@@thegullymatrix9425 I'll be putting up a review on my main channel linked in the description, that'll give you a few more reasons to stick with that definitive.
This comment was written as I watched, so mind that I was learning as I watched... That first stage is getting banned in tournaments for that foreground barrel on the right! It isn't easy enough to break. Against Pink, the sand tornado is also a bit strange as it is on the main plane almost like a Smash hazard but just obscures things. Okay! The fight against Oro confirms it, arcade mode genuinely has hazards which can be kinda cool in my book (SF6 made it optional and Smash has done it forever) but they could use more telegraphing so you can play around them and not get punished for a super too much - what if you connect a super but a deer in the background kills you (see Alexander's stage). They definitely need alt colours for the second character, I don't think I saw a mirror match till now. I wish Lei Long didn't job too much, he activated a weird Rush Meter... The SF1-esque final announcer quote was blazing brilliant. Bunshin Kusarijutsu (Mochizuki's super) being able to combo from half screen is scary but I've seen some wild things from the others.
Yeah that barrel in the first stage not breaking even with a super fucking shocked me. The hazards in the rest of the stage didn't do anything to create interesting adjustments; they were moreso just annoying. The game does have alternate colors, so it was surprising that none of them were used for the mirror match. I noticed that activation with Feng too. Wish I knew how to do it, but the game doesn't say how anywhere in it. And the weird thing about Mochizuki's super is that while it can confirm from DEEP, I've gotten more than one instance of the CPU managing to block the divebombs, which makes me suspect you can chicken block to where to even confirming the super doesn't actually confirm it, which is nuts.
@@Goh_Long The hazards/interactions did seem to trend towards being annoying but if they are optional (mainly to keep score or time attack meaningful), I'm happy to have a bit more spice even if it isn't as well considered as some older games (FF1) or newer ones. On repeat playthroughs, they may end up clicking. Hoping the alt costumes will show up in the release build or an early patch then. Feng's install not being documented makes me think that there may be more techniques which aren't documented, is the practice mode decent or are there cool trials? If those weird Mochizuki super interactions happened on stages without hazards, it makes me wonder about counter play as well. Chicken blocking... So you mean we have a normal air block not just an air parry?
I am really feeling the music in this game. The 3rd strike like music changes in each rounds is really groovy. The graphic are good as well & I really like the fact that the super bar is right under your life bar. It is so annoying when the super bar is at the bottom of the screen. Sadly I feel this game won't have a big online community since there are so many 2D fighters out there. If it was to come on Evo, Defend The North, etc. maybe it will have a shot. That tornado in Pink's stage is really annoying. I don't know why they put it there. It is also hard to see Pink's name in that stage when she is on the 2nd player side. They should really add some background or change the text's colors. Oro's stage really needs some work: some of the background characters don't look fully drawn & that guy who grabbed you was just horrible looking. That stage look like it is still in beta form, tbh. Also I am not feeling the announcer's voice either, hopefully they will add a patch to fix these problems. Otherwise this game looks decent enough.
I saw one other playthrough of this and I sadly noticed that not only are the characters you face in Arcade exactly the same but in the exact same order... so even though there are 14 characters anytime you do Arcade mode you will fight the same 6 characters in the same order, everytime...
This game's a solo-dev, but... i've learned my lesson in supporting solo devs. They usually just release it, call it done, when it clearly needs more work. This game also cost a lot for what is incomplete. Like you called out, the short sighted "all playthroughs are the same" is just... such an easy fix before release. You can also see that the AI is trash, it barely blocks. Mid/high attacks that are spammed shouldn't "always" get through their defenses. The dev should've asked for 15$, gotten a larger player base, and inevitably more sales. I don't see it taking off due to those design issues along with the lack of awareness of cost.
@@AnimVision-qp7xq So many thing's that could have been fixed and need to be fixed and unfortunately it probably won't happen. One of the reasons I always avoid "Early Access" games on Steam... What's more wild is that as I type this at 5:31PM EST I look on Twitch and search this game and NO ONE is streaming this now. Brand new fighting game and not a soul is streaming it this hour, at least on Twitch. Even if the dev decides to update and fix things it may be too little too late.
I've been looking forward to this game. But Man this IS NOT a $40 game man. 25 or 25 if im being nice. But the game does look fun. The backgrounds needs WORK though. I hope they fix this before the games comes out.

By the accent I can say for sure that Graffi is dubbed by a French guy.
I recognized the accent that we, french, have when we speak in english

But when french speak english they often put no effort in adding the bri'ish accent
10:49 there seriously isn’t a palette swap for mirror matches??? 6 years in development my god
Surprised me too. Each character has four colors, so this is a baffling oversight.
This game hurts my eyes.
It does have a certain look of jankiness too it. Definitely wont be adding this to my collection
I had to limit my play time per session due to the constant blur effect.

nice mugen game
this game is $40?! nah. waiting for a sale.
I'm gonna cop on day 1 just to show support because basically it was made by 1 person so that 💩 is crazy in itself 😱😱😱

I wonder if this game had a boss
In case, the username left any doubt... You got the Mochizuki pick to confirm who it is...
Cheers!

This is not a 40 dollar game not even close and that’s why I won’t support it until it goes on sale and it better be a damn good one 🤨
If I hadn't gotten it for free, I'd have refunded it
@Goh_Long is it fun to play?
Good music. Bad game.
Where can I get this game?

Hokutomaru is Andy student not mai also similar these characters has to mai is that they both ninjas and women that's it.

Based on the reviews... I don't think Mochizuki is going anywhere near Mai, Andy, Hokutomaru or any other fighting game franchises for that matter.
