I've been playing it with friends, liking it a lot more than the previous update, but it gets repetitive quick and the desync is horrid.

@@OlafPawbelt esports have been on a decline for years, viewership is down, bunch of orgs have shut down, lots of companies pulling out of competitive gaming.

Only because a few companies pulling out etc it doesent mean it's dying, so like i said you don't know what you talking about. @@xRaptorScreamx Editing software is weird sometimes. What looks good initially ends up having a weird error you don't expect in the finished product.
I’m glad I’m not the only one that was weirded out.
It was edited just fine, but the clip used was offline when rendering. Editor most likely didn't double check before the final render.

tarkov arena is a social expriement designed to see how bad you can make netcode whilst still having people play your game.
Dare I say make it like a CoD multiplayer progression system. Don’t need to reinvent the wheel. Keep it simple
Yes, learning from AOE3, the studio tried to invent too many things, sometimes new inventions hinder gameplay

Yes. I do still find some enjoyment in the game, but the de-sync is incredibly bad some matches and really frustrating. The ammo is horrid, like shooting paintballs sometimes. And I hate the team color switching, just make it so your team also shows as blue and enemy is always red.

I swear that every interaction in this game is a role of the dice on who gets 3 to 5 more seconds to react than the other.
2:27 I've told people and they disagree with me. But I believe the messed up the helmets and face covers some how. I know the ammo is trash but head coverings seem to be stopping everything. Like that time stamp where a level two armor stops an intermediate cartridge. This isn't supposed to be possible level 2 isnt rated for it.
I think there's gotta be a disconnect between players. There's been so many times i get killed as soon as i peek. Then i watch the kill cam and see something completely different from what i did.

Just started playing arena for my first time ever , since I had EOD so I decided it was time and I've experienced most of these same issues. It is frustrating, almost wanted to uninstall it.
Arena has some scuffed inconsistencies with Tarkov. Ammo feels like it has less pen and damage than Tarkov, and the weapons have more recoil. Shoot a base pistol in Tarkov versus the ones in Arena and you'll easily see it. Also the pen and damage can't be right because that flechette shotgun Jesse was using from the Murka preset has a really hard time killing people sometimes, when for most part other presets are wearing class II-III armor with half durability. Something definitely isn't right.
Arena will feel like fresh wipe Tarkov recoil because you don't have any skills leveled up in comparison. Do keep that in mind.
Hello Jesse, just wanted to say that Arena reminds me of the predecessor of EFT, Contract Wars. Some maps of Arena are similar to the Maps on CW (like bay 5, bay 7). Have a look in CW it was a goated game.
Ngl, all of Tarkov shotguns have felt really bad lately I had a GPU and the dark green stim for samples on a scav run. Ran into and shot a PMC 3 times in his head (because it was the only thing I could see behind a forklift) and got smacked down by a 5-7. hit count on death screen confirmed 3 hits for 27 damage with 35 absorbed by armor. He was wearing a ratnik.

I feel like them removing the ability to pen through limbs has made it worse also Murka is like the lowest gear score yet is OP xD
Ive played more than i did prewipe. The ttk on the tier 1 stuff is WILD. Settled on shotguns amd have been doing good. I hated it before i found the shotguns
That's because shotgun class is basically unkillable. Takes like 2 or 3 people to take one shotgun guy out

Isnt the old armor mechanics in arena? It just doesnt make since why they would keep it and it shows that it isnt good for pvp and bsg sees that
I got a free trail code of arena and when i played it I felt like my shots where not hitting anything. Now i know they where not hitting anything.

I just brought this. Didn’t know about all this stuff, couldn’t even find a game on any mode either: me and my friend are going to be pushing for a refund. Considering we can’t even play it, and half the time it doesn’t even launch.
Their TOS doesn’t mean anything. They can’t stop us from getting refunds from this type of broken crap

Arena is a shitshow, the weapons feel shitty. You get desynced all the time and shoulder shots in the killcam counts as headshots, you always need to hol 20 angles at the same time so its often a coinflip if you see the enemy first or if he does
After the wipe, ton the first Patch it was insane Fun.. after the Patch, no one get down, even not with 18 hits.... I stopt playing.

This video makes me so happy that I have never installed Arena, and won't be.
I say arena has another year of development time before I go back to it. I did enjoy my time in it (about 200 hours) but it has A LOT of work to be a main game for me.
The Desync in Arena is out of control which basically destroyed the only reason why I was still playing it. The combat feels like shit now. And being since EFT has had the same problem for years and they've done nothing to fix it, I don't see arena getting fixed probably ever so, dead game. Unfortunately
It’s amazing how much arena shows off how terrible Tarkov’s net code is. I think it’s worse because you’re dying again and again and again quickly.

Tried to play it just after release. Spent over 2 hours queuing to get into a game with the timer always running out before a 5th joined the 4 already waiting on my team.
Got tired of the endless cycle of waiting, back to main screen, enter lobby, waiting etc and never went back to it. Tbh, from evevrything ive seen, it's garbage and the fact BSG have the balls to charge money for it is embarrassing for them
Yeah, the desync in this game is godawful. It's like playing Call of Duty, but with internet speeds a quarter of what I actually have now. 1 in 2 deaths is either a dude rounding a corner and doming me before I see him, or getting mag dumped and dying after getting behind hard cover (while registering in the middle of an open field on their end).
Also, they seriously need to fix the inability to enter/leave prone position while reloading/healing. That shit is GARBAGE and makes no logical sense
There is really only one thing that matters for a competitive FPS. Hit detection. You have to have accurate hit detection without desync. Tarkov fails at this miserably.

I finally tried playing it this week. It is whack and very inconsistent.
LIKE 300MS of desync, minimum all times.
the only reason i play arena is because it has kill cam when you die. if they just added this to regular tarkov and let you see the kill cam after the raid ends for everyone I'd play regular again. The cheating problem is too out of control in og tarkov and I feel like arena has much less of that
I believe in Arena. I am having fun with it despite the audio issues and the occasional bugs. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I do see myself play this for a while despite the cheaters.
I think we wasted a total of 45 minutes to play less than 3-4 matches. Not waiting for people with toasters to complete the loading when I'm done in under a minute with a sub-par system.
BSG have not been cooking with arena, still the same boring grind, the ranking is still impossible when your not 5-stacking, desync is crazy, etc.
Maybe some people like how Arena plays, but I don't. I'm just hoping that Arena gets better gamemodes and 1v1, 2v2, etc. gamemodes so that I can actually get to a higher rank...

I've played a tiny bit Arena since wipe...BS preset system, small maps with desync' heaven...Tarkov isn't in better shape, It has never run that bad on my PC...
I left this game because of the network issues. Even when they were 'fixed' they weren't. I felt like 50% of the time I was dying because of the game's bad code and not because the other player was better. In CS you do not get the feeling that the game is killing you (cs has its own problems but this isn't one of them).

Its not just arena, Base game has been very unenjoyable too. The recoil change just made the game more campy than ever. 90% of the time, if you move you die from someone somewhere you didnt even see who has been sitting there for 15 minutes straight. The recoil change made the game all around feel worse IMO. I preferred it the other way. Unpopular opinion.
Tarkov arena exposes the shit netcode that eft has. Wanna wait 15 minutes in queue for that?
Tier system is trash, new armor system sucks, preset changes and nerfs are terrible. BSG has no clue what they're doing
