You really need to pay attention to the blood percentage. Don’t bother with anything of low percentage unless you have nothing left. Otherwise only go after anything of a high percent. You will lose all of the benefits of the higher percent if you drink the lower percentage.
Yeah, has 76% Rogue and dumps it for 3% .. .. ..
For real it's so annoying !! Throwing away high percentages left and right 😭

When you pull up the map glock if you hover the mouse over location it will tell you what items you can find in that location
It's so nice once you get a roof on your castle and you can stop burning bones in that brazier during the day.
Refighting bosses is never a bad idea since they sometimes drop books to learn stuff other wise you grind scrolls. Later on you want kind of want to grind paper/scrolls to unlock the "Flooring" the floors allow you to section off castle rooms for dedicated crafts for faster and cheaper crafting. Saves soooo much fucking time it's crazy. Chests and cabinets in towns are also your best bet for loot I did a brutal play through and never had to craft glass because I looted so much from towns. If you open your map it shows you what you can expect to loot at each p.o.i.
One tip that makes things easier is with storage. When you place items in storage any of those items that already in your inventory is outlined green. Then you just do a Quick Send (E key by default) and those items will be moved without having to move them manually. Would be nice if they had an option to pull from your chests when crafting, but... the Quick Send lessons the grind a little.😅 Also in a pinch when you health is low grab some of those health orbs that pop up during a 'V Blood battle when available' if you can't get a moment to do a 'Blood Mend'.
If I can add a few tips. When an enemy is low on health and the feed icon appears, go ahead and feed and then click the feed action again. This will stop the feed and kill the enemy instantly. Quick way to kill an enemy while fighting multiple. Just be aware that there is a brief timer between feeds. Also, the number that shows up on the enemies when you highlight them, is the quality of their blood. Higher quality means more bonuses. There are different types of blood which give different bonuses. Last tip, use rats to make healing salves so you dont use up your blood pool.
Part of the game progression is improving your craft speeds. When you start researching you'll unlock flooring recipes. Check the work benches for the information at the top. If you hover over the icons it will tell you what you need for improving both the speed of the crafting and reducing the cost of materials. Each one will identify that it needs a specific room (meaning closed off by individual walls within the castle, and a flooring type to match). You can use door frames without a door to section off interior "rooms" in the castle and break up the flooring for unique areas, but the main rooms you'll want to focus on is workshop, forge, and alchemy lab for the first starting area of the map.

Heya Glock. What I've found in terms of the "flow" of the game is that as you're waiting for things to process, you go out exploring, find some shit to kill and then come back for your resources. Build, process, explore, return. Rinse and repeat. It feels good once you get bonuses like special floors as well. I'd love to see more since some of the bosses do crazier shit and get harder, but there's a good feeling of progression as well. So, I hope you're able to stick with this for a bit, and we get to see your designer skills as you expand and build.
agree, sitting around to wait for stuff to finish process isn't how I think they expect you to play. Go out, get some resources drop them in the processors then go out again while it's processing. The game is gigantic so there should be no shortage of things to farm for/fight while the grindy bits are happening.
Some tips:
* Always get the highest percent blood and hang onto it until it is almost gone. It gives you substantial bonuses depending on the type and percentage.
* Refining and crafting gets better once you unlock and place down the relevant flooring for that type of station. You also need it to be walled off around the flooring. For example, forge flooring will make your smelters create more per material, faster, for less materials in a lot of cases.
* Coffins are your respawn point. Also when you log off on a public server, your body stays in the game so it is a good idea to do it in your coffin because on a PVP server, that's the only place where other players cannot touch you. If you log off in the open, people can literally drag your body anywhere on the map and dump you after they rob and kill you.
I'm loving this. I love your 7DtD content, don't get me wrong! This though is another kind of awesome. I see a Glock video and I just click it, click like and watch and laugh. Great stuff!

Also you didn't miss the 2nd ability for your weapons, you didn't have one. Weapons gain their 2nd & 3rd ability as you improve their quality. Bone has 1, Copper 2 & Iron 3.

