You are such a talent I have worked with paper mache all my life. It's a versatile and cheap medium. Thank you for being detailed with your information.I have learned so much!!!
@mikeyut44 I'd make the armature just like the small dragon, using crumpled paper and tape. Using a cardboard pattern would also help to get the snout the right shape in profile. Then add either paper strips and paste or the paper mache clay. The recipe is on my blog at UltimatePaperMache
Hi Jonni Love your cute dragon What I love the best about your videos is that your very generous with all instructions and tips Really helps Thanks a ton Patricia
Now that you watched the video, you're an expert on the subject. You know just as much about it as I do. (A little secret - I make things up as I go along...)
i made the dragon.. kinda like this following your steps...but my head looks more the shape of a duck than a dragon if you watch the head frontal. i think i made the cheeks too puffy
@MusicWarWar I used my paper mache clay recipe. You can find the video showing how I did this on my youtube channel. Or just do a search on this site for "Dragon Sculpture, Part 2. Adding the Paper Mache Clay ."
@UltimatePaperMache ok i will go there and look, i just wanted a sketch of a giraffe like the ones you have of your elephant and little pony, but of a giraffe instead, how do i make one of those?
@aisumi123 Thanks for the kind words. I don't know of any classes, but I did write a book that you would probably like. You can find it at papermacheclay (dot) com
@medasst100 I don't know of anyone giving away a sketch of a giraffe. If you go to my site and do a search for Owl, you can see how I use a quick sketch of my own to make a pattern, but I do use reference photos I find online to make the sketch. My book shows you how to actually use a reference photo with no intermediate sketch for your pattern. My site is UltimatePaperMache

It's great, but I think the wings are a bit too small to be of any use... =)
