I’m so glad that I stumbled upon the Gaither Vocal Band videos on RUclips ten years ago! Have seen them perform a few times and got to hear David sing all his signature songs, including -“Let Freedom Ring,” “Alpha and Omega,” “O Holy Night,” and so many others. Have many CD’s and DVD’s as well. It’s impressive to see in this interview that he still wants to grow as a singer/musician! David, thank you for sharing your amazing talent with the world! I never tire of listening to him!

We recently sat down for a behind-the-scenes visit with powerhouse tenor David Phelps on his farm in Tennessee. He talked about his love for the holiday season and gave us an inside look at how he created his new :It Must Be Christmas" DVD and CD recordings on which he combines classic songs of the season and a crooner style that is all his own. The recordings feature Christmas sentimental favorites such as “Tennessee Christmas,” “Go Tell It on the Mountain,” “Angels We Have Heard on High” and more. “I wanted this recording to be something more than nostalgic. I realized for myself as I wrote for this project that this topic can never be finished being written about. This is the greatest story ever told. Saw him in October, got the Christmas album, we were a little worried it was going to be "jazzy"; however, it has quickly become a beloved CD in our family young to old. We LOVE the songs, kids love Christmas Rush, and Catching Santa, and little Drummer Boy. My favorite is the anthem and of course, Fall on your knees. Incredible. AWESOME album. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Christmas music!
