    Hey Chris, Thank you for this video. This really helped me. I am in the midst looking for a job as data analytics. One of the assessments is to find the median of some data. I was struggling using Median if formulas then your video popped up when I search "how to" and it works magically... Thank you...

    This was an excellent tutorial. Trying to do medians on salaries has always been such a pain so I am thrilled to have learnt something new. Have bookmarked this page so I can come back to it

      @@ChrisMenardTraining one issue I am having is where I am trying to create another median on another column in a separate worksheet and I keep getting a "we cant summarise this field with average because it's not supported calculation for text data types". I have tried copying and pasting the data as general format but that doesnt seem to help. Any thoughts on this?

      Great to hear. I find myself using the Median much more than the Average.

    I am trying to add measure to table but table is not showing under pivot table . What i see is directly Column names

    Can you calculate the median of a column where two criteria have to be met. Say median of the sales where linked in is the source and single family was also true

      What if it's two conditions, like if you where to check both Source and if was a single household

    Hi Chris, thanks a lot for this video. I've got one question regarding 8:05 - when I drag the column to Values tab, it shows Count only and not Sum with message showing can't show Sum as the column is in text format.. quite weird cause my excel data is all in numbers. Could you help on that please? Thanks.

    Great video. What was the necessity/purpose of turning you data field into a Table first before doing the PivotTable. PT recognizes the range whether it's a table or not. Thanks!!

      If you add data to a range, say a four records at the bottom, the PT will not pick it up on a Refresh - a Table will include it. So, with a range you have to remember to go and change the data source to include the four new records.

    Can you tell me how I would do it if the data in column E were numbers instead? Ex.: LinkedIn=1, Google Ads=2, Meta=3.
