart, and not to mention blessed. He's one of my biggest role models. Glad to see he isn't still moping about the whole Metallica/Megadeth thing. My list of Megadeth albums is as follows. 1. Rust In Peace 2. Peace Sells...But Who's Buying? 3. Endgame 4. So Far So Good...So What 5. United Abominations 6. The System Has Failed 7. Countdown to Extinction 8. Killing Is My Business...And Business Is Good 9. The World Needs A Hero 10. Youthanasia 11. Cryptic Writings 12. Risk
man Dave is a legend in metal. and like a couple of u said, his point of view on many subjects is the one we should all have. specially if u have a religious background. and megadeth still kicks major ass.i saw them back in august. rust in peace haters!!! (polaris is so hard to play)
I LOOOOOOVE Slayer and Anthrax is pretty cool, but I think I would actually prefer a Metallica/Megadeth US Tour than the Big Four, just because Megadeth is my favorite band and Metallica is awesome, and I want both of them to have long setlists, not just Metallica.
It's your opinion that Pantera doesn't compare musically. In my opinion they're so amazing that even though I prefer Megadeth I certainly wouldn't use that to take away from what Pantera accomplished. You could say that some of their music was slow. But definitely not weak.
@DTOMUSA74 Except that album sales isn't what's kept them off the Big 4. The big four is exclusive to Thrash metal. That's like being surprised that Michael Jackson wasn't in the Big 4.
Also if ya dig and enjoyed this video on Megadeath 😀 you may also enjoy the song " Most of All " By Glenn Kaiser and Where Roses Grow Live by Rez Band Awesome songs check them out. Also I remember hearing the song by Led Zepp " In My Time of Dyin " during my drug years and made me think about death and Jesus. Then a hippy friend that dug Jesus told me more of Jesus love and forgiveness and how I could also know Jesus love. So in 1981 I cried out to Jesus and wow man He came into my life and I had and have so much joy and peace and now know that through Jesus when I die I will be with Him in Heaven. Hey Jesus loves each of you also and yall can know Him if you are at all open. Just cry out to Him and a good question to ask yourself if you were to die today would you go to heaven ? And if yes why ? To find out more please read the Gospel of John in the Bible or check out the movie on RUclips. 😀
There are plenty of guitar players/lead singers that sound great, and I don't listen to Megadeth for the fucking vocals, I listen for the music itself. Pantera does not compare to Megadeth musically in any way, Dime was alright but he's only mentioned so much because he was killed.
@MjXllcommando Well Lars had the money(he was a professional tennis player at one time and made good money at the time)....Other than that yeah you are pretty much right. He's drumming is good but not as good as some that I've heard. I think the drummer for "Fear Factory" Jean Hoglan to me at the present time is the best as far as speed,complexity, etc. But Metallica is my favorite band.
Pantera is not weak dude, what the hell is wrong with you? Dimebag was one of the ballsiest players out there carrying the full weight of tight rhythms and super clean leads. You should know this, man.
But Pantera was always based on Van halen set up So no need of other guitar player . And when you singer can sing stuff like Power metal , Psycho holiday , and slaughtered or Revolution is my name .. its enough to not play an instrument on stage . You re jealous
Fuck. I remember every second of that Rust In Peace show when they came to Houston. My brother and my friend (we are in a band) were lucky to go. We live in the Dallas area, and Houston is pretty far. Thank god we went, because it was the most inspiring thing we have ever seen. We are so close, and I have no doubt we will have a successful band in the future. I thank Megadeth, for making beautiful music, and inspiring us to take it upon our selves and many others to make sure metal never dies.
hey im a christian to, and i dont push my religion to other ppl. its my thing and i respect everyones believe whether if ur atheist, buddhist, muslim, hell even if ur satanic i would respect it. its like its ur decision i wouldnt fight about it, i respect ur decision and u respect mine sorta deal. anyways dave rules, thrash til deth!!!
@evanalanjones Well they could technically could get back together. Zak Wylde could play Dime's parts no problem and the rest of the band could get back together. That would be awesome but more of dream really....:-)
Que genialidad sería una gran gira juntos Metallica y Megadeth ❤ Vamos chicos háganlo por los fans Q AMAMOS A AMBAS BANDAS Y DE CIERRE Q DAVE TOQUE CALL OF KTULU 😍🤗🤗🤗 SERIA enloquecida mente genial 🤟🏻🤘🏻
@DTOMUSA74 Hey, I like Pantera just fine. But they were never thrash. They had thrash elements, thanks to bands like Metallica inspiring them, but were not, themselves, thrash. They were *say it with me* Groove metal. And the Big 4 were established long before Metallica fell into the Alternative genre. You don't have to like it, but it is what it just is.
@GolecWTF It's a good album, but that was their biggest drift from their style other than Risk. I enjoy everything they've put out except for Risk, but when I think Megadeth, I think heavy hitting metal, not small traces of metal mixed with pop and mainstream rock
@cmsasuke17 it pisses me off when christians "beat"their "religion"on people.im a christian and i have a real realationship with christ,and if an oppurtunity arises i will ahare the gospel but.im not one to walk up to someone and say"u need jesus"
@chefhetfield pantera broke up so they wouldnt be but if they stayed it would be the big 5 although pantera werent as popular as the big 4 so i doubt they would be in it
I dont think he would stayed in metallica I dont see James and Lars play loved to death , Rattlehead , or set of the world on fire ( Already in 83 ) ....
It's incredible how he began aging after 2008.
One of the best musicians ever! Was great to see him on stage, playing a festival with the others of the big four! Was a historical event
Megadeth 🤘 👍

