- Last night, Nintendo of America released a trailer video of Pokémon Stadium for Nintendo Switch Online. Weirdly enough, the video is now private!
We had tons of questions for this game since it was first announced 6 months ago. Sadly, there is no possible way to transfer Pokémon to this game. There is, however, online functions!
I dont understand why they cant just throw a rom of RBY in the GB tower, so its always locked in with the game.
While the Stadium games were a lot of fun but beating either of them using only rentals is absurdly difficult. To beat these games you essentially needed the GameBoy games
And I still don’t understand why folks were excited about it
@@daltonoakleyjr391 Probably because most people were expecting the Gameboy Emulator to get Pokemon, and this would become a no brainer way to make this work.
ironically, it's easier to get it working on emulation.
🧢
All N64 games have online play due to the infrastructure of the NSO app. So yes, of course the mini games are playable online.
I was going to get Pokémon stadium at some point since I’m not sure what to do with the Pokémon I have now on home but it’s disappointing to hear that you can’t transfer your Pokémon from home onto stadium
Welp time to hunt for a n64 and a original copy of stadium 1 and 2
there isn't going to be any kind of transfer compatibility ever
Never even played this game but im gonna sail the seas for this game out of spite and play on an emulator that supports transfer pak
Never say never Terry.
@Saul Goodman thoses sony fanboys idiots said the same thing about persona ports... WE WILL SEE
whu cares
@Saul Goodman Steady on, don’t throw all of them under the bus. That’ll get you dismissed as a genwunner by these people.
Why would I want to play stadium with the terrible rental pokemon? Stadium whole creation was to bring your two dimensional pokemon jump to the big screen in the third dimension and battle your friends with your own teams.
I wonder if they’ll update (aka improve) the rental teams at all or simply make the original game available to play. Do we know if battle rules like special/physical following types will still be Gen 1 or something newer?
the rules are gen 1 based and will never be changed and they will never update this old game ever
@@terrysyvertson9205 I should know better by now than to hope for improvements lol
Why would they update the mechanics? It's supposed to play the old games as they were, if you want a rom hack, fans have them in spades.
They might have an issue with the GB games on VC linking up with NSO.
Glad I still have my n64 version
Make a Donkey Kong 64 Kong face pad ranking
I don’t mind there not being transfer back then I was trying to save up just for a n64 and Pokémon stadium so I don’t mind using the rental Pokémon
🤦♂️ I beat the game, I mean unlocked mewtwo and everything with rentals
you a god so
Yeah, I don't understand the perspective of the people who act like it's impossible. God forbid the game actually challenges you and you don't get to steamroll the entire game with perfect movesets.

How u going to transfer gba pokemon to an emulator on a switch. Yall salty over a small thing that doesnt matter
Kinda like how your crummy trolling doesn’t matter 😂
Pokemon fans must be really terrible at playing video games if you need to transfer Pokemon from the mainline games
It is about using Pokemon you hand raised yourself and bonded with over your journey.
@@coolguy5133 blah blah blah get good scrub
The game was literally built and was meant to be played with pokemon caught from the mainline games, which was just gen one back when it first released. The whole point was to battle with your pokemon from red, blue, and yellow in 3D
Troll alert! Do not feed!
Every game on NSO has online options…
Can you use a Nintendo 64 transfer pak on switch online?
I get why people feel like this is a pointless add to NSO without transfers but at the same time how did people expect to be able to transfer pokemon? Once we knew the GB titles weren’t going to be on NSO it was pretty clear (and even then, getting the 2 emulators to talk to eachother seems like more work than Nintendo would go to the trouble for.) Home integration would take MAJOR work- there’s just never been a feasible answer.
So yeah it’s fine to say “what’s the point” but I don’t get why people are acting so shocked and angry about this when the writing was always on the wall.
Oh yes Pokémon Home integration would be tricky. They’ve NEVER brought Pokémon from the Gameboy games onto modern software before.
*cough cough* Pokemonbank! *cough*
Nintento Literally has a Gameboy collection, just like the N64 collection. If they had released the Gameboy Games, then they probably could've had Stadium search for the save file of those games, to read them as game packs and allow you to access them.
You can do this on emulation with a bit of file renaming, so the fact they apparently 'can't do it' is kind of a bs excuse tbh.
@@mrfoxly6833 Not saying it’s impossible but transferring from the GB titles already took 2 pieces of software just to get to home so it would definitely take a bit of actual effort on their part which they don’t seem all that inclined to do.
@@Kohchu Yeah I know it was proven to work on hacked switches I’m just saying that we knew they weren’t releasing the GB titles officially so the writing was kinda on the wall there
@@GomerJ I see, if that’s the case then there’s a simple explanation. The fans aren’t shocked, they’re angry.
Why the hell would they allow external Pokémon!? That’s stupid! Go play the newer games!!
Because it was the main selling point of the game back when it first released back in the 1990s. The whole point was to use your pokemon that were caught in red, blue, and yellow and battle with them in 3D
I'd rather play BDSP. Much better than NSO Stadium games.
