Oh man, this tutorial is really awesome! So much information compressed into 20 minutes, but very easy to follow and just straight-forward. That's the way I'm missing from some other youtube tutorials nowadays. You just get to the point, saying "make this and that" and it's so easy to follow your instructions. Not even a breeze of tediousness. Thank you for this tutorial Jake, keep up the good work!
Hi Jake, a small set of drawings explaining the deployment in the first 5mns of this video would have been great. I think I understand the individual bits, but I'm not sure I fully get how it will work. Thx for all the stellar videos though!
Thanks for this EXCELLENT series! Now that cluster and application management services in Docker Cloud have been shut down, could you please do a tutorial on Kubernetes (or of whatever other product you migrated over to)?
Jake, great tutorials, simple explanations (y)...but please think of us non native watchers, I don't manage to pause when needed how fast are u working lol, great job mate!
I'm new to this channel but can already tell that moments like 8:08 are part of the reason why it's so popular. Even for experienced developers, when you follow well-edited dev tutorials like this that go straight to the point you can miss details very easily, so his taking the time to explain why the reference to the "www" folder changed between the compose YML and the service Dockerfile was a very nice touch. I've spent hours in frustration trying to debug little things like that.
Hey Jake u r videos on docker are helped me a lot to learn and to show interest on docker. Hey of possible can u do similar few videos on kubernities too
Really really really awesome!! Doooode u must make more of these ... you can make complex stuff simple ... Thanx a bunch and plz keep up the great work!!
Hey, totally unrelated to docker images but what made you choose Cambridge computer science over Oxford? I get that people bug you about it all the time and I'm sorry, it's around the time of year everyone gets offers from unis
Hi Jake, thanks for the great tutorial ! Now the docker hub and docker cloud are integrated im not able to follow along. Any reference to follow along ?
Can you do a tutorial on Kubernetes? I think it would be a hit because your explanation and demonstration is on point and I would love to learn more about these new trends. As a student I really appreciate your contents. Thanks!
Awesome! I learned alot about docker with your 3 videos. Watching demonstration is really a way to learn about techs. Is docker cloud only a way to orchestrate all parts that makes automation build works and connect to different services?
It seems that Docker Cloud may have changed quite a bit since this was released. I can't seem to find where it is now (or if it even exists in this form anymore). Did it go away or am I blind?
I watched this tutorial and was excited to try Docker Cloud, but it looks like they may have gotten rid of it and just redirected users to Docker Hub. Am I missing something?
@@jakewrightnet Any chance of an updated version that shows exactly the same thing but without Docker Cloud? Or any suggestion of a Docker Cloud alternative?
How would you go about launching a website that also needs a database? Or do we not run the database in a container ourselves and instead use some other way?
Watching this now, I have this nagging question - how does this relate to kubernetes, GCP, AWS etc. So whilst trying to follow along I can't place what he's doing in context.
I did not quite get the part about Digital Ocean. Is it necessary to create an account in Digital Ocean? Or does Docker Cloud send my credit card details to Digital Ocean and Digital Ocean charges my card?
You need to create a Digital Ocean account and add payment details there, you then link that account to Docker Cloud. All Docker Cloud does is create "droplets" in your Digital Ocean account - no sharing of card details.
Great Tutorial. That is pretty much everything you need to know to create a public WebService. I noticed that you didn't secure your API though. I know it wasn't exposed publicly via a port, but maybe you could describe how to use oauth or something similar to secure both the API and the Website.
this tut would have been awesome without the cloud option. Just how to simply build, tag and push to hub.docker.com and the pull that image and run it on a VPS or something
I am blown away by this tutorial. crystal clear, concise and straight to the point.

Cool to see you still making diverse content Jake!
Thank you very much for this tutorial.
It clarified a lot of things for me.
Finally I could connect the dots
Thanks for this EXCELLENT series! Now that cluster and application management services in Docker Cloud have been shut down, could you please do a tutorial on Kubernetes (or of whatever other product you migrated over to)?
Fantastic. All three videos in this series are invaluable. Best resource found so far, thank you.

thanks for all your docker vids - one on how you run multiple websites on one node with haproxy would be really cool
I've never gain so much in such a short time. Thanks a lot!
Thanks, jake. I'm not at that level yet and I prefer wasting resources and using a VMware for my projects. I've got a
Amazing tutorial. I'm interested to learn more about how you set up haproxy to conditionally route requests to different containers.
You the OG Cambridge blogger bro! Big shoes to fill!

