  • I have shown the calculation and need of the Johnson-Cook (JC) damage material model. And also explained through Excel sheet.
    The source code for calculating the D1, D2, D3 damage parameters is available in following Git-Hub repository link.

    Hello, Mam. I have a reinforcing steel stress-strain relationship that is temperature-dependent. with this data, can I make a Johnson Cook damage model?

    • @scienceandtechnologybygaya3535
      @scienceandtechnologybygaya3535  2 года назад

      Thank you very much for watching my video. Sorry for late reply. what Johnson cook material model explained in the video, is used for only ductile material. And you are asking for ductile and brittle both. Reinforcing steel means, using steel rod for strengthening the concrete. You have to use Holmquist-Johnson-Cook constitutive model.

      I have explained it. There are five JC parameters A, B, n, C, m. A, B, n can find from Quasi static process. You get Stress strain value for Quasi static process through tensile test by using Universal tensile Machine.

    hello,madam,i'm doing the turning simulation based on ABAQUS recently. In the simulation process, i need to use J-C damage model.The material is titanium alloy TC11.I have read the relevant papers,but there is no J-C damage parameter. Moreover, i have a week knowledge of materials. Can you help me find the J-C damage parameters of TC11?be deeply grateful.

    • @scienceandtechnologybygaya3535
      @scienceandtechnologybygaya3535  3 года назад

      You can search through the papers only. And also you should check that strain rate requirements in your work should match with the paper. then only you can use the JC parameters of the paper.

    • @scienceandtechnologybygaya3535

      Hi, Will you please give more detail about tensile test data? Have you done the experiments for notched and un notched specimens both and have failure strain for all specimens. Then you can calculate the triaxiality factor for each specimen and make a graph between Triaxiality stress factor vs corresponding failure strain. If you are having this data points then Yes, You can find the parameters D1, D2, D3. I have given a link of source code for finding D1, D2, D3 parameters after putting above data point. This source code is available in Git-Hub Repository. And thank you for asking the questions.
