I do prefer this format enjoy it not being interrupted by same questions and people wanting their name read out. Thank you shinichi x

Sinichi, this video should be in the main channel, what a fantastic walk. Thanks for taking us with you and letting us enjoy the history and beauty of his area. Big hugs and big thanks!
When I go to a cemetery after a funeral, obviously there is immense sadness. But, if tending to my grandparents grave, it doesn't bother me. There is this intense stillness that is calming. As for the new format, a lot of people are doing this. I am fine with whatever you do. You are my own personal travel guide. I love it. YT has really allowed me to find amazing channels like yours to get that authentic Japan feel. I used to watch travel shows, but they are highly censored and generally boring. So, thank you and Satoshi for being so awesome! And Justin too. ❤🐶
Yanaka is an area I'd really like to visit--so quaint and interesting. I'd particularly love to spend time visiting the Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines.
I think this video format is wonderful because it gives you more freedom to focus on what's around you in the moment and the "premiere" component gives the video a live stream feel. So, viewers have the best of both worlds while making filming a little bit less stressful for you.
Please be careful in the heat, Shinichi. Stay hydrated and be safe. ❤️
I like the new format. Nice to see real Tokyo. It is hot and humid here as well. Watching your videos is a welcome relief from the covid isolation. Thank you
I like this format, Shinichi. It seems more personal, as if you are talking directly to one person rather than a crowd :)
I've walked around Nippori but not Yanaka, so found this video very interesting. We like this area of Tokyo and stay in a lovely modern ryokan (Edo Sakura) in Taito. We look forward to exploring Tokyo again when travel opens up but enjoy wandering vicariously with you in the meantime. Thanks for the guided tours. Stay safe.
すごく長かった梅雨もあって散歩も出来なかったので外の街並みが見れて楽しかったのと、観光では行かないような東京が見れて楽しかったです。
I love this type of video. It makes me feel like I’m there! I’ve only been to Okinawa and I fell in love with Japan. Love watching tabieats!💝
Thank you for taking me with you through the city. It's really nice to forget about being stuck at home, and imagine to be in Tokyo for a bit. I'm in the Netherlands, and people are very disrespectful of the rules. So I don't go out at all. I wish I was in Japan during these times, where people seem to feel more responsible for the group. I honestly enjoy whatever kind of video you make. You're just a fun guy to watch. Please stay safe and healthy.
Thanks. I do wish to travel to the Netherlands again in the future
Oh it's so nice to see Yanaka shopping area again! I was there in January 2020 and, of course, pre-COVID it was very busy with tourists. It's nice to be able to see what the street and neighbourhood actually look like without all the people.
Also, I love narrated walking vids. It's my jam. I know some people really like livestreams but I prefer film-and-post-later like you have done here.
As you mentioned at the beginning of the vid, if you are arriving at Nippori Station, you can exit the other side and check out Fabric Town - it's a must-see for crafters!
This is so cool. I think if I lived in Japan, I would want to live in an area like this. I'm really digging the vibe!
thank you Shinichi, very lovely videos. Edu I am from Brazil.
So nice to see real old neighbouhoods with real people living there with old time trades, good to preserve the good old days
Japanese architecture has always been gorgeous.
Japan is one of the destination in my trip list. Such a nice and quiet place to live. Anime brought me here and it was worthwhile afterall. In India the situation is unlike japan...and streets here are mess and overcrowded.
I love these videos. I can sit with some tea in the early mornings and watch them. It’s so peaceful.
Love walking in cemetery. I find them absolutely peaceful.
I love these videos! It's like getting a personal tour of Tokyo from afar! :) Plus, it motivates me to explore my own city on foot. Keep them up!
Can't wait cooler weather so Satoshi can walk with you. I love the walking and bike tours. I appreciate your sharing stories
It's fairly sunny and probably 23-25c or so in Seattle. Thank you for your lovely tours, they're making my summer a little more fun!
i love your new format, thankyou Shinichi san for bringing us a little escape from this isolated world we find ourselves in
I love the old houses and gates i see in your vlog, those people biking around ,it seems so peaceful and so clean every where...i wish someday to be there in japan...lts just a dream coz... i can't afford it.