Hey Glock, glad to see you exploring V Rising! Couple of (unsolicited) tips:
Your Counter ability (on your C key) that makes you invulnerable and will cause an explosion when you get hit, you'll take no damage but everything around you will. What's NOT said is that countering like this will heal you a little bit, so it's a great skill for those telegraphed attacks.
The coffin in your castle is used to heal and does so without consuming your blood reserve! When you get a high % blood you want (like Rogue, Warrior, etc) this can be used to top off without reducing your pool. The Servant Coffin combines with the Enthrall ability to "tame" a nearly-dead humanoid, who you can bring back to defend your castle or you can send them out on timed missions for materials/loot (advice: adjust the mission completion time in settings unless you want like 24h+ real-time timers). Cages will house the humanoids you want to keep to repeatedly feed from, and typically you want to capture high % blood bearers for this.
Keeping some of the lowly scrubs around during tougher fights can be beneficial as when they get low health and have the option to Feed, you have a brief window of invulnerability when flying to the Feed target that can be used to dodge attacks and, if they don't have a blood type or % you want you can just outright execute them and keep your current blood pool.

Nice to see you play this gem of a game, I picked it back up as well after the Soulmask demo ended, currently going through ACT 3, so far it was a breeze since it's my maniest play trough, I have to say I REALLLY love the newest area they added.
Also, just a warning, I ran into a bug with the castle moving system, you basically have to build everything you built in your previous location (floors, refinement stuff, benches, storage, walls, etc.) and only then you can move the whole castle, unfortunately garden plants count as builds for some reason, but you can't build them from the build menu, so you basically cannot finish moving if you have a garden, so only build one, when you know you'll stay at that area and also if you want to move make sure you remove the garden first.
Also also, if you think resource crafting is slow wait until later, some of the later resources are even worse.
I think I ran into that. placed all my structures but still had stuff to place that I couldn't find in the build menu....and couldn't finish moving because of that.
Dont know if you have noticed but the number near npcs is their blood purity when u drink a higher blood gives u increased stats

This is a pretty fun game solo, I'd suggest maybe boosting resource gained/loot found by maybe 0.25-0.5x if you plan to fully play solo. Oh yeah, brutal mode is a lot of fun solo too, it would be a treat seeing you fight the tougher bosses on brutal.
Absolutely love this series and can't wait for more. Please PLEASE do more V Rising content. I know your thing is 7 days, but you've just got ... this way of making content awesome.
You probably figured this out by now but go for the highest blood percentage you can find. Hover over and it shows you percentage. The higher the better, just grab the type that suits the style you're going for (warrior, rogue are great choices for physical damage for example. Later you'll get scholar - guess what that's for...).
Overall, love your content, mate. Some of the best out there, IMHO, and you do it by just being yourself, which is a gift not to be underestimated. Keep at it mate. Your channel deserves to be big.
you can get grave dust from some cemetaries, you can see what areas have what loot by hovering in the map

A tip for anyone going after the Frost Archer. I clear the adds and then draw her into one of the tents. She is much easier to kill as it reduces her movement.
Glad you continued the game Glock, I have seen a walkthrough recently and it is such a great and in-depth game, despite all the grind. You can use the servants to do your biding while sending them to do quests, there are also special events where you can gather shards for ancient weapons etc..Its really nice and interesting, hope you continue.
This is a pretty cool game, and with you behind the wheel of it, its hella entertaining too. Would definitely like to see more.
Gems are used in making the merciless versions of the copper weapons and higher levels of gems can be used to make certain rings, necklaces. Also, don't forget to make a blood press to use those hearts in.
You're doing well. When you are attacking any units, you can only heal yourself in battle as much as the little black health bar is long.
I started playing this after watching your first video (take note, developers?). Pretty fun so far! It does suffer a bit from the classic Diablo-like "the enemies are incredibly dumb" syndrome, where I'm murdering bandits right next to a bunch of other bandits who're pretty much just ignoring me.

