I was a little surprised not to see any comments on this one. I found it deeply impactful, though I was probably there when it was first preached. We run the race marked out for us, and receive the crown of life.
Also people were turned off because they didn’t believe what Jesus claimed to be, the Son of the living God. They thought he claimed he was better than they were

The unfiltered Jesus puts people off because he tells the truth and the truth makes people feel uncomfortable.
They were expecting someone completely different than who He was
Also people were turned off because they didn’t believe what Jesus claimed to be, the Son of the living God. They thought he claimed he was better than they were
People didn’t want to take authority from Him
