I remember one time an old white guy pulled me aside and asked if I was Hmong. I told him yes. He said I just want to thank you- your people saved me during the Vietnam War. He said a lot of Hmong soldiers (barely trained) were sent to retrieved lost American soldiers in the jungles. Said Hmong people were one of the best fighters he knew. They were quick and smart and even though they were usually outnumbered, would find a way to will through. So even though our contribution isn't officially recognized by the American Government, just know that the soldiers who fought do know our sacrifices.
1 great story was told where america lied and used 200,000 hmong to fight the war america started against 20 million viet-cong and pat lao.

My uncle is always getting beat up and beating up others and hanging out with the wrong people. I still didn’t understand... but now that I have listen to this... I finally understand... when he said to protect us ... he meant to protect our Hmong people... because our block was full of Hmong people (Fresno) Black folks, Mexicans, and Others always bullying the weak (us) trying to take over our block... forcing us to leave... I finally understand... he his now gone due to a drive by, by them black folks.. Fly high Uncle I love you man❤️

I am a black American Woman and I can't stand how my own race act towards their own race, family even other people. I am highly angry about that because that makes me look bad. I love hmong males and I love their voice when they sing about positive stuff. It's very sad to hear and read what hmongs had to go thru and probably still is going thru crap. I always wanted and still would love to be with a hmong male to this day. I would love to know how to speak and write their language. Ever since a long time ago up until this time, us Hmong have always used all our strength to escape war.
Because of the fact that 40 years ago the Americans arrived and asked us to use our strength and energy to fight with them in the war.
If we did, they would pull us each one by one to lead and become leaders.
Because of the fact that us Hmong were poor and wanting,
the oldest,
the youngest,
the smartest,
the dumbest carried their own guns.
On day 1, [they] went to the fields to practice (test) their guns.
Shots, loud [imitating gun sounds]…???...so loud like they’ve never heard before, [their] ears became deaf.
[They] learned (practiced) for one weekend and [they] actually became good and could shoot straight.
The Americans said, “Wake up early tomorrow and prepare to go fight the enemy.”
When [they] reached [returned] home, [their] mothers and fathers had already prepared offerings and chickens to speak blessings and tie hands [with white strings].
They said, “Son, if you disappear because of the ways of war and destruction, please know and remember that your place of sleep and your house [home], it will still remain right here.
If [we] don’t see you return, just show up in our dreams and that will suffice (be enough), ok?”
The ones that had wife and children, they said, “Dear Mai Paj, please don’t stay and wait for me anymore, ok? Because at this time,…???...about to go with (Leader) General Vang Pao to fight the war.
[I] don’t know if in this lifetime [I] will have the luck/fate to return and be with you (by your side).
If you stay to wait and don’t see me return, take the children and you all run [away], ok?”
In the time of war and destruction, …???...it was in fact (difficult?) ….So many of us Hmong did die but [when] we killed the enemy, we killed the most.
Because of the fact that the Americans fought and couldn’t (didn’t) win, they dropped (everything) and flew (away) and just left us Hmong behind for the enemy to kill, [they] almost killed us all.
Therefore we took heart (courage) to cross the Mekong River.
In Thailand, we followed General Vang Pao so we could reach the land of America.
Therefore, we did arrive.
Back when we first arrived, [we] did help and love [each other], smiling (laughing) every day and (playing) ball every day.
Because of the fact that black people started trouble, us Hmong started a gang to beat up (take vengeance on) blacks, Hispanics, and whites.
That gang had a name called Peace MOD.
Don’t know why afterwards, it broke up into three groups: so there was Ruthless, so there was AC, so there was MOD [don’t know if I got the names right].
Because of this, [we] began to see child (youth) gangsters …???... fight (vicious hatred on) each other at the tournaments.
Back then, [Hmong] mothers and fathers were fobby and followed strict cultural rules/stigmas.
[Hmong] daughters wanted to do things but [mothers and fathers] wouldn’t let and they wouldn’t allow.
Our daughters, therefore, carried (developed) a (rebellious) mindset; they would jump out the windows when it was night.
Mothers and fathers didn’t like this (behavior) so they forced them to marry others’ sons.
When you think (reflect) about it (later), lives were broken because of taking flight (rebellion?).
Because at that time, we (our brains?) were still young and we (our brains?) were still pure.
????...[we were just kids] just 14, 15, 16, at the most, probably just 17.
But at this time, us Hmong have changed a lot. We are not like we were back then.
The ones that have completed (becoming) doctors and lawyers, [we] do have.
The ones that have money and riches, …???... and have become addicted to drugs and medicine, [we] do have.
The ones that don’t do anything, laughing, on (using) SSI all the time, [we] do have.
The ones that gangbang until the day they die, jailed up, [we] do have.
The ones that work for the American government, [we] do have.
Family, brothers, sisters, the poor ways were 40 years ago; don’t despair and don’t cry.
Please wipe your tears.

I got to see him LIVE in MN during the 2019 J4 tourney. I was at the concert on Friday for Dang Thao and friends as well as Saturday for Shong and Sudden Rush. That's like 15+ acts on stage. Dude was hands down the LIVEST PERFORMANCE of them all. His confident intensity and stage presence held the attention of everybody in the venue while he was performing, but I was most impressed by the fact that dude can really rap that fast LIVE while covering the entire stage and anunciate every single word for you to hear. Im so sad of how much these artist speak the realistic of Hmong in their song but it dont seem to teach our Hmong people enough to rethink about their action! Its upsetting to see our Hmong people continue killing their own kind and yet it cant seem to sink into people head that we have struggle long enough.
