    USES FOR COCONUT OIL
    1. Oil Pulling: I use this as an extra step for fresh breath. This is NOT a replacement for brushing and flossing. Right when I wake up, I mix virgin unrefined coconut oil with Healthy Gum Drops by Living Libations. After swishing it around for 20 minutes while I get ready in the morning, I spit out the coconut oil (where it won't clog my drain) and use a homemade saltwater rinse. Check with your dentist before trying this method, especially if you have issues with your gums.
    2. Coconut Oil + Sea Salt Scrub: I mix 1 part coconut oil with 2 parts sea salt and add a few drops of essential oil or whatever I have on hand to make it smell nice and add to the experience. In this video, I used Seabuckthorn Best Skin Ever by Living Libations (this video is not sponsored, I just like their products). Use the concoction to thoroughly scrub your body then sit down in a nice warm bath and enjoy your soak!
    3. Skin Soother: I like to use coconut oil as an aftershave to avoid razor bumps and inflammation, I also try to wear clothes that won't rub up against the area and irritate it. I also use it on cuts and sunburns. We got video of Terry's actual cut from the bed but decided against using it because it was gross :P.
    4. Leave-In Conditioner: I mix a small amount of coconut oil with a bit of conditioner and use it as a leave-in conditioner on the tips of my hair. Don't use too much because it can feel greasy. I try not to wash the end of my hair because they're very prone to drying out, but when I have to, I mix my shampoo with a bit of coconut oil just for the ends.
    5. Coconut Coffee: Terry likes his coffee bullet-proof style with a teaspoon of coconut oil and a teaspoon of grass-fed butter. I like mine with a teaspoon of coconut oil and a teaspoon of honey for sweetness. I like drinking my coffee black, but it's too acidic and strong for me, especially when I'm on an empty stomach.
    6. Boobie Oil: If your cotton bras are sucking all of the moisture out of your boobs, try throwing some coconut oil on there! Coconut oil is also a great massage oil.
    7. Serum Sealer: I use coconut oil to seal all of my skincare after a good exfoliation, cleanse and serum application. It has a low SPF of about 4, so on days where I'm inside and don't want to put a ton of stuff on my face, I can feel a little bit protected. If I'm going outside, I'll use sunscreen or wear a hat instead :P. Make sure you do a patch test, because coconut oil agrees wholeheartedly with my skin, but it does not have that same impact on others. I feel like this method has also helped my eyelashes grow as long as they are right now!
    8. Personal Lubricant: Incase you need some, coconut oil won't harm your natural flora which can lead to all sorts of discomfort. Make sure the oil meshes well with anything else you may be using and doesn't cause it to break down; latex, polyisoprene, and cheap rubber do not go well with coconut oil.
    9. Cooking: I use coconut oil as a butter replacement, as a stir-fry oil with lemon and cilantro, to grease baking sheets, and even as a fat in salad dressing or smoothies.
    10. Sticker Gunk Remover: I mix equal parts baking soda and coconut oil, throw it on the gunk and let it sit for 15-20 minutes, then use it as a little scrub to get sticker residue off.
    Hope you guys enjoyed this video, and thanks for reading the description box! Make sure you let me know what you like to do with coconut oil!

    Important thing about using it as a lubricant, condoms are not compatible with oil based products so if you're using condoms to prevent sti's and pregnancy do not use coconut oil as lube!

    • @FinsternisSan
      @FinsternisSan 9 лет назад +3

      Yes! It's also important to not use it with your silicone sex toys or menstrual cups because it may cause deterioration so research a ton if you are going to use it in conjunction with that! If you're using sex toys that are cheap/low grade it's best to throw those out as well because they can trap bacteria which is not good for any hole you're putting them in at all and coconut oil or any lubricant will not help with it at all. They also are not regulated so who knows what you're putting in your body in that regards. If you can't invest in a good sex toy please use a condom and change with every use, it won't protect you from the nasty stuff that is in novelty sex toys 100% but it will keep some of it out.

    • @lucidity_world
      @lucidity_world 9 лет назад

      Malika Bala Is that not just petroleum based oils? I'm not sure but I think it is. Anyone?

    • @FinsternisSan
      @FinsternisSan 9 лет назад +2

      Puja Singh It includes all oils. All oils including coconut oil, massage oil, baby oil, and any other oil will break condoms. I have a few friends who teach sex education and it is absolutely not recommended at all to use with condoms or low grade sex toys. As per usual always talk to your nurse or GP if you are going to introduce coconut oil into any of your holes.

      Thats what i thought when i started coconut oil pulling. ITS FUCKING HARD but youll start getting used to it. If you swallow it youre swallowing the bacteria the coconut oil is removing so if that can stop you from swallowing it then yay.

