I just found this band. I really love Technical Death Metal. It's one of top favorite Sub-Genres of Metal besides DSBM. I love Archspire, Spawn Of Possession, Exocrine, but someone told me about these guys, and I had to check them out, and honestly I love what I'm hearing.

Interestingly enough, the album name Mordrake is based off an urban legend of a child who was born with a face on the back of his head who whispered horrible things to him. The child wanted doctors to remove the face, but they didn't. As the legend goes, he committed suicide at 23.

There's a huge difference between rock and metal. If you grew up on "rock" then your looking at the wrong genre for your nostalgia. Metal has and always will have harsh vocals. There's band's that throw cleans in as well but to find alot of that you should look into some metalcore.