12. Risk
That 1 fool who disliked got owned by Dave!
@GarrettGuitarist18 And the encore should be the original "The Mechanix" with all eight members playing it.
megadeth,rocks...the real shit yo!! much love dave!!!

Dude, the interviewer is asking some hard questions haha
It's your opinion that Pantera doesn't compare musically. In my opinion they're so amazing that even though I prefer Megadeth I certainly wouldn't use that to take away from what Pantera accomplished. You could say that some of their music was slow. But definitely not weak.

what song is it before the interview starts?
holy shit an arnold accent
@mynameismudddd In financial terms playing in Megadeth instead of Metallica is like working at 7-11.

Dave rules \m/
Did he end the interview with "fine"? lol

@JAMESMCORBETT true. have u noticed he says something about his religion in almost every interview? lol
Pantera is not weak dude, what the hell is wrong with you? Dimebag was one of the ballsiest players out there carrying the full weight of tight rhythms and super clean leads. You should know this, man.
hahahha ahhhhh I love this guy :D
wat is the name of the song in the intro?
Hello from the future, Headcrusher is the song
Pantera is ok at best, but if you're singer isn't playing an instrument, it's weak, sorry bud.
But Pantera was always based on Van halen set up
So no need of other guitar player .
And when you singer can sing stuff like Power metal , Psycho holiday , and slaughtered or Revolution is my name .. its enough to not play an instrument on stage .

HOLY SHIT, METALLICA AND MEGADETH ON THE SAME TOUR AGAIN, when do i start to save money
I like when he said "Me and James are like the big daddies of this whole thing", rock on Dave!!!
Dime was great, but Pantera just does nothing for me musically. It's slow and weak. Some stuff they have is decent, but overall I don't care for it.
Power metal is pretty fast with Some complex part , riffs and mindblowing Solos
hey im a christian to, and i dont push my religion to other ppl. its my thing and i respect everyones believe whether if ur atheist, buddhist, muslim, hell even if ur satanic i would respect it. its like its ur decision i wouldnt fight about it, i respect ur decision and u respect mine sorta deal. anyways dave rules, thrash til deth!!!

For god sakes leave the poor guy alone, my uncle did a load of drugs and looks worse than he does, even his daughter looks worse than he does.
@deah70
exactly dude. you took the words right out of my mouth.
Nice interview. Pretty good questions by the interviewer.
Long live MegaDave
wow, saw a totally different perspective of dave in this. its a bummer about the headbanging, makes me wanna cut bac! not. ;)
Daves right forearm is like twice as big as his left, I don't think he ever completely recovered from his nerve injury.
@DTOMUSA74 Except that Pantera was never thrash metal. They were Groove metal. Hence, not in the Big 4.
@JAMESMCORBETT I wish all christains were like that
@MetalGuitarist003 nono, the Joker sounds like him from the NEW batman movies.
Would love to see a Metallica and Megadeth tour.
dave is a cocky,arrogant prick by nature but that's why i love him
kirk watched it n marty told him to push the dislike button
Haha he sounds like the Joker from the new Batman movies
here in 2020 can we have a Metallica/Megadeth tour next year
Megadeth/Metallica tour would be AWESOME!!!
damn dave looks ripped lol
@RockSinbin Head Crusher
@chefhetfield pantera broke up so they wouldnt be but if they stayed it would be the big 5 although pantera werent as popular as the big 4 so i doubt they would be in it
Pantera did their own thing , and they arent part in big 4 environnement stuff .
@thewatcher1985 headcrusher from endgame
what ???? quitting no fucking way...:(
@BADSKP youthanasia by far
just think if he didnt get kicked out of metallica it would be the big 3
I dont think he would stayed in metallica
I dont see James and Lars play loved to death , Rattlehead , or set of the world on fire ( Already in 83 ) ....
he is best
i fucking love both dave and james metallica and megadeth are the best!
And just how are Pantera's riffs weak?Dime was one of the greatest guitarists in the world for a reason.
Great Interview, and the interviewer is cool.