Don't worry - hopefully you have lots of time ahead of you .My first visit there was when I was 64 having wanted to go from the age of 18! Since then I have been back three more times and was planning to commemorate my 70th birthday with my fifth visit this autumn (until this ******* virus came along). I travel alone, stay in Airbnb or similar self-catering places, shop with the locals, use local transport and I don't find it expensive once in the country.
Love it as usual. Thank you, Shinichi, for taking us on a stroll with you 🥰
This is the Tokyo that I would like to experience in person one day, thank you for this :)
I loved the old Tokyo area's I think in my mind one of the best parts of Tokyo I can't say whether the area I'm thinking about was Yanaka but it was old houses old shops, restaurants and bar it was wonderful
I love visiting beautiful cemeteries, there’s a lot of rich history and beautiful structures to admire
Love the new format!
So magical and so beautiful... humble, simple, and wonderful
Such beautiful streets! I do enjoy this new format. Please stay hydrated in the heat!
Japan is really beautiful!!
It's been mostly 100°F here in San Antonio, Texas! Whoo! Gotta love the heat. We are loving the new editing style. Great video!
Japan is the best, I love filming videos in Japan there is so much to see and do!
I love this old town part, I know I'll never get to see Japan and your sharing this makes it a little more real more. Thank you
I visited Tokyo back in February and loved every minute of it. You're retracing my first steps in the city as I arrived from the airport to my ryokan in Nezu! As soon as travel is ok again I'm headed back to "my neighborhood" of Yanesen. Thanks for this video!
Hi, I have been to Yanaka Ginza twice. Loved it. I was also scolded for taking photos at the Fried fish place. Will go back again. Keep up the good work.
Beautiful Yamasaka/Yamanaki. I love this area...and I would love going to the fabric street!
I love buildings from the olden days!
I love the shops, Shinichi. Used book shop! OooooLaLa!
A pottery shop built so long ago! Very special,
Old cameras! A gallery! Temples. Historical buildings! So nice!
I love the new format! It works beautifully!
Just became a subscriber like your videos love the new format it is great to see japan the local area 👍👍👍
Thanks for taking me back. I visited there on my first solo trip in 2014, when I was still afraid to do much, like go into shops. So I rushed through it. Going through my pictures I recognise a lot of the places you highlighted here!
Old place i love to see. This place look so great.
This new format is very Good. I also like looking at the cemetary markers and seeing what structures the markers are for the many people that are there.
I find cemeteries fascinating. A cities history. Weather here in San Francisco is cold and foggy! A typical SF Summer..haha
Tokyo has the best sounds! I miss this so much. Hopefully the world will be safer again next year.
Thanks for this, I was in Yanakaginza last September and loved walking through the narrow streets. Had some fried ginger chicken from the shop on the left hand side at the end of the street as well.
Cemeteries are my favorite places to walk and explore. They are generally devoid of people and very peaceful.
I loved visiting Yanaka in the spring of 2016. Such a magical time and atmosphere and would love to return!
Yanaka is one of my favorite areas of Tokyo. I go to Yanaka Ginza every time I pass though Tokyo. The sculpture museum has an amazing garden, and great tours. I was shocked to see no line for the fried food stall. It's stressful ordering, but it tastes so good. Thank you for a great video.
Fabulous treat for us all today. Thank you so much for the beautiful images as you walked around. Sitting in the cold in Victoria Australia wishing we had your heat.
We walked through the cemetery in the evening and did not know that we were going pass a historical site till we watched your video just now. Thanks again for the memories!