Your tutorials are awesome! I learned so much from you in such a short time. Thank you!
Thanks for this Jake, it helped me understand the concepts
I missed ya, it got quite boring after you left college because I simply loved your vlogs, but I'll be always here. #notificationsquad
You should also make some video on docker with kubernetes.. we are waiting
You know how to explain. A git tutorial would be appreciated, or any other tutorial for that matter.
Didn't understand a word. "Liked' anyway because Jake Wright. :)
Great and nice tutorials

and now docker-cloud is soon going to be discontinued :(

kubernetes is another good one
It seems that Docker Cloud may have changed quite a bit since this was released. I can't seem to find where it is now (or if it even exists in this form anymore). Did it go away or am I blind?
Great Content ! Please provide a git tutorial as well as Jenkins.
Jake, you are my hero!
great video Jake. Thanks.
6:35 Github provides free private repos now, right?
You didn't put Expose 80 in dockerfile of website so how come it worked? Is -p enough to do the same thing?
This is too good!
cloud.docker.com redirects to hub.docker.com. Do they still provide this service?
I watched this tutorial and was excited to try Docker Cloud, but it looks like they may have gotten rid of it and just redirected users to Docker Hub. Am I missing something?
Same here. It looks the service was closed last year: success.docker.com/article/cloud-migration
Yeah they shut it down unfortunately :(
@@jakewrightnet Any chance of an updated version that shows exactly the same thing but without Docker Cloud? Or any suggestion of a Docker Cloud alternative?
Thanx for the tutorial. Do you have one that explains how to use Docker (and Compose) everyday in development environment?
I'm learning to code. Looking forward to your code courses on Udemy.
Wonderful, Excellent keep it up.
Hey Jake, how do you get your overhead shots? Can you show us in a video?
Great video, trying to use hyperledger blockchain framework and tools to deploy my network from docker
Bring back vlogs, please
Loved it and would be interested in a git tutorial vid
Hi Jake, I am new to the development world. Could you do 12min Git and Github? Thks
Yes please do Git tutorial
You sound like an AB DeVilliers!!!
You are amazing!
Which ports do you use in your php service?
It is difficult to follow outdated version with current one
How would you go about launching a website that also needs a database? Or do we not run the database in a container ourselves and instead use some other way?
Private repos is free aswell on github now
Great job.
GIT tutorial please!
Finally a worthy opponent
Why do you need to create a the Node Cluster "tutorial"? I never saw you use that after you created.
nice tutorial
Watching this now, I have this nagging question - how does this relate to kubernetes, GCP, AWS etc. So whilst trying to follow along I can't place what he's doing in context.
Awesome tutorial
Very nice tutorial
What is the right way to retrieve information from another micro service in Php? What function should I use?
I think you need to learn cURL which is a library to make HTTP requests
Great work 👍 any plans into doing one for Kubernetes?
meanwhile I found this one ruclips.net/video/PH-2FfFD2PU/видео.html
does docker cloud exist today? its redirecting to docker hub.
What is this depends_on do? Does it allow to not run 2nd container if 1st one not available or what? 15:06
Is this like MVC architecture
Jake you are awesome
Awesome !!
19:54 So you mean on the first container which you pay 5$ per month you use it to deploy multiples websites and only pay 5$ per month?
You say beata for Beta instead of bayta. Is this a UK thing?
Git tutorial please

Would like to see a GIT tutorial... thanks for the video
Where is docker cloud today ? It seems it is dead :(
U a god

Please make a video on how to setup HAProxy and letsencrypt!:)
what a strange vlog format
this tut would have been awesome without the cloud option. Just how to simply build, tag and push to hub.docker.com and the pull that image and run it on a VPS or something
Hi Jake, I've mailed you. It'd be really kind if you could have a look.
Hey can you make video on bootstrap
