Forest Fair Mall | Bass Pro Closing & Exploring Abandoned Parking Garage 4K

- Made a revisit to Forest Fair Mall in Cincinnati. As Jan 13th, 2024 was the last day of Bass Pro being open at this location. As it will be moving to a new location. Leaving Kohls being the only store left attached to the mall. Once Kohls closes they are set to begin demolition of Forest Fair. I'm grateful to of been able to get the footage I did back in 2021. As I'm pretty sure they have this place relatively sealed up. As far as I know. After taking a couple last looks into the mall corridor through Bass Pro and Kohls. I decided to be a bit devious and explore the massive parking garage of the mall. Which I didn't get to show last time. Extra creepy being completely abandoned and with barely any lights on. The doors to the stairs that would of lead into the mall were sealed and bolted shut sadly. Still, I'm happy to of been able to get one last look at the mall, as I'm sure I won't be in the neighborhood again until it's probably gone. As it is what they are planning for this year, to demo the place.

The last time I was in this mall it was still called Cincinnati Mills. It must’ve been over a decade ago. I went to the food court to eat, and most of the restaurants were closed but a Subway was open. I ordered from them and then sat in that huge, beautiful food court. I was the only person in the whole food court other than the worker at Subway. I felt like I was in some apocalyptic movie. I’m surprised this mall is still here considering how empty and dead it was way back then. It’s too bad because it is a gorgeous mall.
Spent 1999 to 2003 coming to Metropolis night club almost every weekend from Indiana. Had a lot of great memories at that mall
I loved this place, it was fun going to the arcade, which sadly moved farther form me, but to a much better spot. It was a fun place to just walk in. I drove up the parking garage once because the chain was gone, security jumped on me fast for that, I wasn't aware it wasn't allowed. Exploring the different entrances to the mall, the different areas, there is no place in that mall the same as another.
I went here in 2022 and walked around. I’m younger so things were already starting to close down but it was oddly beautiful there when I saw it again. Does anyone know if you can get in the main entrance?
They done caught me snooping around and kicked me out. XD
There's was a security dude riding a bike around. Really tore into me fire and brimstone and all that.
I hear that now it is closed off they got some wacky, jewel heist movie level of security inside as far as motion sensors everywhere.
Did you get inside? I tried to but its all sealed
@JackSchreiner I got into the service halls when the mall was open. Now that it's closed there are still a few ways apparently to get inside... The bad news is from footage I have seen the inside is filled with motion sensors and subject to patrols from security. It's hilariously locked down like a heist film. 😆

A few days ago I literally spent an hour going around all the front and back entrances and the parking garage but they all bolted shut unfortunately. There was one door with graffiti that read open but it too was sealed. Surprisingly I didn't see any cops or security and I went in broad daylight. Shame, I fucking love this place and would want to see it one last time before it gets the wrecking ball. But considering you said the place is wired asf I think i'll take the L
@JackSchreiner For a short time a window was kicked in and some kids used this to explore the old Biggs retail space. When they tried going into the mall proper motion alarms triggered and they had to boogie.

Happened upon this place while making a pilgrimage to Red Lobster, wanting to revisit it since their own bankruptcy loomed. Is this another case of a TX property holding firm letting a mall decay and blight a community because it's more good to their pocketbook as a tax writeoff?
I thought this mall closed down and there were no businesses in it. Did you by chance see the security guard guy?

There is a security guard now wondering the vacant parking lot closest to the highway now. He is not allowing anyone to park on the lot. Which just started a couple of weeks ago. He rides around on a beat up bike with a beanie that says security. He’s telling everyone they’ll be arrested for sitting in their car on that lot. A few people I work with in the area told me about it.
Security guy doesn't seem to be around, at least every day, anymore. Made some kids messing around in the parking garage nervous when I was doing a lap around the building, but nobody was actually chasing them out.

At one time In the back of the kohl's garage you could see a ford suv that was a security car. Sooo much dust on it tires rotted and flat. Definitely early 2000's modle but yeah.

Why did this mall close? How long has it been empty? Looks like it was a Awesome mall at one time,our mall in my town is still alive,barely,we are suppose to have a TJ Max and a Kohls coming,we will see how long those last🤔 Thanks for the video😊
absolutely awful planning, bad market research, and the fact that there was the tri-county mall, which is also closed, only 5 minutes down the road.
@@gracefulgaming6774 ah ok 👌 I don't think there are many malls left anymore sadly,I am 50 and the mall was part of my childhood,we once had a mall with every store filled,now there are only a few stores left,I think the Target is the only thing keeping it open,online shopping is the "mall" now
It was a massive fire hazard. Around the time it closed, there were orders taped to the doors of the mall explaining that the Fire Department ordered for the mall to be permanently shut down.