I definitely enjoyed my walking tour of Yanaka when I visited in May of 2007. I exited at a different subway entrance and initially got lost (those were the days before smart phones and Google Maps were common). I ended up wandering through the residential neighborhoods on the opposite side of the path to Yanaka. That in itself was rather interesting as I got to see the places where people lived and the smaller side streets. The walk through Yanaka was a welcome escape from the crowds and noise in the more congested parts of Tokyo. I found a peaceful park bench in Yanaka cemetery where I was able to sit and enjoy the solitude amongst the cherry blossoms. During the entire afternoon I spent in the area I didn’t see another tourist until I got to Yanaka Ginza.
i really like this format! i think its a good mix between streams and uploaded videos. this is a beautiful area! thank you for the vid 🙏
Thank you for braving the heat for us. Stay hydrated. 😎👍
Thank you for bringing us through Tokyo city.☺
I went there in 2017. I got so turned around in the cemetery, I probably wasted a good hour walking around trying to get out of there and reach Yanaka. It was raining steady and I had my old, old umbrella which lost its ability to repel water, so I was just walking around like an idiot with water dripping on my head. I kept looking at Google Maps on my phone, but I couldn't tell what direction I was heading towards because the stupid arrow on the map didn't point straight ahead. But I finally got there! To soothe my nerves, I went into this cafe and had a coffee and cake set. Cake always makes it better.
Yaay...Cake❤❤❤!!!
That was Soooooo interesting, I love the historical buildings. They ar so simple and beautiful in their natural form. I'd love to live in one of them, so close to history and memories of times passed, amazing.
The cemetery is so much different from the cemeteries in the UK.
Yes we have family plots, some of which are gated or walled by the cemetery you walked through was so organised and I love the fact tat there are so many walled units, it somehow feels so much more personal and loved.
The protected wall is a real work of time skilled art and perfection, such a thing should always remain for future generations to admire.
What a wonderfully tranquil video. I love this format and hope that you want to make more of these explorations of your city.
Shinichi-san I enjoy these walking-talking videos very much. I like seeing the sights and having you tell us about interesting things. Keep doing them, please.
The temples there are beautiful places to heal your soul.
Hi from Brooklyn Shinichi! Thank you for taking us around Yanaka. It's my dream to visit Japan someday, and when I do, your videos will serve as my guides the whole way through 💜🚶🏻♀️🍥
Cemetery looks peaceful, I could walk through it
We broke the record for number of days over 43.3c (110f) here in Phoenix area. 33 and climbing. This entire week will be above 43! Crushing the record and our spirits
Love seeing non-touristy places
I love this new format a lot.
I really love watching it..
Yes, I do love this new format. This cemetery you showed us isnt spooky at all but there are some
Thank you for sharing! I enjoy these videos! The history you give to us is amazing! Beautiful old preserved area! Maybe a video for the oldest temple, shrine or building for this area! Cemetary was also interesting. Our summer is coming to an end just enjoying the sun and summer days! It is 91°F here!☀️
Shinichi I have been really enjoying these videos. Love exploring new places with u. Keep them coming.
So beautiful there. Thank you for the wonderful tour. Big hugs
Love this format, and love this video.
YaNeSen area is absolutely amazing. We chose this place to stay during our Tokyo trip and this video brought so many good memories: Nezu temple, Yanaka Ginza shopping Street, an onigiri shop run by an old lady near Nishi nippori station (おにぎり もがみ)...
Truly amazing neighborhood! Thanks for showing us around and telling us your family stories and personal experiences
Thanks for doing this!! I am in Melbourne Australia. We have entered a more severe lockdown and my partner and I live in an apartment in the centre of the business district. It's very strange and quiet but also a strange kind of peacefulness. I love this part of town you are walking around and watching this while we are in lockdown and its winter here. I enjoy having your walk playing while I work, it's super relaxing.
Please continue to stay safe
This was great, thank you. I've been daydreaming about traveling, and your video was a lovely inspiration.
Thank you for this video. I used to live there for 1 month with my family. So nostalgic for me. Thanks!
Hope you can come back again
I love these videos Shinichi! Thank you so much for sharing your travels with us! I always dreamed of travelling, especially to Japan! Your vids keep the dream alive until I can visit one day. 💜💜💜😊🙏🏻
Gosh this is so nostalgic, I used to live 10 minutes from Yanaka Ginza and god walking through it every time i came back from Nippori ws incredible
I find that the weather in Tokyo and here in NYC are the same a lot of times..It's about 90 degrees F and very humid as well. It has been an especially brutal hot summer. I love Yanaka ! It's so quaint, peaceful....and so full of history and culture.
