To be fair, in this type of challenge, an E2 Frostleaf fairs way better than E1. In 95% of regular stages, you won't need her range increase, so the only things E2 can provide are masteries and...a debuff to herself. But here specifically, I managed to increase her ASPD so much that the debuff from her talent didn't even matter anymore. However, her range increase made it possible for her to solo many stages that are hardly solo-able with a classic Lord's range. Looking Forward, Looking Back; Out of Control, Separation and Unity, Crime and Punishment, Ubi Bona Somnia (placing her right below the blue box facing up allowed her to reach and oneshot the lancer guy before it could destroy the last rubble), and even Curse of Cognition...among many other examples. These two extra tiles don't seem like much, but they really save the day in this situation. Though yeah, her talent's debuff is a real pain in the ass outside omegabuffs in ASPD...
Sometimes I wonder how people can be so good at the game. I know there's luck involved since this is IS, but the fact that you can still clear an entire run with just one operator is really damn impressive. Wish I was smart enough for this kind of stuff.
Realistically though, this run was "easier" than most of the usual challenge runs I do. I deliberately chose Frostleaf because of how terrible her reputation is, and because her specificities allow her to be a particularly good low rarity solo operator in IS3 compared to the others (Guard = can block invis enemies, ranged = can deal with aerial enemies, extra range = can reach inaccessible tiles to solo maps with more than one blue box or more than one path to it). In reality, a lot of operators can solo IS3. I'm certain most operators who can deal damage can do it, and it's obviously easier for some compared to the rest. But I wanted to "prove a point" (if that proves anything lmao) by showing Frostleaf can still do stuff despite being trashed on by the community. Well, almost any omegabuffed operator can do this really, but Frostleaf isn't excluded. And I found this clear to be funny, too. This clear specifically is more reliant on RNG than anything else. Anyone can do this with a bit of practice- identifying core aspects of the run, relics to get, maps to avoid, optimal placements to avoid leaks, etc. You'd just need a bunch of runs to get accustomed to the environment and the challenge, since it doesn't really change from one run to another aside from relic/map/rejection RNG. That's all it takes, just a little bit of time. You can try it out yourself :) Then again, I'm also used to using bad/unpopular operators because of my niche. Since I don't play meta, it always drives me to think outside the box to really push through tough clears. So I guess I'm already "conditioned" to thinking in ways a meta player wouldn't. And even then, I'm not even smart xD
How in tf you guys getting 20+ collectibles I only always have around 12-18 collectibles. Nice clear btw if AK didn't do her dirty she might've been more stronger gameplay wise.
Ig try to reduce the leaks in battle since iirc continuous perfect streak can raise the chance of getting relics after battles, I get 20 by the end of most runs without doing anything extra
Well, Frostleaf being the worst Lord isn't wrong. Aside from debuffing herself at E2 by fucking up her S1 timings and providing an (almost) always worthless range expansion, she doesn't do much. Her S2 cycle has the Executor syndrome, so it doesn't help either. Needless to say, leave her at E1 60, and better yet don't raise her at all. Meanwhile you've got Arene who's got something up his sleeve with good skills, and worst case scenario, Midnight will do the job perfectly fine if you don't want to build Arene. And then again Lappland and Thorns exist. Frostleaf underperforms, and even in a vacuum she'd still be kinda meh. It's just that there's approximately 83673987 better options. Though I still think Beehunter is worse than Frostleaf.

okay dude now thats called asserting dominance
