katie elizabeth hi, it’s been a while, but move-in went great. Classes are pretty good. I’m loving the college life so far but it’s hard being away. I’ve been wicked busy but in the best way and I got a job on campus and sign up for 2 clubs. I think it will be a good year. I hope all goes well for you.
I just found your channel and ahhhh i've already subscribed ehehe. At the moment i live in Portugal but i would love to live in England because i honestly just love the British accent haha
Greetings from Italy :D I am just watching college videos in order to understand something about it 'cause I'd like to take a MA in USA one day (or well, wherever that settle me down abroad lol). Have I heard right about 60$ for books? Can I ask you if students can buy them in "book thrift shop" or from other students which had taken class before you? Is it mandatory to buy books or you can take notes and hope to pass the exam? Sorry for the question, I know you're just a freshman and maybe you know less than someone further in study about the "taking class stuff". P.S. I apologise for my so bad English.
hi!! that's so cool that you're in italy omg i would LOVE to go there someday. and i think i've spent about $175 for book so far?? and i don't know about a "book thrift shop" here at least, but i do know that you can buy them used for a lot less or rent them on amazon for pretty cheap. and for most classes there are quizzes that go with the book so i'd say they're pretty mandatory (unless you can find a free trial online or something hahaha) hope that was helpful!!:)
katie elizabeth Thank you for your answer! Renting the books or buying them used sounds better than be flat broke after you have paid so much. Here in Italy there are bookshops which sell only used books, in some classes it isn't mandatory to have books though, you can just write down notes during the classes and study on them. Well, thanks again and good luck for you freshman year :D
Your videos somehow make me less nervous about transferring to a university 👌 (I'm currently in community college) also you have such a similar personality to mine lol
Katie Elizabeth and here I am. Moved from NYC to Rome to Germany over the last 5 years. The healthcare is good here ;). Ps Italy isn’t that expensive to live in
