Love the channel. I’m at this point of running these push lock fittings also with my new tial. One thing recommended for Al 7M and JZ engines is to run oil relocation setup with cooler. Nice work and build and progress. Cheers!
I really like how easy they are to install, just make sure to do some sort of heat shielding if it's going to be very close to the manifold or turbo. I've already melted a line and it could have been bad. I agree as well with the oil cooler and relocation. That is currently in the works and I will be doing another video shortly.
Make sure you keep an eye on it and do use heat protection sleeves on these. Had friend use these for his wastegate lines and they melted (since so close to the heat source) which could have cause some severe overboosting. If you have your fuel cut still enabled, that might help if lines melt down the road. Keep up the good work! Car is looking good.
Yeah I had one already touch the manifold and melted. I already put a sleeve over the line so its now protected. I also rerouted the lines to stay away from the heat. Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it.
@turb0gate yeah I used some for my wastegates with the heat sleeve and they melted with that sleeve on it while it was on the dyno. I'm glad other issues came up that had to be resolved before getting into boost.
I hope you have better results.... I tried these and they melted from the under hood temps. And they were routed away from what I thought was clear.👍🏁🏁🏁
I would almost think that a reverse-vent would be better for the turbo cooling to draw air through from the usually pressurised engine bay. YakuzaJZ did a great vid on temperature t esting before and after vented hood and the reverse vents were really good for keeping the bay cool
Hey, so i have 3 piece spoiler in my garage ready to install on my non-turbo body. I'd love to see any tips you had to installing it, drilling the holes, etc. Keep it up brother.
Yeah I saw this on some other builds so I thought I'd give it a try. It's all held up really well. I had to wrap the one hose that comes off the wastegate with heat tape. I didn't have a turbo blanket at the time and all the heat was starting to melt the line. With the heat tape and turbo blanket, I haven't had any issues since.

Do you mind making a video explaining the vacuum lines routing on a stock 7M-GE non-turbo engine? I’ve been scouring the internet and forums with no luck; it’s either on a modded Supra (deletes and whatnot) or GTE variant.
@ronereaper5865 When I first put the lines in, I had one of the wastegate lines melt. I since fixed it and now it runs along the firewall away from the turbo and manifold. Haven't had any issues since. The hose I'm using I just got from amazon.
This is the exact kind of build I was planning to do A built 7mge swapped to mgte with a shitton of suspension and body work. But overall keeping that beautiful burgundy color. How do you achieve the reliability and power you do with the 7m? I’ve seen stuff online but all in all not much and I’m also a highschool kid so I don’t have too much high performance tuning knowledge
Anything is possible man! I actually started to work on mine just out of high school. I've been working on this car for years. A lot of people will hate on the 7m and say it is absolutely garbage. Unfortunately it's not a quick, easy, and inexpensive job but if you can replace that factory head gasket and toss in some ARP head studs it will be far more reliable. It requires machine work which can cost a decent amount. There are tons of options for upgrades, Unfortunately parts are getting harder to find. If I were you I'd save up some cash and get the internals and motor up to par so you have a good base to build off of.

Yeah I've already melted one. They seem like a great idea just can't tolerate a lot of heat. I may go back to braided lines with AN fittings

I will have to look into that. I'm getting ready to wrap the car soon and don't want the heat to ruin that too.
I’m thinking of doing this to a spare hood. Wouldn’t want to cut up one in good condition.

@marcozacarias1675 yeah I was going to do AN lines, but tried this first. Pretty easy to route the lines and can hold all the boost.