Merci pour la vidéo 👍
Thank you
Thanks for bringing us back to this place. Your live stream is very nice. We were here back in January. Looking forward to visiting japan again when the pandemic is over. Keeps streaming & stay safe.
I enjoyed the walk through Yanaka...world world charm!!
Glad to see you out again!OK thanks to you and your little walkabout I have added yanaka to an area that I must visit on my next trip!,
I was there by pure chance last time I was in Tokyo in November 2019 (that's also the last time I was able to go anywhere oversea, then the pandemic kicked-in); a most beatiful walk from Taito. That's a very unique place in Tokyo, thanks for bringing me back there with my memories.
Thank you for showing us the real Japanese culture! I am praying to visit and perhaps meet with you and Satoshi. God bless and stay safe
That was my favourite neighbourhood I visited last year. My last day in Japan and I discovered 'my place'. You're right, it doesn't feel like you're in a mega-metropolis.
I really liked this new video style and appreciated the higher quality video.
I remember watching a 1941 classic movie called "The 47 Ronin" which this Temple represents! Awesome Tour! I need to visit it next year if possible...
Nice walk! Like this video would SUPER love if you do a video going into that temple. Looked pretty interesting. Keep it up
i like the local neighborhood tour, the small alleyways and serene street
Loved this video. So relaxing and I really enjoy exploring all the little streets with you.
Thanks for the video, brings back memories. I bought a tea pot and a rice bowl in one of the stores back in 2018. Really nice and quiet area of Tokyo.
Hi Shinichi 36C is 96.8 F omg it is very hot and with the humidity it’s even hotter like in a steam bath.. I do appreciate you videoing in such hot weather.. yes I suggest you do keep well hydrated.. do take care.. I’m enjoying your postings Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Have a fantastic week .. 😊
I enjoyed this little of your town. Thank you, I'm impressed about the street are so clean and no trashes 😊 really nice.
Oh!! I get it now!! You are, while the video premieres, in the chat !? Oh whuooo, I do understand now why this "premiere" is, this is genious because you can even talk better with viewers! What a great idea.
Oh and btw thank you for showing us this treasure area. Tbh, even visiting Japan is my literally lifegoal, I'm kinda overwhelmed by Tokyo and always tend to skip it. But I want to visit Kabukiza (I looove to bingewatch Kabuki plays) so I was always a litte nervous to "face my demons" because I have to. But then seeing such beautiful alleys and cozy shopping streets, just to know there are such peacefull areas, calmes me down. Sights like this are absolute something on my bucketlist. I'm soo impressed how divers Tokyo is, woooow! I see many faces of Tokyo through you and it feels less like a big monster wants to eat me (haha sorry, I grew up rural, a area with a population over 1000 people feels like a city haha) Now I feel less overwhelmed or have less panic.
Hopefully one day I can order some Ume juice too there, and eat some homemade pickles, kinda addicted to it😅 thank you again ^^//
I will definitely come visit this area the next time I'm in town, hopefully 2021.
Much prefer this format. It’s easier to watch. Thank you 🙏 🙂
Hi ! Thankyou for your videos, really enjoy them. Im in Madrid, Spain an the weather today, August 10th. is 38ºC. Pretty much like in Tokyo.
I remember that every time I've visited Japan, the hotel I've been too was next to Yanaka Ginza. I've been many times to the deep fried store, I think I remember by heart the area.
Because those little alleyway shops don't look like a typical "western" shop, and because I can't read Japanese, I'd be afraid to open any of those doors in case it was just someones home 😂
Thankfully there is a google translate camera feature now 😊
I feel exactly the same.
Thank you for your vidéos it’s like travelling with you
I really enjoyed this walk around! And.. I'm so glad you finally got something to drink. I was getting thirsty just watching this. I'm about an hour south of NYC in the US and the temperatures have been brutal this summer. Many days over 32 degrees celsius ( 90 f )
I love old cemeteries! There is so much history there. The ones that are neglected are somewhat sad, but I love to see them well kept up. We have a family plot in my home town in California, and I go there to "visit." Friends from school and I tend each others' family plots when we return home, though none of us live there now. Sometimes I put flowers also on plots of people I grew up with.
