    In this video, you will learn how to make Chicken Teh Wali Biryani. The procedure for making Teh Wali Biryani is slightly different from other recipes. In Teh Wali Biryani the rice is boiled separately almost 80%. Chicken is tendered separately and cooked in onions, tomato, yogurt, ginger, garlic, green chilies, and ground spices. Once the rice is boiled and the meat is tentered then the rice and tendered meat are placed in layers one by one by adding one layer of garnishing of mint leaves, green chilies, and food color. You can also use Biryani Masala to make it spicy.
    Ingredients:
    -Oil (1 cup)
    -Onion (Pyaz)sliced (3 medium)
    -Chicken (1 kg)
    -Ginger Garlic (Adrak Lehsan) paste (2 tbsp)
    -Biryani Masala (2 tbsp)
    -Red Chili (Lal Mirch) powdered (1 tbsp)
    -Salt (Namak) 2 tbsp or to taste
    -Garam Masala (1 tsp)
    -Black Pepper (Kali Mirch) powdered (1 tsp)
    -Tomatoes (Timatar)sliced (4 medium)
    -Yogurt (Dahi) 1 cup
    -Dried Plum (Alo Bukhara) 5
    -Achar (1 tbsp)
    -Water (as required)
    -Green Chilies (Hari Mirch) 2
    -Fresh Coriander (Hara Dhania) 2 tbsp
    Boiling Rice:
    -Rice (Chawal)soaked (1 kg)
    -Water (as required)
    -Cumin Seeds (Zeera) 1 tbsp
    -Black Cardamom (Bari ELachi) 2
    -Green Cardamom (Sabz Elachi) 3
    -Cinnamon Sticks (Darchini) 2
    -Star Anise (Badiyan Ke Phool) 2
    -Cloves (Laung) 5
    -Black Peppercorns (Sabut Kali Mirch) 10
    -Bay Leaves (Teiz paat) 2
    -Salt (Namak) 1 tbsp
    -Green Chiles (Hari Mirch) 3
    Garnishing:
    -Mint leaves (Podina) 2 tbsp
    -Green Chilies (Hari Mirch) 2
    -Food Color (Yellow & Orange)
    Method:
    -In a pot add, oil and onion and fry until lightly golden.
    -Add, chicken, ginger garlic paste, and fry until it changes color.
    -Add, salt, red chili powder, garam masala, biryani masala, dried plum, achar, black pepper powder, lemon juice, and 2 tbsp water and cook for 2-3 minutes.
    -Add, tomatoes, and yogurt.
    -Add, water and cover the lid cook for 20 minutes until the chicken is done & until the oil separates.
    Boiling Rice Method:
    -In a pot add, water, zeera, black cardamom, green cardamom, cinnamon stick, black peppercorn, cloves, star anise, bay leaves, and green chilies bring it to a boil.
    -Add rice and boil until 3/4 done (8-10 mins) then strain and set aside.
    -Take out half the quantity of chicken gravy in a bowl for layering.
    -In a pot add, half the quantity of boiled rice, reserved chicken gravy, and the remaining boiled rice.
    -Garnish the first layer with yellow and orange food color, green chilies, and mint leaves.
    -Cover the lid and steam cook for 15 mins on low flame.
    -Chicken teh wali biryani is ready to serve!