100%... I also removed the teleportation restriction. Instead of increasing the amount I harvest, I just increased the stack size. I still have to harvest a lot, but I can carry more so it's still fewer trips. I got this game after Glock's last vid on it. Been having a lot of fun so far. Definitely gets harder as you go.
Me and my friend started a no guns world in 7 days, it’s a lot of fun and challenging, you should try it

Edit: You probably didn't notice, but some skills or spells have extra functionality. For example, the spear thrust flurry can do an extra hit and knockback at the end if you press Q again right before the flurry ends. So read the descriptions and watch for 'recast'. And yes, you can modify crafting time. Either in the game ini or before you start the server
Early game grinding is a little tedious, but you can make as many machines as you want. But I just halved crafting time, and you can make it even faster if you want. You'll find whatever flow works best for you though. Keep playing, this game is great!
The grind gets way easier as you lvl, with a lot of the focus of grind shifting to camp raids, etc. Giving focus to gear upgrades and V-blood kills is the easiest way to progress and get to later game raid-style content.
Hey Glock, that was great. You can definitely turn up the crafting speed to near-instant. Good call with the teleporters, it gets too grindy for no reason otherwise (for SP at least).
The percentage of blood from enemies doesn't add up once you drink it, it replaces the percentage and type that you already have.
You can also hover over the blood orb in the middle to see what bonusesyou get.
I think perks unlock in increments of 25%
Hey Glock. If you look at your map (M) and the little circles that have camps, you can see what kind of loot you'll find there, like whetstones or grave dust. Saves heaps of time if you have nothing better to do than watch stone grind.

Grind is huge in this game, Glock. If you don't like grinding, or you want to move the series along faster, absolutely, increase the amount of resources harvested. And I *think* (though, I may be wrong, been a bit since I've been in game) you *can* decrease the amount of crafting time. Also, as @moonshock mentioned, you *really* need to pay attention to the blood type/percentage. A 2% archer is absolutely nothing compared to 80% beast, for example. Those benefits are what will determine whether you succeed or fail in this game. Don't eat everything, be selective.

My first playthrough I played 100% stock standard. Did for the first half of 1.0 as well, but quickly got to the point where the grind was making the game less fun. So, increased stack size, harvest, and craft time, as well as teleport with resources, made the game far more enjoyable for me. Definitely recommend a few tweaks to settings, especially solo.
If you build a crafting station within a walled castle that has a roof as well.As giving it the proper floor it will get fifty percent faster. You can also find spots on the map to get things like wet stones and paper which are a great source of research. The recipe for grave dust is unlocked after defeating one of the v blood bosses, as well as the wetstone recipe. As for the teleportation setting you only have certain items that can't be teleported with
There is a setting that you can increase to lower the time it takes to refine materials, additionally, if you look at the top of the refinement stations, they detail what type of floor to put under them to lower crafting time and decrease resource requirements. Its important to note with that though, each refiner of a type (IE the forge and workstation both use forge flooring) has to be in its own room with the correct flooring.

fyi - don't turn any fish you get into oil using the blood press, there's a much better use for fish later

Its usually worth it turning the processes speed and resource collection up to 1.5 or 2 since it is balanced for server at defaults, it does not change the gameplay just reduces your downtime and removes some of the artificial time sink. there still will be 50+ episodes of content if you go thru the upgrades and follow the progression tree
It sounds like the coffin is a place where u respawn at if u die
yep you can choose to respawn there or one of the teleporter locations. it's handy if you come back home and your health is low as it will heal you without wasting blood or a potion
The moving castle is pretty cool
If you are playing a solo world you will DEFINITELY want to decrease refining time on things. You can adjust it in the server settlings. Now since you started, instead of hitting "Continue" go do the load game option, click on your save filed and there will be an option to adjust settings however you want.
Oh and now that you are getting armor, something they added is that you can either show the armor, make it invis on your character or change the colors to some presets, which is a REALLY nice addition as of 1.0.
The game was really made for PvP, so that is why you cant take all resources through the TPs. They want you to encounter rival vamps on the roads. The servants will help with harvesting, but you have to outfit them and raise their gear level too for the areas further in the story.