      +Jennifer McFarlane if you cant swirl it around your mouth for 20 mins try starting with 5 mins then 10 and work your way up. Make sure its only 20 mins so you wont end up swallowing it and try to not add saliva to the coconut oil in ur mouth cuz then itll build up and u wont be able to swirl or contain the match liquid in your mouth plus youll look like a baboon. Spit it out in the bin wen ur done since itll clog up drains wen u spit in toilet or sink. I reccomend to do some research before trying it out.

      Ana Salinas Black seed oil does smooth out the skin a bit by creating micro caterpillars for better blood flow. There is no magic cure for stretch marks. You can burn your skin with chemicals or lasers, paint them over with tattoos, or just accept the state of things and smooth out the surrounding skin.

Major points for not being too technically heavy, your personality flows wonderfully because you have a good deal of personal experience and your personality is quite charismatic, broad range of uses, you pack a lot of words in a small amount of time without sounding rushed and it was fun. Kudos for covering the more "sensitive" topics with, in my opinion, the right amount of tact, information and openness. Your obvious physical beauty not to be undersold.... You rock lady!

      ***** try using warmish/hot water to rinse the oil and warm it up a little, then instead of shampoo invest in a cleansing conditioner. for some reason i tend to get the coconut oil out of my hair a lot more easily when use a co-wash instead of shampoo. if you're having trouble finding a good cleansing cream/conditioner or co-wash, i really recommend renpure's cleansing conditioner!! if you use it in place of shampoo often, your hair tends to grow more resistant to sebum and your hair can last longer between washes without getting greasy :)

      Use dish soap to it out THEN shampoo it. One time for a school project we were making masks so we needed to put Vaseline on out eyelashes, eyebrows and hairline. Shampoo WOULD NOT get it out but dish soap got it out in a matter of seconds

      +theepickitty I would not put dish soap on my hair! I feel like that defeats the purpose of putting coconut oil in the first place. Just my opinion...

    Been taking coconut oil for a week now. My craving for sugar is gone, my appetite has been suppressed. I simply have no interest in junk food anymore or even having peanut butter with my apple. I can't explain it. I get full very quick and am eating half of what I used to eat in a day. I have hypothyroidism which is what interested me in coconut oil. An amazing transformation. I just can't believe what the oil of a fruit does to your body. Amazing

      Andrea Vanessa thanks! so do you have like exact measurements of all the ingredients you use?

    • @krassimirastefanova1510
      @krassimirastefanova1510 9 лет назад +1

      I use, let's say 1 tablespoon coconut oil and 1 tablespoon bakind soda, if you're in a warmer climate you can add tapioca powder or corn starch to thicken it up. Now it is getting hotter it is very runny but when you put it in the fridge it becomes hard quickly and you can't really use it.

    • @krassimirastefanova1510
      @krassimirastefanova1510 9 лет назад +3

      I can't say exactly how long it lasts but maybe about one to two months. The coconut oil is antibacterial and also smells nice, and the baking soda absorbs the odor

    I have been an advocate for several years. Coconut oil helps control symptoms of several illnesses including Alzhiemers (repairs the myelan sheath) and diabetes (helps control blood sugar). You can find an extensive list of illnesses helped by coconut oil in a book called 'Coconut Cures', written by the head of the Coconut Research Center - a PhD Nutritionist. Last I checked, you can read some chapters on-line for free. (Google 'Coconut Oil & your illness' - you might find something) I use coconut oil to condition my leather car seats, and leather shoes. It also adds water proofing protection. I have used it on the plastic and vinyl surfaces of my car as well, and like the results. I use it to condition furniture that does not have a urethane or varnish finish; furniture that has just been stained. Makes furniture look really good! A lot of antique furnuture does not have a coating on it. A really nice advantage of using coconut oil versus alternative treatments for leather and wood is that it does not stain, so will not soil clothing, so you don't have to worry about sitting on that freshly treated car seat, or accidently rubbing against freshly oiled furniture. Coconut oil is the only thing I have found that takes the itch out of a mosquito bite.

    Lots of people (myself included) with hairless cats have been using coconut oil for years to wipe them down between water and soap baths. It keeps them clean while not removing natural oils like soap does. They can also lick the remnants off their skin without getting sick.

    Coconut oil, sunflower oil, cocoa butter, brown sugar scrub....smells like and tastes like milk chocolate. You might eat most of it. I use it to exfoliate my face.
    Coconut oil and coffee grinds for a body scrub. Coffee is good for the face...tightens the skin. Great for cellulite as well.
