Aw, I love this edit 😭 thank you for this! I personally thought the live action was wonderful-the casting especially. I’m mainly a manga fan for OP but enjoy listening to the opening and ending songs from the anime too; it would be really cool if they made an instrumental nod to Memories as part of the LA ost
@@RenderingUser TLDR: In general. Depends on what genre it is I guess. Live action can't express some things like unique anime face expressions, but the biggest downside are probably superpowers, monsters and unique moves. For example irl if you shout a name of some technique it doesn't look cool, it looks cringe, not to mention visual effects. Monsters or merfolk can look weird too. Yeah, you can say they tried their best, but that's the only thing you can say. Animation allows you to show anything you want to the audience, live action is constrained in this part, I guess. The only good live action of anime would probably be something without supernatural powers and ppl.
I do have my nitpicks with this adaptation but overall I like it as it allows me to watch one piece with my family, which wasn't possible until now and it also gives people a chance to get into one piece who previously thought it was too long. I'm hopeful for season 2 if we ever get one. They ended up cutting some of my favorites and I'm not too fond of it but overall I think it achieves the spirit of one piece to an extent. I also like what they're doing with koby here, that's much better than the anime/manga version along with other things like characters not being borderline unbearably stupid like they are in the anime sometimes. I'd say this show has It's own charm and if you watch it treating it like a short if route you might be able to appreciate it more. But I also agree with everything you've said, most things can't be replicated here in live action but that's okay, they're doing their best and it shows. I also like the pacing more here, it's far far better.. tho I wish they didn't remove my favorite scenes and characters but again that's to be expected.
@@Swallowtail01 we respect it. But i don't think all live action are bad like Avengers from mcu, man of steel from dc, maleficent inspired from disney, From me to you (Kimi ni todoki) a bluckbuster romance film from Japan was inspired from Japanese anime, Meteor Garden from Taiwan was inspired from Hana yori Dango (Boys over flower). Death note Japan also a good live action. True some changes from remake or reboots of live action because of the plot twist of the story. but those production, producer, special effect or the actors nailed the story & characters what they need on the live action both western & Japanese anime. ---Example of good live action: But still in depends on the actor if they can nailed the emotion or the producer of the film like example Chris Evans as captain america, he nailed his character. Angelina Jolie from Maleficent inspired from Anime disney sleeping beauty & for me the story is much better even they changes the story from villain to antihero. Or the actors & actress nailed the emotion & the cgi was good. Another good casting was Mamiko Noto as Sawako from the live action me to you (Kimi ni todoki) She nailed her character & the accurate emotion from anime. Barbie Hsu who played sanchai the counterpart of makino from Japanese anime & live action is also a good example of good casting from meteor garden or hana yori dango. She can express her emotion & her acting is good that they are other times I cried on her acting. Actually I enjoy the live action more than the anime. Mackenyu & Inaki who played zoro and luffy is a good casting. they nailed their characters from emotion, fight scene & acting. They nailed the goffy characters of luffy. True they are other times the cgi & special effect are not so good sometimes, & some actors don't nailed how to portray their characters they played. But at least we have to agree this one are much better than other live action because this one stay on the source materials from both anime & manga. ------Example of bad live action If some actor can't nailed the accurate character or bad producer they can make a worse live action. Example of bad casting, bad producer & bad story telling. Disney Mulan is awful because of toxic feminism unlike the anime who show gender equality. Death note american version, I have no problem to ryuk he nailed actor nailed his casting & the CGI & the books. The problem was the character development & worse plot twist. they make L as cry baby, gender swap mia or misa became the villain & Light became protagonist? Dragon ball evolution all casting, CGI, story & manymore are bad. Attack on titans 1-2 had a bad CGI & story concept. I feel so bad the actors are amazing but i feel their being wasted here. And last well be Cowboy bebob. Same with dragon ball this one is also bad. And this live action are cringe to watch unlike the other live action i told. Edited: *** But I understand, maybe your not a fan of live action that's why u don't like it. Or just like what u said, "Depends on what genre." I mean not all of us have a same reaction & opinion in that show. 🥰✌
@@Swallowtail01agree, but we had to admit this one is much better than dragon ball evolution live action 😂. This one stay true to source material & some actors nailed the character including their emotion like iñaki godoy who played Luffy. And I don't feel cringe in this show I really enjoyed it & love it❤. It's looks like I'm watching a mixing story of one piece & game of thrones. For me this one finally break's the cursed of any live action.
Hey dude, I don’t know if you’re ever gonna see this but in case you didn’t know we was getting their fourth season finally in October this year just thought I’d let you know, bro

Okay tbh I hate live action, but it's not like I don't appreciate your editing.
You hate live action in general or the just one piece live action?
