oh boy do chickens love straw. Every time I put fresh straw in the coop they destroy it until they poop on it or just get bored until the next go around with fresh straw. lol
@@havefaithfarms96 it does seem a bit insane! 😂 but it’s entertaining much like their upside down bucket I toss sand on. They love that too and start pecking at it like a drum.
Mine also loved it, but a couple loved it TOO MUCH, and ended up with impacted crops. I lost one of them because of it. I was new to chicken keeping at the time, and didn't know how to fix the problem. So please keep an on yours. ❤
@@Afarmsteadjourney oh dear! I’m sorry to hear that. Were they eating the straw? Mine seem to search for seeds or something to munch on. I’ll keep an eye on them for sure! Thanks for the advice!
@@phenixjiraliving it's for the best because any of the long grasses can cause crop impaction they eat long lose pieces. When they peck grasses while free-ranging, they only get small bites at a time. which is safer for them.
They really like their new lean to! 🥰❤️🐓
@@duboislegacyfarm can’t wait to see if they go there after first snow.
@@phenixjiraliving I bet that’s where they will hang out all winter. 🥰
The eggs and yogurt are a hit. Oh and hay, they LOVE hay! Every time I open the barn to get hay for the goats, the chickens want to “help.”😂😂😂
@@MadRiverHomestead 😂🤓😂

@@phenixjiraliving yes, and they would eat the hay as well.
@ it’s funny what the like to eat sometimes. I don’t have hay so they’re out of luck 😆
