ICE & ice.....HOW TO READ THE DISPLAY SCREEN
ICE = COOLING PROPERLY....THE MACHINE IS LOWERING THE TEMPERATURE TO FREEZE AS NORMAL...MACHINE IS TRYING TO GET TO DESIRED SET FREEZING TEMPERATURE.
ice = TEMPERATURE REACHED PROPER FREEZING COOLING SETTING AND WILL STAY AT THIS TEMPERATURE UNTIL IT NEEDS TO FREEZE AGAIN.
YOU WILL HEAR THE COMPRESSOR COME ON AND OFF TO KEEP THE LIQUIDS IN HOPPERS AT PROPER SET TEMPERATURE.
ICE = FREEZE
ice = REACHED DESIRED TEMP
SIMPLE, IT WILL GO BACK AND FORTH LIKE THAT TO KEEP LIQUIDS IN HOPPERS FROZEN.

The compressor should turn on and off as needed..usually , it will turn on to freeze and then kick off at chill and go back and forth. Try to go into mode settings on circuit panel and turn them to the coldest longest settings and see if that works. The new boards come pre-set..but, you might have to change settings for it get colder.
Glad we could help with your machine. Is your machine cooling and freezing correctly..with no issues or fault codes on the display screen...? If it working properly, I would leave it be. You need a specific set of gauges to see proper freon levels.

Its been 40 minutes since i turned on the machine but its not freezing anything yet could it be the the black things you changed in your other video??

Make sure your compressor is turning on. If no compressor noise..then your freon might be low. Check your starter capacitor for compressir, as well.
Well when i turn on the machine the compressor kicks in and it appears to work because the compressor gets hot and it doesn't stop working and the 1 hour the compressor didn't stop working it kept working the whole hour so im thinking its the solenoids but im not sure honestly
ICE means control board is calling for "freeze" and solenoids will open . ice means "not freeze" and solenoids are closed. This is determined by torque sensor board in conjunction with torsion springs that are in drive shaft telling the control board to commence freeze to increase thickness. It has absolutely nothing to do with temperature. Each side works independently depending on thickness of product in that hopper.
Temperature only comes in to play when machine is in "chill" (or night time) mode. It is determined by a 2-wire sensor that runs into the freezing barrel from the back via a straw-like opening above the drive motor. 34 degrees is ideal but these sensors are often susceptible to failure.
Recently changed both solenoid does it matter which wires go into valves
I would install all wires etc, exactly as they were.
There are free manuals you can print, online.

My unit will work fine, both sides set to ICE, but then on its own, one side will just change to CHILL and we have to manually set it back to ICE. 10 mins later it switches back to CHILL. Do you think that's a control board issue or a celenoid issue?

My Bunn machine left auger freezes and is good. However, my right side auger is always on "ice" and doesn't even get cold. Why is this?
I would check the two selinods that control the temps..we have a video that shows cleaning or replacing them.
If no freon is moving to that side auger..it will not freeze or cool...
The circuit board can go bad and cause problems as well.
Check all electrical connections, too. They get loose from moving the machines around.
Fix it yourself and save that money!

I can get the left side to cycle from “off” to “ICE”. Any ideas?
Check and clean the selinods...unplug machine and clean the selinods with steel wool and clean connections...use dielectric grease on connections and try the machine.

My machine doesn't freeze on either side. Won't go lower than 72°. Compressor does kick on and it's all cap ICE. what could it be?
I'd check the selinods...clean and grease them..make sure they have good strong working magnets...you can put a screw driver inside them..once removed and see how strong the magnets feel. The TXV valve should open to let the freon flow and freeze or chill the machine.

You should be able to run a test with the control board buttons.

Not one side is working well other side it says fault left torque sensor error any solution
I only have an option of Chill or off, how do I get it to ICE?
It should display on the screen, maybe the circuit board is bad...the circuit board controls the compressor go to freezing or chill mode...when it is in freeze mode it displays ICE...after it's cold enough to freeze it will display ice...all lower case letters..this will keep it frozen and switch back and forth to ICE and ice.
Chill mode just keeps liquid cold for regular cold drinks...not frozen.

Your unit might be just a chill only unit...if they make one....good for cold drinks only, not frozen
what problem did you have that youy changed the board ? also what was the problem that made you change the switches on the side ? i have same unit but having trouble getting my comp to come on . seams like everything is working as it should just no comp . i tested it and it is a good comp . it will sometimes come on and run for a bit and freezing starts fast . any ideas ? tks
The selinods my be weak or dirty...if they are not working properly...the machine will not cycle correctly...moving the freon from chill to freezing, etc.
We changed the board on this machine...because the BICS code was showing on display.
Also, the temperature where the machine is located can affect the cooling...if it's too hot inside or outside, where machine is located, it may not work as well.
I would check the selinods...you can remove them...plug the selinods back in..turn machine on put a screw driver inside each selinod..when it cycles the screw driver should get magnetically stuck to the side of selinods. They are magnetic when power is sent to them.
Weak magnet...equals weak selinods. The unit will not switch the TXV valve for cooling and freezing.
