I played Ben kei years ago when it came out, and my favorite combo at that time was big bang shot equipped to an opposing face up, then activate giant trunade for trap and monster removal at the same time. Then wipe em out in one turn lol it was my favorite deck
You could run summoner monk to get rid of dead spells and get Ben kei out or mystic mine to slow down the opponent. Or even emergency teleport and a level 3 tuner and go into power tool dragon to search equips.

Why not play the Isolde, Two Tales Of The Noble Knight build? It can easily get you Armed Samurai - Ben Kai and gets you 1 Equip Spell for sure and run a lot of Equips so you will have one in hand?
You need Dark Grepher and any Dark Monster, Armaggedon Knight, Vison HERO Vyon, Neo Space Connector, or Reinforcement Of The Army so you have so many combo starters

You might consider running Power of the Guardians to also give your Ben Kai some protection from destruction effects