the coffin is important in multiplayer mode because it is where you respawn after you die. it is similar the to rust game where the sleeping bag is your respawn point, and the bed is an upgrade to the bag that has shorter cooldown time than the sleeping bags. And the stone coffin is an upgrade from wooden one
Definitely turn up the harvest % and the crafting speed for single player.

you had quite good blood percentage, 76, and then you were frail all of a sudden :p.
every enemy has a blood percentage which shows how good the blood is, the more you have the better bonuses, you can hover over the blood pool to see the bonuses, different types of enemies give sloghtly different bonuses.
when uou hover over an enemy it says the percentage and the type, when the feed button shows when the enemy is low it also says the percentage, make sure not to overwrite good blood with bad blood, if youre feeding on bad blood just press left click and it will kill them and you wont take the blood.
you may have figured that out by now, but no harm just in case.
i hope you continue this sries through, this gane has a lot of progression and mechanics that i fijd really satusfying, it keeps it pretty fresh.

There are different types of floors/tiles, each floor/tile boosts the speed of crafting/research machines.
servents are handy sometimes, they do feel like they need way better gear than you would need to be able to get resources for you, but if you put the time in they can be useful
Few things G9. Ramp up the crafting time. It'll help end game. And each boss will unlock new recipes. Keep an eye on that. So you won't need to buy it all. Just a little research will help you out tons !!
You CAN speed up the crafting time, up to 6 times. Its in the advanced settings. You need to do it soon. Iron takes 1minute and 30 seconds PER BAR to craft. Unless you wanna wait 2 hours to craft a smithy later, you're going to need to up the craft speed.
Gave dust you get the skill by killing one of the three bosses you can make graves and farm the skeletons. The wooden coffin is for only outside the stone one you can use inside your castle and is mostly for a server stuff it keeps you safe from the sun light if you have to afk or something. It will also slow you blood drain while you are in it but you wont need to worry about it since you are doing a solo game.

Oh man, I really wish you attempted this on brutal difficulty
The game is focused pretty heavily with pvp in mind so the teleporting with items thing is mainly for pvp servers. adds to the risk of a loot run when you go too far from your base and have to travel all the way back. In pve servers its typically turned off like you have it.

I frogot this game existed, it's fun game but it is balanced for co-op so it is pain to get anything done later on.
Also pay atention to blood quality %, high quality blood can easly double or even triple your firepower, especialy rogues give outrageus damage buffs.
Hover over icon under blood tank to see buffs you get from it.
Later on it becomes super important to find and capture 100% quality prisoners.
Coffin is your respawn point, you want it uness you like to run home all they way from the gate each time you log in or die.
Game opens up (quite literaly) in the second zone where you fully unlock bunch of core mechanics, and get murdered a lot by stinky pessants with garlick.
When are they adding the cornmeal?
You don't have to change the blood every time you start sucking it 😬😅 Just left click, then you kill them and keeps the higher % blood!! 👍🏼

The servants will go out and fetch things for you, but you’ve got to process it yourself. Unfortunately grinding is a big part of this game. It’s a great game tho.
Relocating your castle doesn't move it as is, you have to replace all the pieces, it doesn't cost any new resources, but you have to put all the pieces back down individually.
The coffin is a respawn point and is more relevant in multiplayer because apparently on servers people can move you're body around if you don't go to sleep in your coffin before you leave.

you probably didn't have the Q attack until you made the copper weapons. higher tier weapons will open up additional special attacks.
the coffins are for multiplayer. you character is persistent when offline so you go in when you log out.

It makes the tables and machines work faster and use less materials which gives you more finished products. ** 1 Important thing to remember is just don't drink every enemy you see. Each Blood type will provides a Bonus to your character. The Higher percentage of blood, the more bonus you get. Later on you will be able to capture enemies and lock them in your dungeon to drink when you need blood Muhahahaha....
