Okay now that is legitimately awesome. Poor YCMA-bolt in the background doesn't sound so great anymore, sad they're just letting it go as it is. Speaking of letting them go, it's interesting that they actually ran them for a full cycle this time instead of shutting them down after a minute or so.
***** I'd say it was still worthwhile. I don't recall ever seeing that kind of perspective done before, especially not with two sirens almost in the same frame like that.
+murrfarms yeah sadly to say Lincoln has pretty giving up on our t-bolts. The one at Northeast high school is getting bad too. However at least they don't scrap them out like some places do, our older sirens get refurbished and sent to other places that need them so, I guess it could be worse....The 1003 still sound healthy though.
+Tyler Shaw oh was it already? when did they do that? I wasnt aware it had already been replaced. Havnt really been over to that part of Lincoln for quiet awhile.
+Tyler Shaw I kinda figured, seems how they tell the sirens apart. I noticed that one went off a little sooner, then they other. Id figured you probably know more about our system then I do so by chance is that just the radio delay or are the university sirens activated sperately?
+umbrefawx I'm pretty sure that they are on the same set of activation tones. My guess is that the sound from one took longer to get to me because it's further away.
+Tyler Shaw ah alright. I kinda figured it was just radio delay but I wasn't sure cause ive come across some places where universities will test theirs separately.
This shot is absolutely stunning!!
That satisfying sound of when a 2001 faces you when activated on alert

+murrfarms I know. Now I kinda wish I would have gone to a Thunderbolt or something. Oh well, it's a unique perspective.

In the background I hear a simplex fire alarm voice evac message... It's for the weather since The sirens are going off.
Does the buildings voice evacuation system go off every time the sirens sound, is it automatic?
+JMAN123436 They test it at the same time as the siren test but it's not automatic.

The distance 2001 in attack is one of the sirens UNL owns, right?
+umbrefawx yep

Did went off for a severe thunderstorm warning or tornado warning
monthly test
Nice job!
I tried to get Wesleyan Universities STH-10 for the test but for some reason it didn't go off. :/

What's that oscillating tone before the siren starts?
+✈ SamNetwork ✈ Siren activation tones on my scanner
Ahh, so you know when it will sound off?
Sure
@@SamNetworkYT Those tones contain codes which are radio transmitted which activates the sirens.
Is siren is super loud
Yes
