hello. sorry, off topic. I bought the same turntable, did preventive maintenance, except for motor lubrication. Could you tell me how to disassemble the motor, and what kind of grease to lubricate. Thank you in advance for your response!
Ok I Know NOTHING about turntables but I stumbled across one of these! My question is what do I need to buy to get speakers set up to it and what kind of speakers? Thanks!
Im totally new to turntables, and bought this one a few hours ago. Im having a few problems with the setup to my receiver. After some research ive learned a few things. Is that a phono pre-amp beneath the turntable? I got a Oknyo Tx- sr313 receiver that I got 5 components connected to, but im having problem connecting my Sony Ps-212 to the receiver. Do I need to buy a phono pre-amp?
In case you've not yet found out: With the cartridge and stylus (but no stylus guard) attached, take the tonearm off its rest and carefully hold it in mid-air (take care not to knock the stylus), then rotate the silver balance weight (which moves it forwards & backwards on the tonearm) until the tonearm balances exactly level on its own. This is a tracking weight of zero, so holding the silver weight so it can't rotate, turn JUST the black dial on its front so it reads 0. Then turn the whole silver weight again (together with the black dial this time) until it shows the tracking weight you require. The small black dial to the right of the tonearm is the antiskating control - set it initially to the same weight as you've used for the tracking weight.

which needle model it uses in its capsule?
I would not recomend the player , I bought mine used and it broke in the transport 500 yards of walk - broke means it wont even fire a diod.
