@@ccrepairchannel yeah drove it through college, until 2007ish. I had a 1987 volvo 740 for around 6 years..wonderful sturdy old car and i respect your efforts to keep this one going.👍
Thanks! It’s pretty amazing how easy it is to actually daily drive an 80s Volvo 🙂
@@ccrepairchannel 240 saloon is my all time favourite..i now drive a 2008 S40 2nd gen...i love these old swedish bricks..fabulous cars.
@@doctorsocrates4413 Yes, great cars! My ultimate dream Volvo would probably be Amazon station wagon 🤔🙂
@@ccrepairchannel Here in the uk the 240 is quite hard to come by..wish volvo would make them again.

I respect your dedication to getting this Volvo back on the road props bro👍
These old Volvos are so easy to work on… It’s an absolute pleasure compared to most modern cars…
Ive been wanting to get a 740 for awhile now, so far I've studying them like crazy and I gotta say there definitely the most unique sedan seen so far
@@Thatoneguy77834 That is so true, gotta love that unique design!

@@zloychechen5150 why is that
You're a man of few words but you do good work! 😄
Were you able to take off a pillar time without breaking?
I'm afraid I really don't remember... So probably not :P
Great job, I like your style.
What camera and mic setup are you using?
Just an iPhone SE mk2 with tripod :)
What type of matting did you use? Rubber?
Well, I’m not sure what is is exactly… Some sort of foam-rubber maybe.
Awesome 👌 👏 👍🏿 tutorial
what purpose does the tape over the holes have?
Trying to stop smelly fumes entering the interior from engine compartment / underbody sealant. Also to prevent stuff falling inside the cavities.

And why no carpets.. That annoyed me really much
I know, it annoys me too. Didn’t install carpets cause the car leaks water in… Need to sort out those leaks first.
@@ccrepairchannel Oh i see now i get why 👍 usually it is around the windsheild or it might be the heater core

Had an 87 740GLE, she hit 352k miles before she rusted away, I miss that car so much.
So sad to hear that… At least you have the good memories.
