I love the dialogue between Max and Helen, they can be deep and very coded at times. Like the one they had around @23:35 mark with him giving her HOPE in her dilemma and as the episode goes on she in her coded text message that Georgia read around @33:47 mark, reminding him to be hopeful. I think Helen knew what laying up in bed could do to Max and she wanted him to be encouraged. That's some brilliant writing. Cheers to the Writer's Room!👏🏽👏🏽👌🏽

Rewatching the end of episode 1 you can see that the chemistry between max and sharpe is crazy. If anything I think it’s too much considering the characters have only just met. But wow what chemistry we are lucky the show has it cos it bodes well for the longevity of the show
Ryan Eggold was the man we loved to hate in The Blacklist and it sucked when he left, but now he’s the man we love to love in New Amsterdam! I can’t think of a better guy to emulate Dr. Manheimer.

Such a good show. It reminds me of the early days of ER where the focus was on the doctor's lives and their patients. Not drama and chaos and doctors hooking up like in Gray's Anatomy.
Why was that driver not wearing a seat belt? Why did no airbag deploy? Why wasn't the second ambulance using its siren & flashing lights? It's strange that so many safety precautions were either ignored or failed with emergency vehicles & trained drivers / teams.
My dream dad is Tyler Labine. Iggy, actually. The last time my father and I spoke was 12 years ago. I'd give another 12 years of my life for a father who cares about his family. There are fathers like that on a lot of shows I've seen. So maybe I can't help myself and watch it all the time.

It came through a random recommendation through Netflix here in India......Was swapping "The Good Doctor" and "New Amsterdam" every night......I did not know, Netflix here have the license to stream only S1 and S2.....It has been three days, since I feel I am missing something......What a series!!! Everyone plays their role to perfection......When I see Ryan in other TV shows, I could only see Max and same is the case with all other characters.......

As a Yelp elite reviewer the many hospitals that I have been to being a survivor of COVID and battling epilepsy to see the see many things that doctors go through . The relations that doctors have and the many years of knowledge they pass along each day in their daily rounds and surgeries . And some that are having their first time experience the way of seeing a smile of a baby and the work they do in the Hospital . Yes hospital are the world that is of the years of discovery and teaching the many orderlies and nurses that have come to save lives .
